You do realize that you have to get 5 of each chip in a single run to finish the color chip collection. The three bars above each chip tell you if you’ve gotten to 1, 3, or 5. You still had 15 hours left, so I would still count it if at some point in the future you gave yourself 15 hours to finish that.
You can still get five and unlock all the dialogue, but in the Switch app, some require you to collect 10 of the same chip to be considered “fully collected.” Dunno why they did it like that but eh
assuming you want all the badges and splashtags as well, no, you can’t 100% the entire Splatoon series in a week. You can do it over 7 years for 3 though!
Honestly I reckon that's an underestimate. Do you remember me (If not, that's fine, there's lots of viewers in his streams, I'm just one of them. I wonder when he'll stream it next.)? Btw when he does stream next, I might share with him what I did for my testing of a charger damageless run (that I failed :( ). There's a lot to talk about with that. I also did a stringer damageless run (that I also failed :( ), and it was interesting because I managed to stack some chips he hadn't really stacked yet. Sorry for the long message lol
It took 33 hours and 30 minutes to 100% splatoon 3. I’m surprised you didn’t have a celebratory three extra minutes at the end to make it line up more lol!
I REALLY hate to break it to you because I've had to go through the pain of doing it myself, but in order to fully 100% Side Order you need to collect 5 OF EACH CHIP IN A SINGLE RUN. Just like when splatting enough Jelletons, it unlocks more information about the chip and if you do that for a sub-tone (all chips within the bracket under them), you unlocl a badge of that sub-tone's color for multiplayer. The problem is it really depends on RNG and you can only influence your chances with Random Factors hacks, so I guess it's not a huge problem for not doing it because most people don't even know about that.
I spent like 1.5 weeks grinding trying to get all 5 chips of all colour chips done (tho I also did other things in the game in that week like multiplayer and also things outside of the game), and I wasn't even done then. I still had like 5-10 left to do. Even now, on June 29th, 2024, I still need to max out splatling barrage.
Yeah I hate this… I spent like 20 runs on dualies trying to get max dodge rolls and still haven’t gotten it and it’s the only one I have left. Also depending on what you call 100% you might need to get 10 of each attack up type chip because it shows on the splatnet app
OOOOOOH, you're just 100% the SINGLE player content. That makes a lot more sense. And here I was thinking you'd actually be crazy enough to attempt getting all the multiplayer content to 100%.
Ngl, even just completing splatoon one in 1 day sounded monumental to me, because even I knew how much grinding was required for those upgrades, let alone doing the amiibo challenges afterwards

The reason why I mention that is because you unlock stickers for a complete color chip entry set that, unlike Cipher's store itself, can't be bought and must be earned. He didn't mention that the final palette must also be defeated while having less than 5 hacks enabled for its sticker. nitpick aside, I had the feeling that it wouldn't have been possible to get the above collectibles within said week. This is actually insane. I haven’t played Splatoon before but I am planning on getting 3 soon, and I can’t imagine playing pretty much the same game for 10-14 hours per day for even only a couple days. I give you props for this. This is possibly one of the craziest challenges I’ve seen on yt.
That bit about needing goals hits home. I've just started to notice that in my own life, too. Having lots of downtime sounds great, and it's hard to realize that it might be making you feel awful instead.
At first I thought it shouldn’t be too hard, but then I remembered the Amiibo levels as well as several hard levels in Octo Expansion, (including… them…) and now I’m concerned
Working hard towards something is when humans are at their best. Don’t ever feel guilty if you feel best and most fulfilled when you’re working hard towards something. It is completely natural to want to work and to like working. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that’s wrong. Love the channel and the videos!
I love how in the 3D Mario marathon, Nathan was like "I'm not doing this again" and now we're in the 6th marathon. These videos are so entertaining to watch.
Good stuff. Things looked close come Splatoon 2 and Side Order, but you managed to make it look easy, lmao. Anyhow, looking forward to the next hundo marathon where we may or may not see a green plumber who dons the letter "L" on his cap traversing through haunted houses and hotels with a vacuum given to him by a kooky scientist who just happened to be the same person who created the magic paintbrush used by the mischievous son of the king of the Koopas, and the water device used by the green plumber's red brother during said brother's vacation on a dolphin-shaped island (oops, i might've spoilt what the next marathon will be, LMFAO)?
He forgot to max out the color chip collection, though. In order to max it out, you have to get at least 5 of each chip in a single run, even for the ones that have max 9. You can see this from the 3 bars above each chip.
for that one splatoon 2 sunken scroll you mentioned, there was an unbreakable cube you could also jump up to get to it you didn't have to use the breakable boxes
The reason why the jump button is on X in Splatoon 1 is because is the closets button to the R Stick. But on the Switch, it's not the X button who's close to the R Stick anymore, but the B button. That's why in Splatoon 2 & 3, they change the jump button to be on B. At least, the X button is not useless in both 2 games, that's a good thing. :)
Really a rollercoaster ride from the difficult challenges to against all odds of beating it! And awesome to see you doing the 100% challenge on splatoon! & also love the animation from each day, especially for number seven! With 8 laying all the palettes out!

14:57 the pain that I experienced trying to beat this level even the first time made me put the single player down for months. There is a running joke I have with my friends that “I can’t aim” I had originally brought it up to my friends when i finally beat this very level with the blaster which is my worst weapon by far. It has stuck by me ever since and the blaster was the third thing I upgraded all because I wanted to get it done as fast as possible. There was always constant thought of “when should I beat the story mode with the blaster” and just so I wouldn’t be pained from that I alternated between hero shot and blaster through all the worlds so I wouldn’t have to use it for more than one world at a time. I beat world 5 with the blaster a year before splatoon 3 came out and it was the final weapon replica that I got.
God, Nathaniel Bandy and Splatoon 1. What a blast to the past to when I was nine years old. My childhood in a lightning bottle. Splatoon 3, watching back videos I watched before I was a teen and didn't get the rude jokes and many other things is what keeps me going in life. I love it all. I only got my switch a few months ago back in April and I really need to play Splatoon 3 again. All I'm trying to say is I'm thankful that I was able to experience stuff like this and love the content. ❤ *slightly long comment lol*
Just got to the beginning of Splatoon 2 in the vid. I was wondering since I saw the video in my feed if you were going to “1000%” the second game and you actually did. Doing it myself was one of the most aggravating and boring I’ve had as a completionist, so I can’t help but genuinely respect the gusto. Mad respect all around!!!
Fun Fact: You are no longer able to truly 100% Splatoon 1, due to the fact that you can't access Splatoon 1's online features, in order to get all of the obtainable weapons, obtainable gear, and max level.
30:24 "You have to play stealthy." My guy you have a giant hammer and you are pulverizing these poor octopus into the ground so much you'll have to pick out their brains from your shoes, I'm not sure that's what most would call stealthy.
1:55 the wii u's hardware is actually really close to the switch in raw power. its slightly worse, obviously but the difference isnt as big as you might think.

You gotta stop torturing yourself with these marathons lmao
Did you not listen to what he said during the video?
@@RenardioMFG no because I commented it before I watched
God, Nathaniel Bandy and Splatoon 1. What a blast to the past to when I was nine years old. My childhood in a lightning bottle. Splatoon 3, watching back videos I watched before I was a teen and didn't get the rude jokes and many other things is what keeps me going in life. I love it all. I only got my switch a few months ago back in April and I really need to play Splatoon 3 again. All I'm trying to say is I'm thankful that I was able to experience stuff like this and love the content. ❤
*slightly long comment lol*
I'm expecting some rage moments for Splatoon 2, it is not a fun game to 100%
Just got to the beginning of Splatoon 2 in the vid. I was wondering since I saw the video in my feed if you were going to “1000%” the second game and you actually did. Doing it myself was one of the most aggravating and boring I’ve had as a completionist, so I can’t help but genuinely respect the gusto. Mad respect all around!!!
4:15. Those "orange orbets" are named power eggs
Omg! Really!??!!??
18:22 i will note that octo expansion does count completion after the time runs out, unlike 3
but damn, that was close
“You jump with X for some reason”
Have you played smash bros ultimate?
I use Y not X
I like how these marathon videos never get old, and are still worth going back to and staying on top of!
Dude ya know there calamari rings NOT onion rings!!!
The deep thoughts stuff at 13:23 being supplemented by Celeste music is gold
Shell in the thumbnail??
👀👀
Fun Fact: You are no longer able to truly 100% Splatoon 1, due to the fact that you can't access Splatoon 1's online features, in order to get all of the obtainable weapons, obtainable gear, and max level.
Could you do Luigi's mansion next time?
Petition for Nathaniel to try to 100% every rhythm heaven game in two weeks

it all looked easy until the second game began
@@specialelfilin how hard is the second game?
@@M64bros a lot harder to 100% than the first game that's for sure or maybe it just takes way longer
@@M64bros Playing it casually, it's not that bad. But going for 100 percent, it's terrible.

"You have to play stealthy." My guy you have a giant hammer and you are pulverizing these poor octopus into the ground so much you'll have to pick out their brains from your shoes, I'm not sure that's what most would call stealthy.
100%… an online game?!?
He's 100 percenting the single-player modes.
100%… an online games story mode?!?
@@SALTYTOAD00I know

10:04 the fact that Nathaniel mentioned Nuke Town, makes me hopeful for a Fallout Marathon eventually

The transitions are nuts! The animators really put a lot of work into them!! I ❤ your vids
I miss these being live-streamed so we can actively watch the progress along the way.
Having to 100% a splatoon game is like when the teacher sends you on a random side quest while everyone else is just doing the work they want to
I love the fact that Nintendo creates family-friendly games that are easy to play. But put you through literal hell if you try to a hundred percent.
Splatoon is an amazing game trilogy and Awesome you 100% it😊 Really Amazing video!!
Gosh I love all the cute animation intros of each day! There SO GOOD!

"Can I 100% every splatoon game in 1 week?"

Love the 100% marathon videos!

It’s always fun to theorize what Nathanial Bandy is going to do next for his marathons
Really enjoyed this video! Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see what speed run is next lol
Nate should try to 100% Complete Meat Boy Flash, Super Meat Boy and Super Meat Boy forever in one week.
There is nothing on this planet that could get me to show that chair online.
1:55 the wii u's hardware is actually really close to the switch in raw power. its slightly worse, obviously but the difference isnt as big as you might think.
You can't escape the Zelda marathon Nate. It is inevitable
