This is one of the best pitches I’ve seen on the show. Great confident pitch, led with and actually knew all the numbers. Was smart enough to negotiate and get a good deal. Whether the company succeeds or not, that guy will because he’s doing a great job
You do realise that there is no functioning elevator, don't you? It's a studio mock-up ... the contestant walks in through one door and goes straight through the other door ... all on the same level. Sometimes they do a bit of fake chat in the "elevator" before the other door is opened.
This is one of the most baffling Jenny outs of the entire series, should have at least matched the other offers because he'd never have chosen her. Tej was also a bit naïve in saying no to the buyback, he made the guys decision a very easy one.
He brought a great product to market for under £20,000 then got arguably the two most desired Dragons at effectively 10% each. Impressive to say the least.

Here's my issue with Tej: sometimes, when he's clearly "the right Dragon" for the entrepreneur, he refuses to lower his equity demand in order to secure the deal. Surely he must realize that the other competing Dragons will certainly take a little bit less in order to win, and that Peter and Deb are the most attractive investors for these entrepreneurs. What gives?
@@matik0701 Agreed, do you think Peter worth 1.1 bn and in at 12.5% will spend more then 20 mins or an hour of his assistant's time setting this guy up with contacts? At 25% it's worth it for Tej to spend more time with the business and to introduce the best routes to market.
There's no market for this. I often sit in the sandpit in the local playground drinking cans of Carling and eating Hobnobs and nobody wants one when I scream at them.

It's standard tactic. Why are people still surprised by this? It works for both dissuading others from investing and keep viewers grounded for the TV product.

Honestly I’ve liked a lot of pitches on this show but I’ve never been as excited by a product than I did with this one, I will definitely be trying these with the right beverage and can easily see with his packaging these products in the like of M&S and Waitrose.
