Really enjoy your driving views of Albany ! Lived there for 67 years before moving to Pennsylvania. I miss the city.
Almost feel like I’m back there thanks to your videos My Friend. Hope all the protests and violence that’s now come
To the city won’t ruin it or lives of it’s citizen.

Some amazing architecture in Albany. 11:40 check out the big cupola on top of the building at the corner of Trinity and Ashgrove. I'll have to look for that next time I'm there. Wouldn't want to explore the alley just down the street though. Looks sinister.

I still don't see the point in just riding around in a very small part.at 44 seconds you are at the eastern edge of the city. Almost at the river. Take a left and drive west towards Colonie and the city goes on for 5-6 miles and looks totally different than this.100 percent different just a mile away.and if you turn right and drive over the river you will be in a rural area in 5 -7 minutes.

Yeah definitely some rough areas in Albany.... still 88-90% is either decent or actually quite beautiful.... it’s like a small Boston.... in the 1970’s.... so so so much potential... insane property taxes, useless and clueless politicians, and a Soviet Union style mindset when it comes to the local economy.... beat the useless clueless mayor can come up with for economic development is “we get more federal money if our census is good”... can’t make this stuff up... having said that there are 3 running against her in next election who clearly how ZERO experience....nobody here cares about lot holes and keeling streets clean... the local leaders babble about climate change and social justice.... its insanity

@@markjones7185 I am here in Albany for the past almost 20 years. No doubt some areas are being decimated. Our mayor and police chief are a disaster. "Community policing " is a joke and an utter failure. Not one idiot in charge in this state (or USA) will admit the real problems...people need jobs and industry and structure and safety and education and families. We cannot keep poor people all together in a tinder box without any hope and expect things to improve. I feel your pain. The city still has some incredible things going for it but it needs someone to take the bull by the horns and fix it. There is NO REASON for people in Loudonville and Delmar to have essentially private schools and police forces with black lives matter signs on than manicured lawns but are unwillingly to allow school choice in their towns!!!! The people in inner city America need a chance!!!! Now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The policies for the past 200 and mores specifically the past 60-70 years have been an utter catastrophe. We've had as many shootings Albany as deaths from Covid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And nobody seems to care.
