      thank you. I had such a blast filming Albany and it being the Capital of one of the greatest states, I wanted to give as much background as possible.

    Very nice job, I have lived in the area for 3 years and it has everything you would want. Close to great cities like Montreal, NYC, Boston, and lakes and mountains north and south from you. I lived in North Carolina for 15 years and the only thing they have over this area is warm weather, I don't miss North Carolina or the South one bit!

      I moved to Raleigh in 2006 from Albany and might be moving back this summer because housing is too unaffordable now for a single person now. It makes me feel better seeing this comment thank you

      @@Azlynn100 I know a lot of people that moved to Raleigh, like it for the weather, but I also know a lot of people that left, who said it was not for them. Personally, every place has it's pros and cons. Good luck to you!

      @@ronaldcarlson8572 I get it, I would describe it as really great for families so as much for single people. Was really boring first several years I lived here but it’s really come a long way. I didn’t like at first but I love it now. I live in Cary just outside of Raleigh. A lot of New Yorkers in this town too. They call it Containment Area for Relocated Yankees🤣 It will nice to come back and be with family snd friends and not have to use my vacation time every year to visit. Can take real vacations now. Thank you!

    If you're looking for suggestions I've seen you biking in some videos. The best day trip bike trail I've been on was the Pine Creek rail trail near Wellsboro PA. Also, Lewisburg PA is a very cute college town, especially in the spring.

    This video taught me so much about my home town!
    I don't recall the museum documenting New York's slave trade, am I correct with this? It's such an important part of the north's industrial and general history so I'm surprised.
    Can we also talk about how NOT boring this city is? Folks in my family used to call it Smallbany but clearly we just weren't going out much.

    • @JoseOnTour
      @JoseOnTour  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I would visit as a kid I use to say the same thing. But as an adult I've explored the area pretty in-depth and its not small at all. Its one of my favorite capitals across the country. I think there was an area that included NY's slave trade. Its around the Native American history but lighting was very dark for my camera to capture properly. It also included Seneca village history.

      Anywhere can be entertaining. It’s all about your mindset and perspective. There’s people that live in cabins in the woods in the middle of nowhere and entertain themselves perfectly fine every day. Albany has everything you could ever need. Just gotta look for it and actually have a sense of adventure

      Hi Kaitlin, there is public transportation like buses in the city, but I recommend a car for most areas in Upstate New York. A lot of hills. Things also tend to be far

      Hi James, 2 days is plenty of time to explore Albany. I am not sure if you are going on a weekend but the Capital Building is only available at selected times throughout the weekday.
