This video shows you how to install a new control arm bushing on your 1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner. Rubber bushings help smooth out a ride, but are susceptible to wear or drying out and crumbling over time. This bushing is replaceable separate from the control arm, and you can replace it yourself.
This repair was done on a 2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5 3.4L Sport Utility 4-Door 4WD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
1996 Toyota 4Runner
1997 Toyota 4Runner
1998 Toyota 4Runner
1999 Toyota 4Runner
2000 Toyota 4Runner
2001 Toyota 4Runner
2002 Toyota 4Runner

17:36 there is a cup slightly larger than the one on top that presses against the bushing flange and not the inner part of the bushing. I recently did this job and the kit had a cup that fit over the rubber and onto the bushing flange perfectly
. Thanks for making this video
This bushing are similar as hyundai tucson 2.0 crdi d4ea diesel, thank you for this vídeo 👏, this tip is the most powerfull
Great video. You do such a good job with all your videos. Do you think it would be easier to sawzall the lip off the bushing and then press it out?
Ive done this job several times. Id rather just buy new control arms with the bushings altrady installed.
Thank you for your time.
Main focus is the rust, tackle the rust first den throw in the good parts..
