    Thank you Dr Snipes for sharing your knowledge on anxiety. Anxiety is another questionable emotion with me. Based upon experience, I'm afraid of noises in the dark . Another example is when someone raises their voice towards me I assume that their angry with me. I often feel guilty and feel bad about myself.

      I have come to learn that the way I react to things is due to my stinking thinking, such as personalization. Living in the moment, I will start to be more mindfully aware of my thoughts and rewrite the tapes of my thoughts when necessary. One suggestion that you gave was to write down our thoughts. I think that was a good suggestion because that way I can see them written down and discard those that are not needed. By overcoming the stinking thinking, I will begin to overcome my fears. Thanks again Dr Snipes.

    How do you address it when it’s happening? My chest and neck turn bright red and splotchy for instance just going to talk to a boss or a meeting. It also happens during thoughts of past traumas. Any tips on how to get that trapped anxiety/trauma out of my system are appreciated!

      Here are some videos on releasing trauma th-cam.com/users/DocSnipessearch?query=trapped What you are feeling is your HPA-Axis (stress response) kicking in and dumping a ton of energy to help you evaluate whether you are safe. 1. Be compassionate with yourself and recognize your sympathetic nervous system is just trying to help. 2. Practice slow breathing to trigger the vagus nerve (relaxation) 3. Be mindfully aware of your situation--- are you safe in the present context 4. Turn your attention to 5 things you see, 4 things you hear, 3 things you smell to get grounded in the present moment. These strategies can help you get into your wise mind so you can decide what to do next.

    Is there any natural ways to be healed from such without prescription drugs?
    Asking because Tried the prescription meds and had bad experiences. Doc wanted to put on some again ,but I dont want to ....
    If it's a belief , then renewing my mind could break the cycle ?

    There's two kinds of anxieties there's the physical anxiety and the emotional anxiety and people get them mixed up all the time if you're afraid to drive it's a physical anxiety not emotional

      How do u overcome the physical anxiety

    • @DocSnipes
      @DocSnipes  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They are actually the same. Anxiety is a physiological response that we label. If you are afraid to drive, that fear is based in past experiences and related cognitions. When that schema is triggered it activates the physiological stress response

    • @Alphacentauri819
      @Alphacentauri819 ปีที่แล้ว

      Driving can create emotional anxiety based on all the things Dr Snipes says.
      However, a physical feeling of anxiety caused by something like histamine overload, oxylate sensitivities and so on...can definitely have a physiological origin, but can cascade into an emotional anxiety adding to it very quickly.
      I didn't know about this, even as a nurse, until my child was affected by allergies, too much histamine (and too little ability to break it down) and the subsequent "anxiety" issues was overwhelming, to say the least.
      That is an example of a physical caused anxiety.

      My therapist told me to hold something in my hand and describe it to myself. Describe its size, shape, texture, and color. It's easier to replace the thoughts instead of just trying to not think. If the anxiety is really bad, you can also hold an ice cube in your hand. It sounds stupid but it really works fast.
