I love your presentations. I watch these all the time as i wait for a new therapist. Your presentation so helpful, much more than some therapist i have had.

I’m so glad you found the video helpful! Schema Therapy can be such a powerful tool for helping clients recognize and reshape deep-rooted patterns that contribute to anxiety and depression. It’s amazing to see how identifying and working through those core beliefs can lead to real change.
What aspects of Schema Therapy are you most excited to incorporate into your work with clients?

Hi Dr Snipes, are Schemas the same as CPTD? Im not sure if you mentioned that befor.

    • @DocSnipes

Thank you for watching the video.
Schemas and cPTSD are different but interconnected concepts. Schemas are cognitive structures that help us interpret the world, while cPTSD is a psychological disorder resulting from prolonged trauma. In the context of cPTSD, schemas can be negatively affected. For instance, someone with cPTSD may develop a schema that the world is a dangerous place, based on their traumatic experiences. This schema can then contribute to the symptoms of cPTSD, such as hypervigilance and avoidance of reminders of the trauma. Therefore, while schemas and cPTSD are different, they can interact in significant ways.
