Had an awesome day with you guys, Jimmy. thank you so much for doing such an incredible job with the video. makes me want to go out and drive it right now!
Even though I love (and personally prefer) the Sepang blue on my own C7.5 RS6, the Ascari blue on this example is really growing on me. Seems to be extremely rare too, when I was in the market for one of these at the beginning of the year I can remember only one being available during my 3 months of searching. Very subtle and understated, helps the car blend in much easier compared to the much brighter Sepang variant. Noticed that you drove the whole time in dynamic mode, would've been good to see demos of the other comfort/individual modes. Having had full fat M cars over the years I'm so glad I switched over to Audi, had a stage 2 480hp B8 S4 before upgrading to the RS6. Even though the RS6 has over 700hp and near 1000nm, it never seems to urge me on like all the M cars seem to do. Getting around 24-30mpg a tank too, unbelievable given the power and weight this lump has. An enjoyable review, keep up the good work!
Thank you so much pal, and that's very eagle-eyed of you! I actually drove the first 10 mins (that I don't think made the cut) in comfort before switching, and I totally forgot to ever switch around! A good lesson for future videos to make a point of switching between them often and reviewing that part!
@@petrolpoodle No problem, glad it helped! I couldn't drive for long in my own in dynamic mode, it came with a Milltek sports catted downpipe and it can go off like an AK47 when backing off the throttle so I rarely ever use it. I've configured the individual mode to allow the engine noise but no cracks n pops so its a happy medium. Cheers
I would do unforgivable things to have the stinger sound like this 😂! Gorgeous car, and great review of it too! Can totally see why this in many cases is the perfect one car all rounder, if you've got the ability to handle it's running costs.
I just watched your review: well done! All aspects of RS6 ownership well summarized. After a few RS models, we now own a Sepang blue RS6 C7 for years. Fortunately, we don't have to ask ourselves about a real sports car next to it, because we own those (me being a lucky idiot). As an "only vehicle" for a petrolhead, the RS6 is fairly good. Sound, looks, but also comfort and practicality are given with this car. As an alternative to the RS6 C7 as an “only car”, I see an RS4 B8 or B7, M5 F90 or a new M3 touring. But I agree with you: A slightly cheaper everyday car and a real sports car (under 1500 kilos, 300 hp upwards) are - if you have to look a bit more at the budget - the better solution for a petrolhead. Anyway: Thanks for the review!
Thank you for your very kind words! And that sounds like you've got the dream garage! This as an insane daily and something fun on the side! Also I'll be reviewing an RS4 B8 soon so can let you know how I think it differs!
A well rounded review & fortunately timed (for me at least). I plan on ignoring all offered logic & buying one despite your well structured warnings 👍🏻
This is the best comment I've read in ages, I actually laughed out loud hahahahaha a GREAT choice my friend, go and enjoy it! I was really surprised how much I loved this car, you''ll have a brilliant time no doubt!
Great review, standard RS6s come with Air and upgraded is DRC (dynamic ride control) which my Nardo C7.5 has. I love my RS6 and it’s a dream car. They suffer with a few more little niggles but all motors do.
Great review, new to your channel, so I have a Porsche Panamera 4 Ehybrid Sport Turismo and its similar running costs but lower, for example servicing is every 2years or 20,000 miles, sits on 21" wheels, is a big car, and on average returns close to 30mpg! Expenses are mainly tyres (had a puncture recently and was £340 for a Porsche recommended conti sport 5) . Love the car and I could Stage 1 it to give better efficiency but more power and torque similar to the RS6 too! And if you want to review Penelope, let me know!
Thank you so much for your kind words and even kinder offer! I'd absolutely love to review it! Funnily enough it was the first Panamera variant that made me sit up and go oooooooo I'd love one of those! If you could email me at petrolpoodle@gmail.com I'd love to sort out a review!
Whenever I see a gorgeous fast estate car like this I just wanna bin the massive rims and rubber band tyres and put a chunky wheel & tyre combo on instead. They always look one pothole or curb away from complete destruction. Cars beautiful though, you can feel the torque through the screen.
Agree 100%, My mk1 TT interior looks fantastic still, such a design classic and although Jimmy isn't a big fan of 996/986 interiors, I think they look perfect.
Very true, I think BMW for a long time weren't adventurous enough with most of their interiors feeling near identical for sooo many years. But ultimately always following aesthetically pleasing design!
@@petrolpoodle you can test drive my rs4 b8 avant . Previous cars include evo V1 TME, m3 csl, m5 f10 and 991.2 gts. Loving the high revving v8 at the moment (had it for a year although 3 year anniversary is normally my benchmark of whether I really love a car or end up selling - only car I kept so far past 3 year mark was my CSL which I kept for c10yrs 😊
@@haricsl Oh my word what a dream stable of cars you've owned over the years! That's amazing and I would be honoured to take you up on that kind offer! Could you please email me at petrolpoodle@gmail.com? I'll be able to find it easier and get it all organised :)
@ nope! There’s definitely a weird lag but probably it’s more of a throttle lag I should’ve said. Even the new RS6 performance has the lag. Check out the reviews.
Would likely have been the time taken for the gearbox to kick down and not turbo lag. These twin turbos can kick in hard low down, especially if tuned.
Another thorough, balanced, real-world review from Jimmy. He deserves a far, far bigger audience.
Thank you so much, Andy! Very kind words!
This channel is so underrated
Massive thank you 😊

Thanks Matthew. It's such a cool car, a real icon of our generation. Make sure you stay in touch, let us know what comes next. Ben

@petrolpoodle I'd actually be up for that!
Amazing as always. Would love to see a V10
Noted!
Excellent review, I have to agree with your comments about the 911, you can't beat them! 🤣

Excellent, comprehensive review.

Really great overview of a awesome car. Some really good detailed info, like the wheels etc that I haven't come across in other videos.

Audi and bmw interiors tend to age well because they keep things simple

Next review needs to be a Evo 9 or Golf R32.
Hi, Thanks for your comment. Many of the cars reviewed have been offered to PP from kind viewers. Those two would certainly be fun ones.
You should let PP drive yours!
Be nice if you could get your hands on a RS4 and see what you think about that compared to this.
Is that the American version? I'm guessing you mean an RS4. Yes, would love to see that too!
