With my 2016 performance model, I can confirm I get the same 26mpg average, 20mpg around town and 34 on a run. Its been a brilliant, practical yet fun car and very reliable, I have run up big miles at well over 100,000 miles with out any issues.

Great video. Recently purchased a 2011 c7 3.0tsfi on a whim as we desperately needed a bigger car for our 3 children (all in baby seats) and the dog. I’m loving it and actively on the hunt for a RS6 C7 and your video has proved very useful. Thank you.

Massive place in the boot, massive Power and what I most enjoy, difference between Power and class..
You can just drive long distance with under 9 litres /100km and with the Switch to dynamic can transform into a rocket.

I used to drive all kind of Audi RS for years, really enjoyed that "one car does it all mantra", to me VS Amg or BMW M RS have the best all around comprise, but.... in the end you spend most of your time driving just as fast as the dude in the Audi A6 in front of you except you are burning way more cash than he does.... When it comes to the few opportunities the kids are not in the car and where the road/the trafic allows you to have fun, well the cars are awesome as long as you are driving them at "80%" it really shines when you do "spirited crusing", if you are looking for true sport you will be disapointed IMO. Nowadays I went for a 2 cars garage a family Van for commute and duites, and a 911 for week-ends and special occasions. To be honnest I don't miss an Audi RS at all

Hi mate, I own a 2017 C7 RS6, tax is merely £180 so that is even more of a steal!
Had it for a month so far and live near Central London. Fuel economy wise, probably around 12mpg in town, and I can get 33mpg on a run but that happens whilst driving it like a granny. Great vid!

Agree with everything you've said, obviously biased as I've got a C7.5 with near 18k worth of mods fitted by the previous owners! They are exceptional, one thing I do definitely prefer though is the air suspension. Even though it's bright sepang blue and growls and barks in asbo mode it attracts a lot more positive attention than I've experienced over the years with BMW M cars and my more recent B8 S4. Gone are the traffic light events where anyone with a mildly fast car (usually driven by a 30 something) saw my car as an instant threat to their manhood, turning them into captain caveman mode. Even with over 700hp on tap it is such a chilled car to drive, can barely hear the engine when cruising along in comfort mode. Already had it shown at one show, with another 2 coming up in the next month. And yes, 30mpg is definitely achievable in these things, although it would be a long motorway journey with cruise control on. I get around 23-25mpg with the mixed driving I do. Costs? Both HPFP's went immediately after getting the car a couple of months ago. 900 quid, including the oil change. Even if they hadn't went I'd have done them anyway as they are a notorious fail on these. Since then it's behaved impeccably, and with the previous owner wisely fitting AP racing 2 piece brakes, when it comes to swapping them out I only need to buy the pads, outer rotors and bobbin kit. Easily 500quid saved compared with OEM. Easily the best car I've owned to date, in the future nothing will likely come close.

Hi ben massive fan of the audi rs6 but like you the running costs and fuel bills would put me off as i do a substantial amount of mileage per year ,
However i did find a compromise, same space for an awful less amount of money. I bought the 2018 skoda superb 2.0 190 tdi dsg sel executive .
Now on looks and power the rs has it but for everything else the skoda has it beat . Top speed still 147mph ,
Mpg top of 60 miles per gallon. Its got the exact interior space and a lot of the interior buttons and controls are taken from the audi a6 .now is it a dad car well yes if purchased in sportline trim and the 280bhp and 4motion it grips pretty well too and with the right modifications 580 bhp is achievable. A fraction of the cost and cheaper to tax and insure .whats not to love .if you can forget the badge snobbery its a real winner.

My dad car is a 2018 C43 AMG. I could have gone for the C63 however the C43 pertains to being a much more 'dailyable' car. With a stage 1 remap it produces the same power as the C63 (480hp) combined with the mountain-goat-like grip offered by the 4matic system is a winner in my book. Don't get me wrong, it's not the quattro system, nor is it an RS6... What do you mean? I'm not jealous 😂

One major positive with the B8.5 is the near enough instant power (due to the supercharger) whereas I found the B9 to bit too laggy, which got me in interesting situations on roundabouts…😂

I have a 65 plate BMW 335d F31 with Stage 1, I've had it for 5 years and it's been a fantastic car. I've been thinking about the RS6 C7 for a while now, I love it, but I'm not sure it's worth the extra 12+ grand over the 335

The C7 RS6 is the best pound for pound car in the world in my opinion. The V10 is awesome, but isn’t as quick neither is it as nice inside.

Well if you count the Urus as a proper lambo then the RS6 is just that… make the exhaust a little more fruity and you have an understated lambo estate 🤷‍♂️

I don't like the pops from the exhaust, a V8 should be a smooth engine not a misfireing one.

      It is smooth.
Only when you pop it in sport and the valves open.
And even then you have to down shift to get the pops
