      Just remember for all of these online psychos that their opinions aren't held by most people you will meet in any IRL social situation and their attitudes are repellent to basically everyone with a life. People who are fatphobic IRL generally have other things to care about in their lives besides whether the 2/3rds of the US population that is overweight are suffering from moral degeneracy. It takes a real husk of a person to spend every day talking about things they truly hate while spewing abuse at people they don't know. Who do you think is sticking around people like that? My guess is basically no one, because healthy people don't want to feel angry/upset/agitated all the time.

      there is not a single healthy person that "has homeostasis as being overweight"
      that is unealthy state for anyone
      however, what people forget to take into account is other nuances to the topic that prevent people from achieving healthy BMI, regular people arent free to just eat and exercies like these prettyboys in this video, they have jobs, commitments, problems that they have to deal with, and often times its not feasible to be fit while balancing everything
      but that doesnt make their current state "healthy", it just justifies it, but no, there is not a single person who is normally overweight, unless having some health complicaitons, which, while do exist, arent as common as people who defend obesity claim to be

    I'm in good shape, but before I was, shame was always the thing that kept me from the gym rather than got me there. Also, there's so much misinfo on exercise & dieting. Like, walking a mile burns the same calories as running one. Protein & carb balance is so important, and getting enough protein& fiber makes you feel satiated better than things like pasta. And it's better to replace high calorie foods with tasty but less unhealthy foods than to try and eat only unappetizing & unfulfilling super healthy food. Lifting more weights is meaningless if you injure yourself, so worry about your mobility more than benching more or w/e.

    I find it pretty messed up that people focus on weight and size when it comes to health instead of encouraging people simply to add healthy foods to their diet, moderate the junk food, and get physical activity in for the sake of heart and muscle health. We have all the studies in the world showing that losing and keeping off a decent amount of weight is unfeasible for the *vast* majority of people (like >95%, our bodies have not evolved to shed pounds like that) and still fixate on poundage instead of encouraging healthy habits for healthy habits' sake.

    Because even if every single person on this planet went to the gym and exercised, there would still be fat people. Why? Because there are more aspects about the human body that influences weight other than "Not eating as much." and to simplify it down to just that means you have no idea what you are talking about. These aren't excuses. These are uncontrollable things that can happen in life and is the result of many factors. Not just one controllable thing.

    • @Solznmid
      @Solznmid 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think we shouldn’t weaponize the whole “it’s simple” argument against overweight individuals. On one hand it is very simple, it’s a matter of calories in vs Calories out. BUT that doesn’t mean it’s easy. It takes an incredible amount of discipline for someone who doesn’t have a fast metabolism to get down to 15% body fat or lower (the range where abs are showing). People will go to gym and work very hard, and then not have the discipline to eat in a calorie deficit because it’s hard. Almost everyone has the ability to be fit, but it’s just much harder for some than others. Those people will have to make sacrifices that other people don’t, which most aren’t willing to make.

    :( it's okay to eat fatty/high calorie foods from time to time. calories are energy, calories aren't the enemy, just make sure your diet is balanced with lots of fruits, veggies, grains, seeds, nuts, legumes, etc 🫶🏼❤️

Whereas for women, girls, and LGBTQ+ folks EDs are usually more common and well documented, either professionally or in their immediate communities.
