The most wonderful and inspirational podcasts of all; I especially loved Noah’s passion, honesty and earnest share of both literary and human influence. Anxious for part two! Thank you to both of you.

I SO enjoyed this and look forward to part 2! Really brought me back thinking about my years in the late 80s-early 90s in art school, taking regular trips into Boston. I must admit, at first I was thinking “hmm, who’s this kid?” 😂 Turns out, he’s older than me! …so in part 3, Noah describes the story of going on an adventure and finding the fountain of youth and sharing its location with your viewers ❤✨😆

I came across this quote from sculptor Henry Moore: ' The secret of life is to have a task, something you devote your entire life to, something you bring everything to, every minute of the day, for the rest of your life. And the most important thing is, it must be something you cannot possibly do'. I love this, it just about sums up what I am attempting. I am going to put it up on the wall of my upcoming exhibition 'Moving on ...' , paintings inspired by music&musicians at a Music Festival next week. Definitely impossible to do, still trying 35 years on!

Hey Nick, if you link to books, could you maybe link to small independent booksellers instead of Amazon? That would really help a lot of booksellers. Jeff doesn't need the money!

Altogether, very interesting. Quite some experiences the two of you have shared. Soho, for one. Loved Rilke's letter. Its what I've been doing...to hear it spelt out like this has been affirming. Thank you.

I am fascinated by the artwork used at the the title for this episode. Could you please tell me who the artist is and if possible the title of the painting. Many thanks.

Your link to the wabi sabi book goes to another book about wabi sabi, not the one Noah is showing.

That was more than fun and wonderful!!!! Stippling!!!! I loved rapido-graphs too!!!! I think all artists wish we'd developed confidence sooner, but it's nothing we can be taught, really. LOVED hearing your stories. I was in art school the same time frame, but the thought of moving to NYC from Iowa after that was not even on the table. Ikebanna is based on wabi sabi too I think. Can't wait for Nick and Noah 2.0!!!!
