- Today we are welding a tailgate BBQ grill build and we are giving it away once we reach 200k subscribers! This is part one of two. That came out nice. I'd love to see more tool builds, things like jack stands, rollout wheels, positioners, etc that we can build ourselves to improve our shops
Jack stands would be great.
A custom welding bed build would be cool to watch! Maybe a few part series of it and have the students get in on the build and get comfortable fabricating.
Instead of tig welding can I stick weld.
Like the parts that he tig welded, can I just sick weld them

Jeez, that's the thickest I've ever seen. I can imagine it holds heat in really well.
Great job and thanks for the video, I’m excited for part two seeing how you guys attach it to the trailer hitch mount. I think another fun build would be a pipe liner grill with another smaller one attached to the side of it for offset smoking, but have it small enough to also mount onto a trailer hitch and throw in the back of a pickup bed.

I really liked your air vent design. I never thought of doing it that way. Quite clever. I was thinking about making a reese hitch bbq grill out of a small propane tank for when I go out of town on remote jobs.
Came out awesome! First project I ever welded was a hitch pit for me and some buddies to use for camping. Funny thing about it was you can see at my welds improved as I welded different parts of the pit. I’d love to see some kind of a small aluminum boat!
Excellent job! I worked pipelines for thirty five years. I've been disabled for fifteen and wish I could do it today. I miss it!

Incredible attention to detail! ALL joints prepped. It’s so tempting to just weld over mill scale. This video should be in a class about taking the time to do it right

Thats doubke the work I usually do whwn I build mines. I start from the stand and work from there. But each pwrson works differently and respect that. I like the build pit looks smoking cool. Well done.

That is a grear bbq pit...and the side sliding grill 👍👍....may I suggest to put a pin or something to prevent the grill from sliding out when traveling those dirt roads....and some 2 inch rib eyes...
Awesome bbq pit. I’d love to see a truck bed tool box build out of aluminum. My box is lifted out of my truck all the time (I work on offshore boats, when I show up to a job the box is usually loaded onto the vessel). My job box looks like it will crumble every time. I want to build one, not to many videos on here though of such a job

She's a beauty! In the interest of current events, I would like to see some kind of greenhouse (which involves welding somehow) and/or garden planting beds (maybe roll-around?) We all need to start growing some of our own food!

Good looking grill, just need to move the vent to the opposite end to get some airflow. I would love to see you guys make a couple of wood stoves. One from pipe (functional but not the prettiest) and one from plate that could be used as a centerpiece in a great room or something.

That's a good looking BBQ pit. How about a welding and a clamp table with wheels with adjustable leveling legs for uneven surfaces.
GREAT hitch bbq pit!!! would like to see a build of some custom made argon hose wheels (stainless instrumentation tubbing) for either single hand welders out in the field or for some on a rig truck

Some useful advice to you up coming welders. Learn how to fabricate as well the biggest regret I made was disregarding how to fabricate. But it's never to late to learn.
