I love this place! A shed could be built for my motorcycles and I can imagine living out my life here. Of all the houses I've seen at any price in Portugal, this one is the "coolest" yet. The people did a wonderful job restoring the place and making it into quite a retreat for body and soul. The "plunging pool" is just what the Doctor ordered for those hot, dry days. Thanks Destino Portugal, for all that you do for us in the way of showing these properties. Cheers from Connecticut!
How could you not LOVE this place. It is perfect for 2 and maybe young children. It is a Bohemian paradise. The small house was carefully and thoughtfully done. Back to nature retreat. Those owners did it up right. I think it is worth more.
That is a beautiful property. Just my speed. I love the tiny house. The bath is lovely. The land is not not too big, 1/4 of an acre. Perfect for a veg garden and a few fruit trees. What's not to like. 🙂👍👍🌷🌻🇨🇦
Well Nick you’ve certainly pulled a different one out of the box this time at first I was wondering if I’d seen this place on TH-cam vlogging before as I follow a few people who live similar to this this but no this is a new one on me. This is a great place fora younger couple who wish to go off grid but don’t want the work converted a building into habitable status.
Thats more like it ! in its own land and detached with privacy ! what a little gem of place . Love the house interior . more of these more remote properties if you have them (and larger if possible ) . Old warehouses, Garages or farms especially . I think like me a lot of people want to move to Portugal to live but also continue their business's, so more rural detached places are key to that. Thanks for the tour Nick .
The seller has done a really nice job making the stone house contemporary and very cozy and efficient. It's an adorable tiny casa. The plot is nicely appointed with its well, water tank, cleared terraces, added fruit trees, and the little support structures and varied-use mini spaces. To be walking distance to main part of the village as well as a (little trafficked) roadway is a definite plus. Maybe a tiny bit pricey, but it's really cute. Fernando was looking cute, too. 😊 He didn't say what full-on towns are nearby. And maybe it's be helpful? to add info re fire risk to the area? That'd be useful I think to potential buyers to know? I've enjoyed the selection of properties you've featured in recent weeks. There have been so many attractive, nicely finished, move-in-ready, mold and cobweb free, immaculately tidy properties that I'm much encouraged there is more available in a variety! of price ranges than ruins or decrepit structures. Even your most recent featured ruin was bright and sunny and beaming with potential. Your partner agents have done very well to bring these recent properties forward. Whenever I am blessed to relo to Portugal, I doubt I'll have energy left to take on a reno/rebuild project. I'm hoping to settle, get the lay of area, and begin touring the country, and pop in on pals along the way. Thanks so much, Nick, Sarah, Fofi, Lola, and your team of excellent estate agents.
Hi Nick! Did you notice that the name of the village is written incorrectly in the title? :) It should read: 'Vila Facaia'. You left out the letter 'a'. Cheers!
This cottage and property takes me way back to my youth as a long haired teen living in a log cabin in the mountains of British Columbia. It is a lovely place that could be upgraded easy enough if you wish for the 'amenities'. Great presentation guys.
Peeing outdoors--the way God intended! LOL At our age though, we might need an indoor chamber pot and for sure, I'd need to get a water heater for a shower. Love this place!
Nice plot of land and fruits trees. The little stone house is o.k except for the bedroom as I think it would get too hot in summer under the roof. The outside bathroom is another issue especially if you have to go at night. I guess you would have to invest some $$ to do it up properly with mains power and water.
Oh I love that cute and quirky place. It's like living in a camper van but having your own garden. I did notice some dead trees in the background. Have there been a wood fire around the house? Are there any rivers nearby where you can take a swim in the hot summer?
Nick and Fernando has done an excellent presentation on the beautiful property. I was wondering if Nick does consultation work on after you buy a property how to get help with electricity, water, connections?? Thanks for a wonderful video.
Lovely property, the only thing I didn´t like at all was the bathroom. Needs to be added to the house so not having to walk outside for a wee at night,😊
It is a cute tiny house but I find the price crazy expensive- considering the market in Portugal/Spain/France. Also, wouldn't want to be near a major road like that- quiet now but it may not be in the future.
Hello, I watched this movie several times and I see that this location would suit me very well. I have a question: how much are the annual property fees, i.e. tax? Is it possible to rent this property?
Hello Adam, unfortunately this property is under offer now. As for taxes they would be incredibly low, I couldn't tell you precisely but in comparison to say UK taxes it wouldn't even register! It's difficult to rent here but your best bet is to send Fernando an email at geral@esferareal.com and he may be able to help.
@@destino2portugal Thank you very much for the quick answer and nice contact. I currently live in Poland and have been looking for something like your offer for several months. I watched all your videos and the one I'm asking about best fits my conditions. My dream is to live in a country where there is no need to heat rooms for half the year. I'm retired but I still remain active, I ride a bike a lot (5,000 km a year), I ski, I kayak, and until recently I rode a motorcycle. Thank you very much for the information . Regards, Adam
Thank you very much for your answer and information. Due to the fact that this property has been on sale for a long time, is it possible to rent it for a few months in order to check the housing and climatic conditions. I am interested in the period from October to April. During this time, I can take care of the entire neighborhood, house and nature. Regards, Adam
Would have a been such a great property if not for that road in the end of the garden. And the garden is actually much lower than the road and all the exhaust fumes from the traffic will fall accumulate there. Yeah, the road is not too busy but it accumulates. Also, it looks like the garden and the house would be overlooked from the traffic on the road, because it effectively runs over the garden's border. Otherwise a charming off-the-grid place.
Hi what's the nearest international airport for this area please thanks. Maybe this house won't be available too long. But it's for any other possible future properties. Plus what's the property tax in that area, so 55,000 + tax. What is the annual property / council tax. Thanks
lovely property... funny that Portuguese seems to say "more or less" instead of "about" when they do distances and such... "more or less 150 meters" instead of "about 150 meters"

Yet again the closing music matches the calm and tranquility of the property…

Very cute home for someone young. I’m to old to be climbing ladder to the loft. Nor would I be attracted to the outdoor toilet.

Probably the 2017 fire where many people died. A dark stain in our history
Very sweet. I would install a shower, have running water, and install a propane stove and oven. How is the wifi in the area?
This property would be the right size for me. Lovely!

i care about the environment too but i need a regular shower and restroom
Beautiful scenery but too many trees for fire safety
That would also be my concern yes.
it looks like they carry water from well to house? they have 3 2-gallon dispensing stations.
Why are they selling? After getting it to this level, they are tired I guess

I guess this is near Figueiró dos Vinhos. Under Coimbra. They live in that area, if i'm not mistaken.
What happened to Paula?
lovely property...
funny that Portuguese seems to say "more or less" instead of "about" when they do distances and such... "more or less 150 meters" instead of "about 150 meters"
It is a literal translation. In portuguese "mais ou menos" = more or less is easier to say than "aproximadamente" = around

how many acres of land included?
