Loved the video like usual. Especially liked to see y’all enjoying lunch. Life there looks more like the simple life which I remember from childhood. Truly, that’s living!
Cebola grande! ❤ ..in Spanish es cebolla. Learning Spanish is really going to help me learning Portuguese. I figure by next summer I can start more on Portuguese. 🎉 ❤ 😉
You are an oasis to our minds. Like André I like to eat everithing from trees, herbs... JOSEPH, I would like you comment how people water vegetable patches as I do not see any hoses across the soil. The water is there but how do you bring it to the soil? Vegies need irrigation more than trees more so in sommer when it is so hot in central Portugal. Would you please be so kind? Thank you for such a peaceful lunch. No war, no war, never ever. My salutation You, me, all the universe. Yiur kids, our kids, all the kids in the universe need peace, love, good and healthy food and clean water. Till next wekk my good friends.❤
Hello!! Thanks for the beautiful comment. Normally via a bucket from the well, then carrying it to the veg patch, the old way 😁 My farm has pump from the borehole which feeds various taps around the farm, piped underground. A lot of the farms would dig a channel leading to the veg patches / trees and pour water directly into the channel
Are you a teacher, Peter? 😂 ❤ I've now learned more than I ever knew about our spice paprika. ❤ Dried ground red peppers, different variety pepper, different flavor from sweet to 100% savory. I had discovered Hungarian sweet paprika and more recently smoked paprika (it doesn't even have where it came from as Walmart says that we can trust them, 🤥) and I love them all. I love onions and peppers, 💯 but as I've aged I can't really handle the heat❣️😊 Thanks for sparking my interest, and thanks for your comments. 🎉
Great video, Joseph! Does this farm have a habitation license? How far is it to mains electricity and mains water? Does the location have 4G or 5G connectivity? Is there any history of forest fires in the nearby area (3-5 km)?
Hello, electricity 200m we point the nearest posts out on the film, water would be an unnecessary cost due to the borehole. Habitation would need to be applied for, currently has apoia Agricola, the neighbours applied and have their construction allowed so as an educated guess this property would also be allowed, needs confirming with an architect first
Close to the south face of a mountain will be a sun trap so will be warmer by about 5°c, north face of a mountain will have better water holding abilities generally and appear greener in the summer 😁
The rules in Portugal are different from region to region, sometimes they allow to build and got license to live on plots with more than 5000m2 . To be sure check with the local "camara" before buy anything and with the help of a lawyer, Portuguese laws got many changes in the last year, to allow and easy house construction.
@@Farmerforfunwe have them quite ready in the grocery markets here in Southern California. I love them! Sort of like a cross between an orange and a tangerine? Delish!
Why can't you just show us the property, rather than your man eating everything. I'm looking for a property with a decent amount of land in your area with a building with habitation. Have you got anything please.
Some people like to see what grows on the land, some don’t, that’s fine. I suggest skipping past that part of you don’t want to see it, sorry but we try to appeal to the majority of people who come here, people that want to farm, want to learn, want to see what the land produces. I understand not everyone does, but I won’t stop showing it, sorry again 💕
What a lovely piece of property, wow! The food looked so good, the bee hives are amazing, and all of you look so nice too! Thank you very much!
Andres knowledge never ceases to amaze me. I'd definitely want to hire him for advice.
Thanks for yet another great video. 👍
He is an amazing chap!

Another great film. Thanks. So could you realistically renovate building to live in..... Either permanent or occasional basis? Thanks
Absolutely! Would need a lot of work, but certainly doable!
hello I am glad to see u both..i hope ur homes and land was saved from the fire...blessings to u all.
Learned something about peppers (we call them paprika) . So you have male and female ones.
Thank you Peter!

I was a bit curious about how much that meal for 4 cost. To get an idea about the cost of living.
Roughly 9 euros a head
Beautiful, beautiful

Have a question after a minute in . If any whats the pro’s and con’s of living on the south side or north side of the mountain?.

nice piece of land
is it possible to build on it, or are the rules difficult in portugal?

is it true that in Portugal one must use the fork and knive even to eat french fries...eating food with your hands are a no no..?
Tangelo? bigger than a tangerine, smaller than an orange - kind of a hybrid
give me please how achre is that land
is all of portugal this dry?
Mostly all the Iberian peninsula and Mediterranean get dry in the summer
tentaculos de pota?

Nice video, thanks. Those Cork Trees 🌳 that you pointed to at the beginning of video, are they part of the property?
Hi Joseph, how many acres of land is this little farm?
6000 sq meters so 1.48 acres.
1,5 acres, my friend is 6000m2, try google next time!

Est il possible de rénover et habiter la maison ? Combien de m2 fait la maison ?

Too much of chemtrail in the sky, fruit trees are not good to grow in such condition.
6000m2, 1.5acres or close to?
