Back in 2021 when i decided to get myself a bike i had a budget if 2 lakhs (on road ). I was planning to stretch it by 30k and get the duke 200, but then made up my mind and bought the rtr 200 4v for 1.75L. That was a good move, finished off the loan in a year, the bike doesent demand any extra care , im hvin fun 😀. Used up the left over 25k out of my 2L budget on a good helmet, jacket, gloves......whch aftr a year and half helped me survive a crash without a scratch.
The last line was gold 👍 Reminded me of an incident at a footwear showroom where the sales executive was explaining how to take care of their premium "paper leather" shoes. After listening for a few minutes a friend said that seems like I will have to wear it on my head.
I could not agree with this more! Fell into the trappings of an aspirational purchase when it came to a car, overstretched, and then felt every bump on the road and every tiny scratch on the body. And, now when I'm buying a bike, I really don't want to worry about it, I want to ride, I want to live a bit of my life through it. And, this perspective just re-enforces that belief. Thank you so much for your words, Kartikeya!
I think society influenced to buy a car and later regret it. What ever you buy plan maintence cost before buy. I know someone who bought car without their parking lot, initially manage to get space from neighborhood now they neighbor own one, they force to park their car at month rent of 1500
Totally agree with your point. Since 2017, my dad had this dream of geting a Jeep compass. It used to cost about 60% of his annual income during its initial launch. Due to different financial commitments he waited a little longer before making the purchase. Then came covid and he lost his previous job, he realised that there wasnt much of a time left to wait and just after he got his new job and covid cases got reduced by the end of 2021, he decided to make his dream purchase even though the car costed way more than before. We took the delivery of our Compass model S on January 2022 and it was the best day of our lives. But it wasnt all good. Previously we used own a 2009 model Suzuki Ritz, we still have it and it’s in perfect condition. It was a hell lot of fun car to drive, and my dad used to rock it while driving. In the initial stages after buying the car, it always looked like he was trying to protect the car instead of enjoying driving it. He used to go at a slower pace than he is used to and became a little more careful. It was a heartbreaking day when the car had its first minor accident, when a scooter guy came and hit on the rear bumper of our parked car, it was just returning home after having ceramic coating. It’s been over an year since the purchase and thankfully the car is still in its showroom condition. Although we love the car and it was in all sense a dream come true for my dad and a big motivation for me, there’s always a sense of extra care and fear of damage to the vehicle. With time these fear does come down and I realise that I feared more than my dad. He keeps on saying, he bought the car to protect us on the road. But still, before making any such decision, I would recommend you to think twice and interospect about how much risk you are ready to take and what’s the purpose for the purchase.
What a great comment! Thank you for sharing your perspective. It's true -- how much we worry and how it affects what we purchase and use are so personal!
At a time when everyone is focused on spending more and showing off more. Thanks Shumi, Kartikeya and @MotorInc for being different. It’s important to go through the journey of learning how to love your machine irrespective of how cheap or costly it is. While also being practical and not going into debt
We bought the petrol 2018 Hyundai Tucson after we permanently settled in Kerala. We thought it will be our only car and we had compass, tucson, creta, karoq, tiguan etc. We bought the tucson thinking that it will be our only car. Just to protect our car, we built a seperate garage which allows 2 cars to park. This was because of the size of the vehicle, and it was damn hard for parking in small towns and very impractical for daily town commutes and my father would checking the car often after we parked the car road side. So we bought a year back 2018 santro for daily use. But after a year, it had clutch issues and power was so poor. So we upgraded to i10 nios. Now we are planning to sell the tucson for an electric car because we almost spend 10-12k rupees per month for petrol only. And we will sell the i10 after my graduation.
A couple of years ago, I bought a pre-owned CBR 250R. It was 10 years old and needed some care , but the engine was immaculate and for less than 40K it was a steal. Since then, I've had immense fun on it, from weekend rides to trips. And I've spent more on riding gear than what I bought it for. Now that I can, I am ready to buy a more expensive motorcycle straight from the showroom floor.
Damn, I never thought things through this perspective. Such a simple point, yet so effective. Most of us, always stretch our financial limits to own that dream machine and later on baby it so that we can sell it for a better price whenever that happens. Instead, what Mr K said makes so much sense. Kudos to the team in bringing up such meaningful and thought provoking topics.
Bold but necessary video every Indian needs at this point of time. Again @motorinc has done it the right way instead of just boasting about what the vehicle offer. Today its become a trend to buy car for its features than remembering that its a vehicle that moves from PointA to PointB. Buy only what you need and what you can afford. Very sensible & true advice an auto enthusiast can give. Kudos to the @motorinc team and hatsoff for your work again.
I so wanted to apply for a vehicle loan and get my dream bike for my birthday this year.... I'm very glad you guys uploaded this video. Definitely not ready to get into a commitment like a bike for now. Gonna hustle more and wait a bit longer. Slowly but surely.
So cool that they didn't edit the part where there was a small confusion when Karti was explaining the 20-10-4 rule... This TH-cam channel is so legit... We are here for such original, legit, true content...
The line, "You should own the vehicle not you your vehicle owns you" completely blew my mind. I'm a big yamaha fan and was planning to get MT15 but after the Speed 400 buzz in the market I was more attracted to it despite knowing it's milage nd maintanence. Surely I'm gonna get the MT-15 as i currently own a R15 V2 from 2017 which still runs very smooth without a engine problem since then. Kudos to team MotorInc 💙
Bang on, this is such an eye opener piece of advice. With noises all around to either constantly upgrade or be lost, this video is such a pearl of wisdom. Really wanted to upgrade my current car just within 4 years of ownership, but now believe it's time to introspect before making any impulsive decisions.
Very interesting insight! I kind of made myself accept that vehicles are prone to get damaged here and there, especially due to the traffic sense (or the lack of it) in India. I ended up buying a secondhand Corolla Altis for 1/10th of it’s showroom price and had some of the best experiences through it! Acceptance is the key. 😄
You buddy have grown up …this shows that you are genuinely interested in sharing wisdom and not just grab likes..stretching budget is an easy pitfall for almost all car buyers…thanks for sharing…
this is what I followed with my recent purchase: went for loan (67% of onroad amount); didnt go beyond my CTC amount no matter what; (my reasoning: with 30% of average annual saving I should be able to virtually recoup the onroad amount in ~4years) was aspiring AT (preferably TC) but not a deal breaker since I enjoy MT; if price delta is not much then prefer top model
Lot of wisdom packed in small video. Hats off to Motorinc for similar great content on your channel. I went against the market trend of show-baazi and bought Tata Tigor petrol. Literally No one buys this car. But it has spot on handling, steering, great suspension. Cabin comfort is great. Big boot that satisfied my touring requirements. Engine is not spunky and is not that refined. But the car is 4* safety rated. It is also very compact so I feel no stress when driving through tight spots, city traffic etc. With BH registration it costed me just ₹8L. Which is much less than 3 times my annual earnings. I don't worry too much on mileage as I know I haven't spent crazy amount upfront anyways. And I only took 40% of cost as loan, that too to save some liquidity. I may look small, insignificant in front of other 95% financed hulking "SUVs". But I know I have made the most practical decision both requirement wise and money wise. In a way I am standing out in the crowd now and I like it 😅
It's hard to find videos of a well-articulated perspective regarding vehicles (pretty much any other topic for that matter). Really appreciate the thought process that you guys put into before starting an idea for a video. I have been wanting to buy an RE with a budget of 3L (kept aside 7L in total to make this 3L purchase, to counteract my purchase through same amount in savings). But I still want to wait and accumulate another 2-3 L before making the purchase. Because it's only when we start using a vehicle that we truly get an understanding of what we need as accessories to enjoy the ride and what we don't need. I don't want to be that guy that makes hasty decisions out of love just for the sake of it. I wanna savor every moment I spend with the bike and I don't want unplanned/unexpected expenses/dents for the vehicle to ruin my experience. Thank you once again for making such videos. More people will be able to make an informed decision before spending huge amounts on these things.
I never imagined to be paying 20k per year for zero dep insurance renewal from the dealership. Also spending around 35k for extended warranty for 4 years was not something I was expecting above the cost of the final price of the car. I've also spent more than 1 lakh in petrol over the last year and a half. So yeah, if I had maxed out my budget while purchasing, I would have been unable to buy all this and gotten stuck now. I am also expecting to spend between 25-40k on tyres within the coming year, so that's another extra thing to plan.
You are right. There was a phase when my car controlled my happiness. Was always thinking about someone ruining the car paint, what if it gets a dent etc. Spent a lot on keeping it in showroom like condition and purchasing additional accessories. And the irony is I didn't go for many trips. Got transferred to another location as part of job role. Sold the car. I'm much more peaceful now. ✌️
Thank you for making me do maths in the morning. Head is spinning. Now I am going to spend the rest of my day wondering about which motorcycle / car I can buy today with the 20 - 10 - 4 rule !! even though I dont intend to buy one. Always appreciate such informative videos !
Very well articulated. Since these are aspirational purchases, sometimes we lose the sense of value and end up burdening ourselves. It is hard but who can master their minds they are the winners here. Other than the income and emi ratios, if you have equal amount of savings of what you are buying then it is much easier to deal with with great levels of confidence. For example, buying a 10l car then you should have at least 10l savings in your account at least.
This is one of the most wise videos, i have come by, in terms of money and possessing automobiles. The views staged in the video i have always held within me, but today seeing this video they got validation!❤🎉. Sincerely Thankyou to make such a wonderful video... All the best!!🌷
I totally agree with this and realised this recently personally. I had 2 issues back to back one with my car and another with my bike. I just straight went to the service centre and fixed these issues and was so relieved and could use these machines without a fuss. Earlier i used to worry a lot about these things and would end spending unwillingly. You should always get what you can afford and maintain. It's not just about one time buying, you have to use them maintain them. I've seen People buy cars and cannot pay the fuel price to use them.
100% !! I did same in my first car purchase. Its a Base variant coz single engine option - many told just base variant go get a second hand top variant? To me its a great choice coz i can fit accessories according to my taste and NEED. Second hand wont suit me. Im like, get a new one enjoy atleast five years (not an enthusiast) But engine is very reliable and safe to an extent too I spent on accessories which i felt much much needed (i put seat cover after 5 months. Coz my mind said many times that 'yes u have to put seat cover ') I didnt run behind brand, i run behind reliable brand and superior after sales support I use the car fully by spending less Finally im super happy with my car, stress free ownership. Im not worrying about my car. It serves the purpose in a great way. Dont be emotional , do the math purchase it then fell in love with it
I hope all the prospective car or motorcycle buyers watch this video. We Indians stretch too thin to buy a bigger vehicle mostly for snob value. It’s amazing how some people think of impressing others with their purchase rather than to satisfy their own needs and happiness. Especially when it comes to vehicles don’t take a lot of loan to buy because vehicles are a depreciating asset, shop within your limits and enjoy your vehicle to the fullest. Thanks so much for this video. Highly appreciated 👍
Well said...... But I feel in some cases passion defies logic. We love travelling as a family and my kids are the happiest when they are travelling so for us a a vehicle purchase is a family decision. A thing with which we will be creating many memories in the coming years. During our current vehicle hunting we had finalized a budget after following all calculators. But during test drives we all loved something which was exceeding it by 25%. So when it came to finalizing it, both of sons told we dont need any toys for coming years lets have that car which we all loved. Also I feel if its a thing which all of family enjoys and agrees to, then we definitely will find the funds to maitain and enjoy it fully.
I wish there were ways to buy directly from the manufacturer, it would make this thought process easier to adapt, the reason being I'm fed up from the fact that there are showrooms and dealerships who try every trick in the book to manipulate , sometimes dupe customers. They add mental stress on customers to buy this variant , get this insurance, get that accessories or we wont deliver the vehicle on time
True. But one can associate with that sadness, that remorse you feel when your riding practical choice and you see the the dream vehicle on the road, looking even more sexy and appealing. Human brains are complicate.
This is so true. If i stretch a bit, i could buy a Merc, entry level though. But I decided to go with a used Toyota for those family needs and a used Octavia to satisfy my high speed cravings. That way, i am able to fully utilise the potential of both the cars without worrying about the maintenance costs. A few lakhs for Mechatronics ? No problem. Suspension change every 3 to 4 years ? No problem.... Such things do not put stress on my finances at all.
This is a greay advice! I had exact ssme thought process when I recently bought RE Meteor 350(after a 7-8 year pause of living without a motorycyle). I just missed the fun of riding a motorycycle. I bought it without any loan. I could have bought something which cost twice as much, but it would have brought in the exact same worries that you mentioned Kartikeya. Kudos to you guys. You guys are spreading the rare wisdom on this channel!!
Great message! We can apply this to any purchase decision. What we are going to do with that thing and the experiences we will get out of our purchase is more important than simply acquiring something.
We don’t know about that! For different spends different percentages apply. 😆 Buying a house just won’t be possible with this. Hehe. WhT were you looking to use it for?
Wow wow wow, we are at very much the same frequency. I also think the same. The joy you get when you do not have the stress and tension of owning something costly and that you make all use of it and are carefree is enormous. I have seen people spending on Harrier and XUVs and are afraid to do a particular stretch or hardly take it out twice or thrice in a month, what a waste of money. Rather buy a Brezza or Sonet and make full use of it and be tension free.
Recently bought XUV 3XO AX7 Diesel AMT. Firstly I planned to buy a car to a budget of 12 Lacs. But buy seeing wife’s enthusiasm towards Panoramic Sunroof, need of Automatic Car which she can drive and seeing happiness and smile on my 4 month old new born baby while seeing the skies in friend’s car sunroof. It made to buy me that one. Seeing them happy feels like getting extra 4-5k/month EMI worth it.❤❤❤
I wish the video was long , it just ended in a snap ,,, We can listen to this guy for all day long and the approach he provides is awesome,,.. thanks Karthikeya😊
I am thinking of purchasing a car. I am bit confused on whether to stretch or not. And I love to have fun with the car. This video reinforces by belief on not to stretch my budget.
Great video and all as always motorinc, the cherry on top was that even after having a couple of bikes and cars through different finance methods like emi’s and all… even Karthikeya fumbled initially while explaining emi… it is very confusing and too much for my brain I just save up and buy the vehicle… and also that “spend no more than half of your income “ on such things,is actually something that has been a family lineage for us lol..
Perhaps that suit joker guy did not know you owned a Busa too😂. My only problem with the leather suits is they can’t be used everywhere like mesh jackets. Costs a bomb on top of that. Great finance tips there Singhee. Regarding EMI, make sure you always have 3 months next worth of its EMI and fuel/service expenses in the bank. In this age of overspend that other channels advocate, you’re a gem. I’m putting off the purchase of a less run 2016 Multistrada 1200S just for this. I need that odd 2-3L to upgrade to good helmets and riding gear. Picking up a good preowned example, like Shumis ex1200S is also a good idea, but certainly not on loan. It’s with a TeamBHP member now and he loves that motorcycle to bits, it’s his only one now. It never even got listed, saw multiple test rides even. just sold a couple of weeks after he traded it in. let Shumi know about this guys!
@@motorinc just one query guys, does the Multi support a quickshifter? I want one if I’m owning one and this 2016 example that I’m considering doesn’t have it!
What a beautiful take on 'do you own your vehicle or does your vehicle own you'. Kudos to MotorInc for consistently creating crème de la crème of motoring content.
The best and greatest advice, it helped me in a second infact no words to appreciate, i were wandering and having so many doubts about planning my first bike, which bike should it be when and how to manage funds for riding gears and all, and see everything is sorted in this video. Thank you so much! Team motorinc...😊 One more request to you please make a video on riding gears about...as there are so many cities who have enthusiasts living there how will they approach riding gears buying them online or offline or some suggestions and whatever you want to put in that video but please make one on it
Wanted to change/upgrade my tb350 (2015) as it was having engine oil leak issue due to a damaged main drain bolt and also had been giving me tail bone pain. Sold it for ₹80k. Had to pay the same remaining amount ₹1.5L that i paid in 2015 to buy my tb for buying classic 350 or cb350 now. Instead i paid ₹20k extra and got by cbr250r as a third owner with 26k on the odo. In cc perspective it might be a downgrade, but on a overall experience perspective, it definitely is an upgrade for me. Just changing the engine oil once a year and brake pads once in 2 years. Such a low maintenance bike and a healthy sports tourer👍🏻🔥🔥
@motorinc, Hello! That's a very quick and crisp advice! When buying a used motorcycle, for example, Inty 650, is it better to opt for E20 compatible one, or the older one? Which one is easier to maintain and less complex? Which one is made tougher? Also, which one can be easily upgraded for performance? Any comments from you would help me a lot. Thank you!
Thank you and great work as always. Great to hear 'seasoned people' resonate my thoughts and validating them for myself. Of late i have had 'uncles' buying their 'last cars'. In essence a car for retirement years something which they will grow too old for eventually. Can u do a video on it. Thanks, love and appreciation for team.
Hullo Jubin! Thank you and glad to know this connects! And thanks for the recommendation- what would you want to be discussed in that? Suggestions for them? 😁
My dad offered me to buy a new bike on loan in my undergrad and I said it’s okay I can use his old Super Splendor. Best decision I ever took. Not much maintenance cost and 0 loan
Oh man, this video is amazing. Covered many relevant things and i could feel the joy in your eyes when you were describing the extra set of wheels 😂. Keep this up guys
You guys are 2 of my all time favorite reviewers. But somehow I am not enjoying the pace of the videos as much as I did when you were with your older channels. I am no pro, but here's some feedback. The good: - You two - Content quality - Length of the videos is just right What could be better: - Pace could be a bit more - Could be more engaging. The video is at the same slow pace throughout. It needs some high points, some x factor for more engagement. - Add vehicles to the videos, even if it's just a conversation video like this one. May be if it was explained with the bikes you mentioned, or any other ones you had, it would have become more relatable. May be.. I am no expert honestly, but just as a viewer, that's a few things I think will engage me more 🙂 Wish you the best.
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you love some part of it. But there’s no plan to increase the pace (1.5x works well for some though). There’s no plan to do things the old way either and we’re not after the X factor. We want you to think for yourself and that’s not only going to take time, it’s also not going to sit well with everyone. This is why videos like this one will likely _never_ have vehicles randomly thrown in to offer relief. Which we are okay with. We’d rather have a tiny thinking audience and than a large audience that expects us to think on their behalf. 😊
@@motorinc I get the point. I was watching a few other videos from your channel like Ronin vs Hunter and I still missed the music from those bikes. But I understand, this could be subjective. And the artist should have the freedom to showcase his art the way he wants to. The audience needs to decide whose art they connect with the most. I hope I develop a taste for such videos too, as I really look forward to content from two of my favorite reviewers 🙂 PS: I've been watching it on 2x 🙂
such an informative video in fact all your videos are. congratulations and thank you for taking pragmatism and practicality around motorcycles and cars to the masses.
I have question now. Lets say I'm a fresher who just started working. I have no family pressure or living expenses. Lets say I start a decent 4LPA package. Would you recommend me getting a motorcycle that is nearly 3L (V strom 250) or lower the budget according to 50% rule and get a gixxer 250SF/ Xpulse. I will still be getting it on emi's with the said 20/10/4 rule except I can pay more interest as I don't have any other financial responsibility. I wish someone mature could shed some light to this dilemma of mine. Appreciate it, thank you. Love this channel, made me learn so much more about motorcycle and cars, developing a passion for it.
Says the guy with the busa! 🤣 Jokes apart, I am in process of buying my first bike and really appreciate the video, helps me out a lot in the decision making! Great videos! I have watched the entire playlist in the past week😄
I have a bike in mind from a long time, I can buy it with around my 2 months salary. The only thing pulling me back is 1: Do I need it? 2: Will I use it enough to justify the price tag?
1. If you really needed it, you would already have it. 2. This is a question you can only answer. We'd suggest taking a test ride of the vehicle. Assuming that it doesn't put a dent on your finances and you really like the experience of riding it, there's only one answer here.
What an amazing perspective from Mr. Karthik.. definitely gonna use it as I plan to expand my garage.. Thanks a Tonn🎉 the wait is gonna be longer.. bt the fruit will definitely be that much more sweeter.
Thank you so much for this eye opener. I am planning to buy a car or at least my family thinks that I should buy one (it's high time, long overdue, etc.). Going by the logic given in this video, I can (or I should) spend only up to 6.5 Lakhs. Primary requirements are a journey from A2B, safety, high ground clearance and big boot. Reverse parking camera and infotainment system if available would be good. Not a fan of hatchbacks. So given these facts, what's the best option you can suggest? Fuel cost can be ignored. Running is 7-10k KMs in a year

Thank you D! Appreciate the encouragement! 🙏🏾
This was really needed. One of untouched angle of buying/owning car or motorcycle... Mostly people makes decision just on EMI!
Thanks Neo!
I so wanted to apply for a vehicle loan and get my dream bike for my birthday this year.... I'm very glad you guys uploaded this video. Definitely not ready to get into a commitment like a bike for now. Gonna hustle more and wait a bit longer. Slowly but surely.
Excellent! Hustle now. Enjoy better. 😀 we are with you!
So cool that they didn't edit the part where there was a small confusion when Karti was explaining the 20-10-4 rule... This TH-cam channel is so legit...
We are here for such original, legit, true content...
Haha glad to know that! And, thank you so much! 🙏🏾
The mt15 has very weird breaking and honk placement though is a very fun ride. Where are you from?
Bang on, this is such an eye opener piece of advice. With noises all around to either constantly upgrade or be lost, this video is such a pearl of wisdom. Really wanted to upgrade my current car just within 4 years of ownership, but now believe it's time to introspect before making any impulsive decisions.
Talk about timing!
This is more than just automobile advice. This is life advice. Thanks. Cheers!
Hullo BBB! Glad to know it hit the spot. Thanks!
We can see the halo from here! Bodhi power!
You buddy have grown up …this shows that you are genuinely interested in sharing wisdom and not just grab likes..stretching budget is an easy pitfall for almost all car buyers…thanks for sharing…
this is what I followed with my recent purchase: went for loan (67% of onroad amount); didnt go beyond my CTC amount no matter what;
(my reasoning: with 30% of average annual saving I should be able to virtually recoup the onroad amount in ~4years)
was aspiring AT (preferably TC) but not a deal breaker since I enjoy MT; if price delta is not much then prefer top model
This video is just pure gold. Amazing stuff
Thanks Swapnil!
MotorInc is my Satsang!
It inspires, educate and manipulates :P
Love your work and you both!
Our intent is to Inspire, educate and engage. Definitely manipulation is not our intent or our principle.
@@motorinc Yes ofcourse!
Thays where there was a 😜 . Good luck!
That sounds awesome man. Did you end up buying?
@@abk23 Yes, I did. I bought a Honda CB350RS. Haven’t regretted my decision at all.
Fantastic! Glad to know you got this figured!
Pls take a taxi boss. You have made wrong decision
Thanks for sharing!! All of us learn from our mistakes and that's how we evolve to making better and more informed decisions in the future.
Thank you for making me do maths in the morning. Head is spinning. Now I am going to spend the rest of my day wondering about which motorcycle / car I can buy today with the 20 - 10 - 4 rule !! even though I dont intend to buy one.
Always appreciate such informative videos !
Hahah Kartik fumbled and stumbled the math himself! Hope the day has gotten better now.. 😃
Yes. Doing the math is so important!
Absolutely fantastic video, straight to the point. No running around bushes. Crisp as other videos. Kudos to your hard work and experience ❤
Thank you very much!
Phew! Glad to know you had planned ahead! Thanks for sharing your garage stories with us!
100% !! I did same in my first car purchase.
Its a Base variant coz single engine option - many told just base variant go get a second hand top variant? To me its a great choice coz i can fit accessories according to my taste and NEED. Second hand wont suit me. Im like, get a new one enjoy atleast five years (not an enthusiast)
But engine is very reliable and safe to an extent too
I spent on accessories which i felt much much needed (i put seat cover after 5 months. Coz my mind said many times that 'yes u have to put seat cover ')
I didnt run behind brand, i run behind reliable brand and superior after sales support
I use the car fully by spending less
Finally im super happy with my car, stress free ownership. Im not worrying about my car. It serves the purpose in a great way.
Dont be emotional , do the math purchase it then fell in love with it
Loved the last line! Glad to know that! Thank you for sharing your story with all of us! Will help others too!
The timing of this video couldn’t be more perfect…just planning to buy new bike and this helped a lot!!
All the best Ruchir! Thanks for speaking up here!
Bro this video is gold! Also this new look of yours is so freaking good!!!
Thank you Rajat!
Amazing!! That’s such a lovely incident to know of. Thank you for sharing it with all of us. Wish you all happy motoring!
This channel is just GOLD !!
Thank you for being with us!
@motorinc these are golden words for a new car /motorcycle byers I wish I would have seen this video before my first buy. Thanks team huge respect 🙏🏻.
Thanks for watching @kamakshyaprasadpujahari4463!
I just love the spark in you when you discuss your real life experiences. This really didn't make me nap! 😉
🤜🏽🤛🏽
I wish there were ways to buy directly from the manufacturer, it would make this thought process easier to adapt, the reason being I'm fed up from the fact that there are showrooms and dealerships who try every trick in the book to manipulate , sometimes dupe customers. They add mental stress on customers to buy this variant , get this insurance, get that accessories or we wont deliver the vehicle on time
True. The process can be complex and manipulative which doesn’t help. Not all dealers though
Well said!
don't let your vehicle own you. that's a very important lesson. it becomes so stressful.
🙏🏾 wish you all the best!
Awesome! Congratulations Amol! Glad we can help!
I have had known this finance for buying a vehicle but none of the vehicle influencer have included it n you did it , Just excellent!
Haha Thanks so much. We’ll stick to automobiles - everything auto! So. .. some bits of finance.
Thanks for the wonderful advice.
Cheers Kartikeya
Thank you so much Rohan! Happy to know you liked this.
@@motorinc Have I missed something?
We’ve had a reply or two appear in a different thread now and then. Maybe this is one of those times 🤷🏽♂️

Very apt, Not many auto-journos touch upon such important issues.
Kudos
Thank you, Maneet! Glad you liked it.
Gold of a content educating riders on really important aspects of owning a vehicle. Keep going U guys.
Thanks Prabhu! ❤️
Hi! We agree then! Awesome. Thanks for dropping a message here. Do let us know if you have any suggestions for us!
The way you explain is very genuine
Thanks Paul!
Seeing them happy feels like getting extra 4-5k/month EMI worth it.❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing @siddheshpatil1384!
4:02 to 4:09 is a core philosophy even from the Gita. Nothing should own you. Well said Kartikeya
Really! Thanks for enlightening us! 😁
This video was a must after the last 'How to judge a car' video!
Also Kartikeya seems to be experimenting with his looks. Nice!
Hello Dheeraj! Thanks so much for the shout out! Glad to know you liked it.
Good, serious and real-world content. Keep it up.
Thank you Rishabh!
I like few videos, but this must be liked. Great job guys.
I wish the video was long , it just ended in a snap ,,, We can listen to this guy for all day long and the approach he provides is awesome,,.. thanks Karthikeya😊
Thank you for the kind words @thandruphani! We'll pass on your compliments.
One of My fav automotive channel.
Hullo again! And that’s awesome - better to spend knowing fully well you can afford it. And hello to the family!
Hola OTR! Thank you! Kartikeya’s friend meant well. The ‘Busa came much later. Wish you the best for the Multi! Take your time. Keep us posted though!
@@motorinc just one query guys, does the Multi support a quickshifter? I want one if I’m owning one and this 2016 example that I’m considering doesn’t have it!

@@motorinc I'll let you know!
Brilliant talk ! Makes sense .. Thank You Kartik ...
Thank you!
Dang, this is the best episode yet! Thanks KS!
Hola! Thank you for that! 🙏🏾
Thank you and great work as always. Great to hear 'seasoned people' resonate my thoughts and validating them for myself. Of late i have had 'uncles' buying their 'last cars'. Oh man, this video is amazing. Covered many relevant things and i could feel the joy in your eyes when you were describing the extra set of wheels 😂. Keep this up guys
Glad you enjoyed it!
You guys are 2 of my all time favorite reviewers. But somehow I am not enjoying the pace of the videos as much as I did when you were with your older channels. I am no pro, but here's some feedback.
The good:
- You two
- Content quality
- Length of the videos is just right
What could be better:
- Pace could be a bit more
- Could be more engaging. The video is at the same slow pace throughout. It needs some high points, some x factor for more engagement.
- Add vehicles to the videos, even if it's just a conversation video like this one. May be if it was explained with the bikes you mentioned, or any other ones you had, it would have become more relatable. May be..
I am no expert honestly, but just as a viewer, that's a few things I think will engage me more 🙂
Wish you the best.
I hope I develop a taste for such videos too, as I really look forward to content from two of my favorite reviewers 🙂
PS: I've been watching it on 2x 🙂
Excellent! Glad you found your speed!
Absolutely on point as always ❤

Thank you @rishi2504!
Thank you Karthikeya. Understood every points you've said and will keep them in mind👍💯
Hey Sam, thanks for listening! And for writing in! Means a lot.
You are a Guru man, I like the way your thought process and the mature thought process.
Thank you for these kind words.
Very important thoughts. Thumbs up Karthikeya sir.
Thanks a lot
Says the guy with the busa! 🤣
Jokes apart, I am in process of buying my first bike and really appreciate the video, helps me out a lot in the decision making!
Great videos! I have watched the entire playlist in the past week😄
😁 glad you liked the videos
I have a bike in mind from a long time, I can buy it with around my 2 months salary. The only thing pulling me back is
1: Do I need it?
2: Will I use it enough to justify the price tag?
1. If you really needed it, you would already have it.
2. This is a question you can only answer.
We'd suggest taking a test ride of the vehicle. Assuming that it doesn't put a dent on your finances and you really like the experience of riding it, there's only one answer here.
Gold standard video!
Thank you, Nikhil!
What an amazing perspective from Mr. Karthik.. definitely gonna use it as I plan to expand my garage.. Thanks a Tonn🎉 the wait is gonna be longer.. bt the fruit will definitely be that much more sweeter.
Hullo CM! Wish you all the best ! And yes the wait will be worth it. Kartik waited a loooooong time before he bought his Busa. Worth it!
