Just got them this week and I cannot take them off my ears! I usually adjust the treble up on the eq for my music since I listen to rock and heavy metal mostly, some indie and some alt and some dance music, so the treble on these 215’s is right up my alley very crisp and detailed. I’m still fiddling around with the bass and trying to get a perfect fit in my ear canal with the earbud covers. I notice that if they’re rightly in my ear canal the bass is way more prominent. I just have to experiment also with the eq that it comes with. Before these, I had the Mackie 350’s closed back headphones and those were solid as well. I just put them through too much wear and tear so they fell apart. I’m really happy with these Shute 215’s though. I’m slowly getting into more audiophile listening and these seemed like a solid jump up from the Mackies as I also needed them wireless for the gym. I wire them up at home and at school to plug into my H5 DAC and I’m very pleased with the sound. You’ve got yourself a new subscriber bro. Keep it up!
I have had my 215s for 12 years they still work fine. The cable it comes with is average at best, I am on my 5th cable! Se215s are a great buy for 100.00
Do you know if the version with the remote and mic has the same drivers and capsules as the basic ones? Also the extended bass, does it add exaggerated response that would be inaccurate for monitoring? I am on my 3rd pair of these and love them, deciding which one to get. Thanks!
Hi, remote or not drivers sound etc. are exactly the same. I also used the black ones and i prefer them to blue ltd ones. So i’d get regular ones instead for both music and monitoring.

What do it think about the Aonic 4 vs the SE 215 ?
Didn't try the Aonic 4 (se425 renamed I guess) but it seems like a better option if you have a budget.
