I got a pretty decent deal on a set of these second hand ($160 shipped including tax for a set with little to no use). Waiting for them to come in, but I'm excited. One of the features I like about these that my Sony WH-1000XM4 don't have: if I'm reading the website correctly, you can plug a USB-C source (like, oh, say, my Galaxy S23 that doesn't have a 3.5mm jack) into the Shures via a USB-C to USB-C cable and it'll play music through that digital connection.
Thanks, I don't have great experience about headphones and it's first time to know about this brand, but seems well known for producers! I'll order one, let's give it a try
not sure if you're still replying to these but... would you say these are good for studio monitoring? context: I already had them for a while, because I like how I can hear more tiny details I wouldn't hear on my Bose or AirPods Pro. but recently I've been playing around recording some stuff with my midi + vocals (also with only a sm58). would you say these are good for someone just starting?
On paper I'd say they are definitely a good starter studio monitor because they offer a flatter profile that allows you to hear sounds more accurately. But if you own them already, it's really up to your own experience and ears to see if you like them or not. I've also heard beyerdynamic headphones are good for that kind of stuff, so if you are into music production maybe check those out too!
This is one of the best reviews ive seen for this, please make more reviews just like this
