Hey got to say, these work great with my Scarlett 2i2. I had been using the Seinheisser HD BT 4.0 headset and wanted something that didn't sit on my head. Love the sound of that headset but gets cumbersome after several hours. Love these new earbuds already as they give me about the same level of good audio quality as the headset does, and looks great!
I'm a musician who uses these for live music gigging. Small tips that I found help me with these - everyone ear types are different. 1. If using the isolation foam ear tips - pinch them before fitting / placing them into your ear - the foam will expand into your ear canal giving you better sound isolation. 2. Andrew recommends not to place the cable adjustment against your head - I prefer it against my head, I think it helps with the fit in the ear (if you are moving around) - if the cable is loose I find the headphones can move and cause fit to come loose and the sound isolation to suffer. 3. When ear wax builds up on the foam tips I remove them fromt the SE215's and clean them in a small jar with hot tap water a drop of dawn dish soap and a little bit of 50% isopropyl alcohol. I close the small jar and shake it for 30 seconds. I then drain and fill with clean cool water and shake and repeat with cool water for 3 times - this rinses the foam tips and then I place tips in a window to dry in the sun for a day. They come out like new.
Hey mate, I'm a musician as well and I need some advice. I'm looking in getting the SE215 but, I notice there's a SE215-CL and a SE215SPE which goes for "Special Edition". Do you know the real difference between them?
I bought these a couple of months ago and I was going insane because I couldn't get a proper fit, I was always getting sound leaks, etc. I even purchased the weird conical ear pieces to see if that would help and nothing seemed to. Seems like I completely misunderstood the included instructions, but your video helped me get a great fit. I was about to replace them honestly, despite loving the sound, so thank you so much for this video.
Very natural . Very clear. Zero destortion. Highs has all the information and zero harshness unlike sennheizer . Shure has a Warm inviting sound signature and the SE 215 also. It sounds like it is made by pros While Sony , Boss , Sennheizer ..sound like toys. As a test taking the volum higher and there is zero distortion in the Shures yet if you do it in Sennheiser you"ll notice distortion like it is a toy. Trust me. I have the Aonic 215 after having sennheiser and I"ll never ever look back to Sennheiser. Night and day difference. Get the Shure se 225/ Aonic 215 and trust me you will make a Tidal registration very soon to hear all the goodness. Bass is real and warm . Vocals are fantastic . highs are accurate and not ringing harshly. It even has a spatial sound like you can feel the echo in the voices though such a small earbuds ; that is how vocals are so good . Also seperation is very very very good. You can't get this things from Sennheiser since it isn't there. I think regarding heaphones and earbuds Shure is the place to go for those that come from HiFi and want musicality and audiophile sound . You will notice the difference between shure and the Others - TRUST ME ON THAT.❤❤ That is quality staff ❤❤ I have wired Aonic 215. I prefer wires to bluetooth since I want to hear the high quality Tidal staff.❤ I use dragon fly cobalt dac or chord mojo 2 dac. I also have the one and onlt Shure SRH 1840 headphoes . The Aonic 215 reminds me the SRH 1840 and that shows how high quality of an earbuds are the 215 worth 2.5 their price. One might imagine that if the Aonic 215 are that good then what does it say about the Aonic 4 or 5 ??! Be calm also the Aonic 215 / SE 215 will give you the ability to enjoy Tidal high quality staff. TRUST ME ❤❤
Finally they fit! I watched a number of other videos showing to put the monitors in and then twist unit into place as you put the wire behind the ear. Very clumsy! Watched this technic and within a few practices it worked great! Thank you!
Well i am a litle scared after the warning about the volume, i just ordered the SE215 Special Edition UNI + a Extenssion Cable like you said ! I hope i dont get deaf O_O !
Today I had the opportunity to test these IEMs (transparent version) for the first time. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with the very weak bass, or in fact it is inaudible at all :( apart from that, the rest of the sound is kind of muffled, too quiet. I tested it on the phone (via the Fiio KA1 DAC) and through the headphone output of the Creative sound card in the PC.
Hi there so i just got a pair of IEMS for my pc i have been plugging them into the pc like it tells me to but they sound very very quiet even when on 100 percent i have a gigabyte MOTB this is the exact MOBO i have giga byte B560 DS3H AC-Y1 i dont know what else to do i was thinking of getting the Moon drop dawn pro see if that would help but i dont got money to keep spending money on random stuff that i thought would work but dont Please help
I must have small holes. I can't get them to fit even with the smallest thingies. If I press them to my head I can hear the bass, other wise it's very tinty sounding. Very uncomfortable. Much prefer ear enclosing headphones!
But I don't have hair anymore (and I'm fine with that - low maintenance in the grooming department)! Kidding aside I love the SHURE 215 earbuds. I use them instead of the helmet speakers that came with my SENA 50s motorcycle communiacation system. Sound as clear as light (that's ESS's claim/motto).
I think he means the “Shure EAC64 Earphones Replacement Cable.” This one is 64 inches long and is longer than what typically comes with the SE215. It’s an official Shure product that’s compatible with the SE215
@@mel27b94he plugged in an extension cable to his ear monitor cable. I can't find any shure extension cable on Guitar center, Sweetwater or even Shure website itself
I bought these on your recommendation - unfortunately not only were they defective with a loose connection on the left channel, but I could not get them to fit comfortably. The fitting is finicky, difficult and they don’t stay in the ears nicely.
@jordan. I'm not sure what the most common way of saying the name of these is but either is probably just fine. The AKG C414 microphone (a studio standard mic that has many versions and has been around for many decades) is usually pronounced See-four-fourteen but I do sometimes hear people say See-four-one four and this sounds very odd to me. Tom-ato or toe-mato ?
People just really can’t resist copy pasting their surprised face in every thumbnail…I get you have no creative drive for making thumbnails but man does it not fill me with confidence in the instructions when I see that crap smh
WHY ARE THESE SO QUET WHEN I PLUG THEM INTO MY PC?? I have the volume mixer all the way turned up in my settings. do i need an audio interface to increase the volume? why are they not loud out of the box? extremely disappointing... if anyone can help i'd seriously appreciate it. i cant find any help anywhere online. @awalldigital
I can relate to your frustration of not getting answers. The one obvious possibility could be ear placement. You need to fiddle around and be sure you have them fit into your ears properly....be sure you have the right tip size, etc. I hope that might help.
One, check your ear placement, and two if you can't get good volume it's probably using basic pc sound, which you can turn up in your speaker volume settings. It defaults sometimes to "protect your hearing". Also these earbuds (IEMs) are made to work with a mixer that has a preamp. I use a Scarlett 2i2 that I bought from Guitar Center, and it works great.

Hi, thanks for this video. I couldn’t find the “official” Shure extension cable for the SE 215 model though. Could you please link it below?

Great video! Do you have a link to the official extension cable?
I would think any standard extension cable would work? Not sure why everyone is asking for a specific one ( unless it would be a "replacement" cable ?
he mentioned the official sure extension cable however i'm not able to find it
I use a rolls semi headphone amp that clips to my belt. Great for gigging drummers.
Thank You for a very informative video
Thanks for that , it helped me a lot. Best wished from Manchester, England!!
Are these headphones good for gaming?
And are these Beaulo headphones??
Andrew, I cant seem to find the extension cable do they still produce them?
Do you have a link to the extension cable? I can't find the one you're talking about anywhere and shure's website is nonfunctional
You can still use a non Shure extension they work great.

Does it come with a quarter inch jack or converter for plugging it into an audio interface?

Terrible headphones that take forever to put on. A complete and total waste of time and money...Made for posers NOT professionals. In short garbage.
