    The 1000X M5 are definitely the best earbuds i've owned. Insane battery life, great audio quality and no "ecosystem" locking to speak of. A product can't be worth it if you have to pair it with a specific tool to fully use it

      How have you been using them? I bought the linkbuds s last year and now the battery only lasts like 10 mins. And going by the comments I've seen on the internet, it's a really common issue at least with those. To be honest, I don't want to buy an expensive pair of buds from Sony only to discover that one year after the battery is trash

I moved to Oneplus Buds Pro 3 and wow I don't regret it at all. They have blown me away and are easily the best buds I've ever used. Womp womp on the Momentum 4's and One Plus 3 Pro's - I was super ready to do the upgrade from the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro to the 3's and then Samsung kept gatekeeping features and changed the shape. Got the Momentum 4's and I love them. They actually stay in my ears, sound amazing, only downside is the microphone quality, which I barely use anyways. I agree with others here, would love to see a Best ______ Stem and Best ______ non-stem category at least for sound quality/ecosystem next year.

      I was so hesitant on the shape change but I genuinely love my buds 3 pro they fit far better then my buds 2, 2 pro and buds fe and those all fit me well. I will say I have had issues with a tight hoodie on moving the earbuds that makes me miss the old design and sleeping

    • @4203105

      The coverage (or non-coverage) of the MTW4 seems weird here. 8 months ago they were his favourite new earbuds. Now they seem to have fallen out of consideration because they aren't different enough to the 3s.
      I think change for change's sake is bad and if they are the best in some fields they should be named as such, not be excluded because they look the same as the old models. There are quite a few improvements under the hood afterall. If those aren't enough compared to the 3s in his opinion, he should have just added "If you already have the 3s, stick with them".

    • @buffalufacus
      @buffalufacus หลายเดือนก่อน

      This stuff is all so subjective and personal. Like, everyone raves about the OnePlus BP3 - I got a pair, and they are good, but I cannot do stems. I also have to go down a size for ear tips just so they stay in my ears. But then, I wore them on a walk and all I could hear is my footsteps. The M4s are great for me. I need that wing tip design.

      @@zelkos365 I noticed the same. But from my previous experiences with the higher Tier Sony earbuds - I used the Sony WF-1000XM3 and XM4 before - I always had some kind of issues with those. The XM4 had much more connection issues with me, when switching between devices like IPad and phone and also in general often would not connect when I take them out of the pocked. The Earbuds seem to be connecting much more efficiently and quickly. On the XM4 one side battery went dead on me just about 2 years after purchasing so I could not return them. The Linkbuds S batteries seem to only make a more limited number of loading cycles. But they last about a year - but then I am considering myself a poweruser since I wear and use them probably 6-10 hours a day and daily load them. So I would much rather buy a new set of these every year for about 100 Euro than buy a new set of the XM4s or 5s for a much higher price every 2 years or so. Funny enough -I still use my XM3s occasionally - but the battery now, after many years only lasts about 40 minutes or so and they feel like wearing an elefant in my ear.

    I fully agree with the Nothing Ear it seems like they don't always get their flowers because they are half the price of all the top contenders. But they're my favorite for sound quality, the controls are great, and EQ is next level compared to everything else out there. Transparency could be improved its only about a 6/10 for me and ANC is like 7/10 but they're my go to buds right now.

      The TW4 are definitely awesome earbuds! Perhaps they deserved a more pronounced segment in this video, but for the record, I am not paid by any brands for this video. I always clearly disclose sponsorships and this video was not sponsored.

      @MikeOBrienMedia i might have been a little over-the-top by saying it's a commercial. I watch most of your videos, so I obviously enjoy what you do.
      That being said, just because you aren't sponsored in this video, doesn't mean you don't have relationships that you'd rather not ruin. Its not much different than ESPN walking the fine line between reporting the sports news but not upsetting the sports leagues that provide their content.
      As to how to change that perception? Maybe make a video about how the sponsored videos work. Maybe I'm believing some myths you could disprove.
