Sounds like you need to check either your source or your ears. Arya Stealth is an excellent headphone and most people would place it above both 800s and Clear Mg.

I totally agree with you. I have them and am so happy I got them. I got rid of my Bathys did not like at all. I also have the Hifiman HE 1000se and they are so different to the Radiance but in a good way. The HE1000 is so detailed and will pull apart bad recordings. The Radiance will just let you enjoy all music. I now believe I have two of most amazing headphones that work with my Cayin N8ii and cannot believe I could better the combination. So fed up of watching TH-cam headphone influencers stating that £5000 headphones are the best but can only be used with certain devices etc. Thank you for your video.
Great explanation. I also tried Azurys and Hadenys. They are tonally more accurate. Excited for next generation of Focal headphones since current models are from 2019-2020. I also suggest you to try DCA E3. Those are next level. Tonally correct, realistic, sounds great with everything. But build quality nowhere near focal.
Hi, i need some advice! I had the HD800s by a long time but i sold it for buy an high end-iem but i changued my mind when i saw that the hd820 exists. I liked the Hd800s due to its ergnomic and open soundstage, it was great for gaming, but my problem is that the soundstage was that big/open that it felt unnatural, not to mention that the hd 800s it laks bass.. so i wonder if the HD820 it could suit better for me? Btw, If the soundstage on the HD800s is a 10 out of 10.. how much would be the soundtage on the HD820 compared to the HD800s for you? Thanks.
Soundstage is generally not what you seek on iems or headphones and it gets boring after some time HD 820 is good but it's outdated by today's standarts. Look for DCA E3.
@@coardtech How the hell sondstage can be outdated? It is freaking music. Headphones are putting out what is given to them. This is the stupidest statement i have ever seen.
@@TheBebe666 you got it wrong i guess, outdates is a wrong word, as English is not my primary language. Outperformed is a better one. Hope it makes sense now.
Lovely images. Thanks! Just bought a pair because I need to scale down from my Mackie HR624 mk2s
I would love to own a pair of 820. Please someone send me a pair. Ill pay it forward
Another great pad option for Eikon is the standard (not thin) Caldera Suede pad (top and side perforated version). It makes the headphone super comfortable and calms the bass and treble a bit, but keeps the rumble and the sound remains super clean. Tried that pad on a whim and I can't imagine the Eikon with any other pad.
Wish i can trade-in pads...
Been years, same design, no improvement, no stronger magnets, no better material to make it thinner and lighter and still stay the same weight, no permanent way of storing the pencil just at the side, no leather option. Just different colors and milking this design since forever. Boring… I think ESR shift is a superior case in most aspect and at a fraction of the cost.
IDK ESR feels cheap to me
I bought the ESR Shift for my M4 11”. I’m now waiting on a Zugu to compare. The ESR case is somewhat hard/cheap plastic & the folio is wrapped in thin, cheap & razor sharp vinyl with zero felt lining to protect the back, sides & front glass of the iPad. Wild how neither Zugu or ESR have thought to build the case w/ TPU, then dip it in silicon & place a felt lining in it. Then wrap an aluminum folio in stitched & padded leather. Then use aluminum metal for the buttons & assure their responsiveness from the interior/mechanical side of the case. I’d gladly pay $200-$300 to case & kick stand a $2000.00 device 🤷🏽♂️
I have had my 215s for 12 years they still work fine. The cable it comes with is average at best, I am on my 5th cable! Se215s are a great buy for 100.00
Thank you Friend

These VS Devialet mania which delivers better detail, instruments, sound stage, and overall sound quality?
Beosound A5 no questions is a better speaker. Style, build, usability, app, sound, bass impact, volume, seperation and all is quite significantly better on A5. If you aren’t buying 2 phantoms devialet is not worth it. Mania has big hut hollow bass.
Please use a better mic and provide more gain. You are barely audible on a Macbook 16 built-in speaker.
I’m investing in one currently and will provide higher quality content soon.
I can hear him perfectly at 100 volume on my phone. I think it's your garbage macbook
@@aaronTmusic-250 I can hear him perfectly fine with background noise too, on a macbook 2015 😅
Thanks for the frank review. Would have helped further if you had added a sound sample. At its price the speaker packs in a lot of features. So was skeptic of how good the sound itself is. Your review helps, but not as much as if one could also get to hear the sound.
It sounds like jbl flip 6 at max. I wouldn’t buy this product.
Returned it next day.
What about the bowers and Wilkins A5? That packs a punch
The 2013 one ? Doesn’t match at all
Can you charge the pen with the case?
Nope, got my case today, i can not….
Just got them this week and I cannot take them off my ears! I usually adjust the treble up on the eq for my music since I listen to rock and heavy metal mostly, some indie and some alt and some dance music, so the treble on these 215’s is right up my alley very crisp and detailed. I’m still fiddling around with the bass and trying to get a perfect fit in my ear canal with the earbud covers. I notice that if they’re rightly in my ear canal the bass is way more prominent. I just have to experiment also with the eq that it comes with. Before these, I had the Mackie 350’s closed back headphones and those were solid as well. I just put them through too much wear and tear so they fell apart. I’m really happy with these Shute 215’s though. I’m slowly getting into more audiophile listening and these seemed like a solid jump up from the Mackies as I also needed them wireless for the gym. I wire them up at home and at school to plug into my H5 DAC and I’m very pleased with the sound. You’ve got yourself a new subscriber bro. Keep it up!
Hello! How do the mids perform on your version? I know the earlier 820 models seemed to completely move away from the amazing HD600/650/800S tuning, with the mids on the 820 sounding completely different, which was such a disappointment for me. Thank you for your review.
male vocals are bit thin, other than that I find instruments like violins are very realistic. It's not an open back performance but I find HD820 really nice as an overall package, way better than my Stellia.

Great honest review so passionate, mines on it way - can't wait.
You'll love them. Let me know if you experience upgrade in sound quality with different source gear. Thanks!
I have experienced an unbelieable upgrade in sound. Using with my Cayin N8ii. Hardly have to up the volume. Whereas I do with my Hifiman 1000se. The headphones are so punchy and for a fraction of the Hifiman price (which are great also). The Radiance are so beautifully made. I am blown away with how good they are. Thanks again@@coardtech
What do it think about the Aonic 4 vs the SE 215 ?
Didn't try the Aonic 4 (se425 renamed I guess) but it seems like a better option if you have a budget.
They sound better than the air pods pro 2?
are the topping g5 any good for bass boosting on the sundara
Yes it is. But strangely, this sometimes causes some crackling noises on bass heavy tracks. I guess Sundara don’t take added bass shelf very well…
Nice, thanks for the review man.
this kse and a12t are in 'almost roxanne' territory actually
Which one will you pick? I’m not a big fan of IEM’s. I prefer TWS on the go and hifi headphones at home.
i heard the 820's a few weeks ago and they're some of the weirdest and worst headphones ive ever heard. i have no idea how people get past the fact that it sounds like the inside of a drum.
As commented by Sennheiser below, seal plays a big role. Me and my friends demo this before i purchase, my experience was this sounded to me just like a close back 800s, what it's intended to be. No bluetooth speaker effect like others describe, but regardless. It's one of the headphones that i always advise to listen before making a purchase. Like most closed backs. People loves Focal Stellia but i didn't like them at all compared to even cheaper Focals like Celestee...
Thank you for putting the HD 820S in your rotation! The design and sound are unchanged--the key for getting the most out of this headphone is the seal and letting the pads warm up so that the seal against your head is seamless from the pliable padding underneath the earpads. We agree with you, that for those needing an expansive hi-fi experience without disturbing others (or them disturbing you), the 820S is a great option.
Thank you! Never expected a reply from you guys. Just made my day.
@@coardtech thank you for the review. do you recommend this headphones to be used for gaming? I cannot decide between this and the HD 800S. thank you in advance.
If you have an environment which you are able to use open backs, don't even consider closed backs as you sacrifice performance in return of isolation. @@DavidAGarciaMontreal
@@DavidAGarciaMontreal i have HD 820s. You'd need the proper setup for pc gaming. They're good headphones if you go in and edit the EQ on your DAC/amplifier if you can. I run mine through an RME ADI pro 2, and was able to do that and I was able to get them to sound much better than how they originally sounded.
Sennheiser, might i ask why the HD 800S doesn't come with the velvet inside of the box anymore? I've dreamed of getting these headphones for years and i won't lie, i'm very upset :/ I've seen that velvet in my dreams!
Bro, why is your audio so low?
I set the gain to auto on Rode MeMic and it resulted in this horrendous volume levels. I'll fix it soon, sorry for this.
ive fixed that on recent videos but youtube lowered them
good video, I wanna buy some soon
Senny’s are the best
It depends what music you listen to. For more vocal based and where is not a lot of bass that’s where senheiser is unbeatable
@@leonszczaurski3496 they have tight punchy bass I don’t really use the bass booster It’s rare if I do
They never were the best-sounding ANC Headphones. Bose QC Ultra has them beaten in every metric currently anyway. But the B&O Beoplays are the best-sounding ANC headphones by far.
I've also tried Focal Bathys and H95. Didn't like the H95 at all. Very boxy, maybe my pair was faulty. However, i expect them to update their models soon as they aged, just like APM. Bose i've never tried so can't comment.
nice vid man
Have you actually tried the latest Sony equivalents? Definitely worth it
I did, i liked the older ones better. 1000xm4's. But APM is significantly better headphones overall, if you are willing to sacrifice a bit of weight.
I'm in the market for new headphones and since these are on sale for like 170 idk if I should go with the beats studio pro or a pair of refurbished Sony xm5 for around 200 ?
Go for these as they are great.
Do you know if the version with the remote and mic has the same drivers and capsules as the basic ones? Also the extended bass, does it add exaggerated response that would be inaccurate for monitoring? I am on my 3rd pair of these and love them, deciding which one to get. Thanks!
Hi, remote or not drivers sound etc. are exactly the same. I also used the black ones and i prefer them to blue ltd ones. So i’d get regular ones instead for both music and monitoring.
If I have airpods 2nd generation, the beats stidio pro sound better than the airpods 2nd gen?
I also have 2nd gen Airpods Pro with type-c, i can say yes. They are better.
Oh, okay, thank you very much :D
Best iPad case. Hands down.
How are these compared to IE 200?
These are quite V shaped. Which makes them really good for gaming/movies/edm, hip hop. IE 200 are tuned slightly neutral but in my opinion boring. Also their stock cable is worse. I find IE 300 to be unique. But if you want better iems at cheaper price, check linsoul. They now run a 11.11 sale and many good chi-fi iems under $100.
To everybody else, do not get a zoom, get prime Lenses. I have the Sony ZEISS Sonar 55mm 1.8 ZA, it is light, compact and the images are very sharp, with very good contrast and very good colors, I can highly recommend the Sony ZEISS Sonnar 55mm 1.8 ZA in 2023 and into the future. The lens was actually released all the way back in 2013, not 2016. It's definitely a classic and image taken with it have indeed little bit of a magic in them. 😉
I also think it's a great lens and I'm still waiting for a used one for more or less 500 USD
500 is a bit much, in grey market around grand bazaar where hundreds of photography stores located in Istanbul, you can find one around 300-350. I got mine around that. It was perfect condition. If my budget were $500, i’d look for 1.4 sacrificing weight.
