The fact that the giants are probably scattered throughout many different pantheons always intrigued me. In my opinion it would be the best way to introduce new characters from lesser known mythologies who in the god of war universe could be part giant, perhaps Maoi, the god of wind and sea could help artreus master his shape shifting ability if thiatzi doesn't join him, perhaps when jormungandr was sent back in time, the primordial force he may have created a "son" in the form of quetzocoatl who could teach him mastery over foresight. I honestly think it would be awesome if we played as a journeying artreus that travels all across the world to find his people, such an awesome concept.
I always saw the connection between monkey kings abilities and Atreus as well. I would love to see a game based in Chinese mythology with Atreus either being trained by Sun Wu Kong, or filling his role. The story of journey to the west also fits perfectly with the theme of God of War, taking down corrupt gods.

I wouldn't mind a spin-off, but imo, it's not God Of WAR without Kratos. I mean, it could have been... but Atreus's entire story was about being different from and better than his father. He should never be a God Of War, imo. And someone may be like, "But what about Tyr?" imo, he USED to be the God Of War, but basically became the God Of Peace. Or maybe even Wisdom. I noticed that on my second playthrow but didn t think much of it i thought skadi somehow put her fathers soul in an object and then transferred it in to the marble later like what atreus did to fenrir s soul when he put it in his knife
yep, maybe like Atreus's knife that used to have Fenrir's soul in it until it gets transfered to Garm, maybe Skadi's piercing arrow contains the souls of her father Thiazi. And she rushed it to Jotunheim to helped transfered his soul into a marble
Something I just noticed on my 2nd playthrough. I went back and watched the scene where they spread Fayes ashes...its the exact same glowing yellow sparkly dust...i dunno...just thought I would put that out there. Not sure if its been discussed yet but I found it interesting...
Sure, but souls are blue in GOW, clearly. At least, mostly. Jormungandr's, Fenrir's, Odin's... so unless we just assume Faye's was super special, I'd argue that's probably something else.
Maybe it's a part of the soul Some giants were killed by Thor, but some of their soul remains (considering the theory of Jormungander being either Hirimthur or Thamur) and many of the "battle" marbles are missing one of the 4 soul bits Which is why it's the "last resort" once in the marble, if they're destroyed you're gone
Here's a thought: since part of Odin's soul was inside Huginn, when Odin's soul was destroyed and possibly also the part that resided in Huginn, then he would be a soulless creature like Garm. What if Huginn mindlessly follows Atreus because he was the last thing Odin saw and because he is a soulless creature, he places Thaizi's soul inside Huginn. What intrigued me at first was, if they are whispered into the Marbles, how could they have gone away? Weren't they awaiting in the Marbles for the "Day Gods Grow Good"? As for Thiazi being in the Marbles, there's actually 2 very simple and plausible explanations, 1, when Skadi saw the bird was her father, she took out his marble and whispered his soul into it before it moved onto the light, or 2, maybe it is Skadi's soul inside her father's marble, she asked to be whispered into his marble so it wouldn't be empty.
Honestly I was expecting Loki to die with Heimdal while Kratos laments and moves on to yet another pantheon. That's what I thought of about "the END of the Norse saga." Or maybe that will somehow happen in another way.
Here is what i imagined would happened. Skadi finds her father close to death and before thiazi dies, Skadi uses the soul spell to put her father's soul into the marble. Angroboda's relatives find the marble and entrust it to Angroboda and then to Loki.

Well, if you remember Atreus puts a giant soul into a soulless Snake in Jotenhiem. The snake becomes The World Serpent, which is thrown back in time at Ragnarok.
i think you overthinked about this. true that the giants only thought of the marble as an escape due to their fear of odin finding them and started implementing it from there. but that doesnt mean that the method didnt exist prior to that point. simply put, the knowledge could have been common to all giants and she have saved his father's soul the same way Atreus did with Fenrir.
Thiazi could have been marbled, but Skaadi wasn't aware of it because she was off hunting or something. Odin then doubles down on the trick by 1) making her think the eagle was her father and 2) making her think she killed him. Odin could have been controlling the eagle the whole time like a puppet.
I think I have a good idea of how the can explain the Thiazi marble. Simple, Mimir was wrong, the same way he was wrong about the giant wolfs and how Odin had him. Odin simply lied again regarding Skadi and her father's dead to make other believe how smart he was. Which mean that Skadi may have escaped and finds Atreus and he gives her back his father
I don’t think Skaadi was tricked. Hi Kuba, I’ve thought of this interesting theory recently, so basically at the end of GoW3 the humans of Greece get the power of hope, now what if those humans went to Rome and started their new Roman pantheon, which could give an in-game explanation as to why the Greek and Roman pantheons are so similar. Obviously my theory isn’t that fleshed out but I thought maybe you could expand on it.
Thiazi probably was the first successful attempt to be used on a marble given the situation was desperate and not out of Fear. She saved her father , who now needs a body.
Completely unrelated, but you know that part of the game where you first play as Atreus and you go to find Freya? Along the way you see a deer for only a moment before it runs away, and when you go further you see a dead deer in the cave the other deer ran off to. So I have a mini theory(not really but more of a question I guess), who was the other deer? Just a deer? The ghost of the dead deer? Just a weird little thing I've been thinking about
Everytime I see the scene of Atreus checking out the marbles and putting them back into the bag makes me so pissed off. Why is he so aggressive with the damn marbles just put them back in gently💀
In my opinion it could be his own doughter's soul,my theory is cuz she's bearing the guilt of killing her own father she could decided to put her own soul into the marble to take his fathers posision or bercouse of the guilt she put herself there to let her be in peace.
If Thiazi's involved, maybe Skadi will be. Makes me wonder - some franchises have gone the 'Skadi and Scathach of Irish legend are related' path, and Atreus is going out there, think we're going to Ireland?
It was showing In god of war Ragnarök that souls can be put in any soul less body, if he was the first to get a soul put in a marble, he could have another soul in his body that is not his, but still ahs his memoires because it's still his brain. this is what happens when you wear not 1 but 2 tin foil hats, making you think more powerful theories.
What if someone else’s soul is in there tho? A giant we wouldn’t expect could of had their soul put in as a diversion. “Oh never mind you said it at the end lol”
Fenrir's soul was with atreus for quiet sometime might be before theyatze too his last breath Scotty did the spell without Odin noticing and took the soul into one of her arrows or somethin
@@ragnarok9658 your wrong giant magic is versatile remember angrboda said that the vanir learned magic from the giants then did they own experiments Atreus is a god/giant hybrid so his godhood is the conduit to his magic as opposed to having it learned he can learn new magic from being a giant and of the Norse realm but he also has a set of powers inherited directly from his godhood
She specifically said that HIS shapeshifting was likely a god power rather than a giant magic thing. Because it’s triggered by emotions rather than spoken magic. It’s likely that Thiazi was just extremely adept at giant magic and used that to transform at will rather than it being an inherent part of his being.
What if the Marble says Thiazi as it was intended for him but contains the soul as someone else since like we've seen with Odin it doesn't necessarily have to have them in it.
I think the soul that was placed in the world serpent might be one of the sons of ivodi. In the first game when they go into belly of the beast. Mimir says the stomach fluid reminds him of alcohol. In Ragnarok Atreus and Angrboda go into a pit hole which is named after one of Ivoldis sons n Atreus says it smells like old water.
Angrboda and Atreus would probably be like Kratos and Freya, imo. Which I loved. Of course, that's because they've both lost so much so I super ship it... but yeah. I think Angrboda is Atreus's travel companion. That was the whole point of Atreus being like, "You can do anything with your future." I definitely think the marble is occupied by someone else. No clue who, but someone else.
what if þiazi‘s soul IS the soul in the marble, but someone extracted it from the light of álfheim to put into the marble. it could be possible for atreus to do the same for laufey and another blank marble (maybe even craft his own)
If there is an Atreus spin-off, I hope they make it so that we can play with Kratos and Atreus throughout the story mode. I get anxious thinking of a GOW without kratos🙆🏽♂️
Hey Kaptain, are there any backstory on draupnir spear?? It is a close duplicate of the arms of sparta from God of War: Ghost of Sparta. Even the runic attack is the same with the L + hold square.

Maybe thiazi can relate to kratos because They were both tricked into killing a loved one so he would be a good little story line on the side
Thiazi didn’t kill his daughter it was the other way around, did you even watch the video
well, couldn't they have just taken his soul from the light of alfheim? Sindri has done it before so shouldn't it also be possible for the giants?
if we get a game with older Atreus destroying another pantheon by his own I'm all for it ahahah
hope mimir will be there
fricking love mimir
Thiazi probably was the first successful attempt to be used on a marble given the situation was desperate and not out of Fear. She saved her father , who now needs a body.
Completely unrelated, but you know that part of the game where you first play as Atreus and you go to find Freya? Along the way you see a deer for only a moment before it runs away, and when you go further you see a dead deer in the cave the other deer ran off to. So I have a mini theory(not really but more of a question I guess), who was the other deer? Just a deer? The ghost of the dead deer? Just a weird little thing I've been thinking about
I'll check it out!
@@KaptainKuba i thought it may have been Freya or an animal letting Freya know Atreus was coming
Yeah this is a big Tim Foil Hat Theory energy. I didnt even think of this.
Everytime I see the scene of Atreus checking out the marbles and putting them back into the bag makes me so pissed off. Why is he so aggressive with the damn marbles just put them back in gently💀
I'm here and ready for theorizin kaptain!
That does make a lot of sense
That thumbnail is wild 😂😂😂😂
They could simply say that they tricked Odin into thinking she killed her father.
Love the thumbnail of the video so funny
maybe part of his soul you know the soul spilt into four souls that's why the ball is looking a bit old and ugly because it's a rock
Maybe it is not Thiazi's soul in it but a random giant. But yeah it could be a mistake like a dev that was like "Me want marble to glow"
So free a sunboarder had rooms to make him. And so we can't balance it when I put that in credits
That would be badass and I love the idea Atreus goes to Ireland
It was showing In god of war Ragnarök that souls can be put in any soul less body, if he was the first to get a soul put in a marble, he could have another soul in his body that is not his, but still ahs his memoires because it's still his brain. this is what happens when you wear not 1 but 2 tin foil hats, making you think more powerful theories.
Hi kuba is good to see that your back to doing theory’s although this doesn’t look like one lol😂😂❤
Angrboda told Atreus that shapeshifting was a god power and not a giant thing. So It's kinda weird that another giant had this power...
Exactly. Thats why i believe loki is the son of odin.
Santa Monica please get this man to Writers room
Garm’s soul? Atreus straight up said it’s a beast without a soul
i can read runes now... im so cool
The fact the eden is mentioned says something to me
Maybe just maybe, anthor giant has the same name
I think the soul that was placed in the world serpent might be one of the sons of ivodi. In the first game when they go into belly of the beast. Mimir says the stomach fluid reminds him of alcohol. In Ragnarok Atreus and Angrboda go into a pit hole which is named after one of Ivoldis sons n Atreus says it smells like old water.
What if Thiazi's soul was put into the orb before skaði hunted him, and he became a soulless bird, died, and then the giants move to Jotunheim?
What if when Atreus says he knows where to look is actually back in Greece lol
Santa monica is taking notes
They need to make more Norse games, it’s by far the most interesting pantheon ever
Hey Kaptain.
When will you release your complete review video of the game?
Cmon bro kratos videos deserves a more hyped up intro than that dont u think
Bro never misses he’s after sms
Angrboda and Atreus would probably be like Kratos and Freya, imo. Which I loved. Of course, that's because they've both lost so much so I super ship it... but yeah. I think Angrboda is Atreus's travel companion. That was the whole point of Atreus being like, "You can do anything with your future."
I definitely think the marble is occupied by someone else. No clue who, but someone else.
what if þiazi‘s soul IS the soul in the marble, but someone extracted it from the light of álfheim to put into the marble. it could be possible for atreus to do the same for laufey and another blank marble (maybe even craft his own)
Also isn't Thiazi one of the runic attack Kratos has with the leviathan axe in 2018 GOW
Thiazi's Talon, yes. In Ragnarok, you get a runic attack named after his daughter, called Skadi's Edge.
@rs0620 totally forgot about that one
@@squashmallow2006 that attack is that again?
If there is an Atreus spin-off, I hope they make it so that we can play with Kratos and Atreus throughout the story mode.
I get anxious thinking of a GOW without kratos🙆🏽♂️
Hey Kaptain, are there any backstory on draupnir spear?? It is a close duplicate of the arms of sparta from God of War: Ghost of Sparta. Even the runic attack is the same with the L + hold square.
Eric confirmed it was inspired by the arms of Sparta but theres no actual lore connection
The inspiration could be due to Kratos’ blood, taking something from his memories and past
The important question is when will that damn spinoff comes out?
One of the game devs slipped up and almost confirmed Faye would come back somehow maybe faye is in Thiazis marble
What if the bear atreus killed in the opening of god of war ragnarok was a giant trying to make her way to Kratos and Loki to warn them of Odin coming to their home
2K or not, he said “Would You Kindly” so now I have to like and subscribe.
Someone's played bioshock 😂
Ahhh, the dryness of this channel starts to change to a tropical rainforest. Nice!
It could be that they find a new body for thiatzi and he could potentially help with his shapeshifting
