Sindri used a hammer to destroy the marble that odins soul was in however we have seen that they have a lot of abilities with the hammer. Mimir once stated that Odin hung himself and was cast into the lake of souls (possibly wrong name for it) as we know at least some of the soul is supposed to go to the light of alfheim but when his soul got extracted there were 4 soul bits (they seemingly tried to make it hard to notice there was 4) and mimir said that Odin must have been so annoying that he got brought back to life because even the light didn't want him. Brok was able to communicate with the soul in the ring so my mindset is what if sindri actually trapped the soul of Odin in the hammer and is going to try to use Odin for information on how to fully recover a soul. This could lead to Odin manipulating sindri to where sindri will unknowingly give Odin what he needs to come back leaving sindri with nothing and Odin would now be more dangerous because at this point he's faced kratos and Freya before and now he's more prepared.
I have theory that the reason Kratos got the blades of chaos instead of the blade of exile is because the blades of exile were greek magic while the blade of chaos were primordial. Jon ford and another breakdown channel are the only gow TH-camrs that I know of that saw this. You and most yt's missed this. Since ragnarok happened 100 years earlier than it was suppose to it makes sense why hel isn't born yet since the reason she was shown in that mural from the last was because was because Atreus was suppose to be over a hundred years old before the original Ragnarok was suppose to happen.
I think it makes more sense that Fenrir will rule Helheim. He’s another child of Loki, He died, previously Garm, who used to reside in Helheim. Powerful enough. Plus Fenrir only knew goodness through Atreus. So, he’s more logical to rule
I feel it'd be fitting for angrboda to be the ruler of hel considering she is the mother of Hel and she's also female all she'd need is the undead part which maybe she'd receive upon taking the mantle of hels new ruler, though it wouldn't make much sense for it to be her because if so then hildisvini and Mimir would have just told the bird she's taking the job without her knowing
I believe: A) Hildisvini as well, came here to see if you agree. Otherwise; B) My personal favourite: No ruler and the realm will be in chaos acting as a plot point for the next game
Please make a video on when Zues's face appears on the far clouds of Helhiem and Keaton asks what is that place and mimir reply you will never go there I am so curious to know about that maybe that's the higher plane of existence?
I don't think the throne has been passed on yet. Mimir says she'd like to retire, not that she already did. The replacement being a future child of Loki and Angrboda seems painfully obvious to me.
I like to imagine Hel in God of War mythology as a bureaucracy. Hildisvini may not be powerful in muscle and magic sense but is a great diplomat who Mimir says could be trying to "out diplomat him".
As someone already commented, I can 100% see Sindri be the one who takes the role and I would like to add that it could make him a good "villain" for the upcoming games, since he could gain the power of unleashing lost souls.
Personally, I think the tenth ruler of Helheim will eventually be none other than Hel(a) herself, as in, the daughter of Atreus A.K.A. Loki, and Angrboda. They've already made it fairly clear that the two giant kids are going to be wed to each other in the future, so Santa Monica pretty much has a convenient and lore friendly answer to this question in the works already, whether we like it or not. So the eagle may have to wait another few decades or so in the God of War universe's timeline, but she'll get her replacement, and her well earned retirement eventually.
I doubt its either of them because of the wording Mimir uses; 'Nothing too horrifying' which makes me read it has the promise is that they would help find a replacement... either someone who actually wants the job or someone they trick into taking it. Sindri is a decent candidate, because he has and will do anything for Brok, so if he takes the job he can either have the time and space to either look for Brok... maybe even just the final part of him he didn't get originally or have the time to tinker with a different way of bringing him back. However, we don't know if the replacement has to be alive to take the role, it might even be a criterium that they actually are dead... like how the bird and Garm both already looked dead and how Mimir was needed to ease communication. Which I think leaves us with one good option for the role: Thor. He is already in Helheim, he should be perfectly capable of keeping the dead in and the living out and he has plenty of regrets from his life that could leave him open to taking an otherwise thankless task and might even prefer it over being just one of the quiet and invisible souls wandering the realm.
hey kaptain kuba I was wondering if you noticed that brok and sindri still have the cups you sold to them in the 2018 game in the "bottoms up" artifact set. you can see the group using the cups at the dinner scenes :)
I thought of that earlier, because I got to the part where they went to get Surtr. They had to bring mimir to help recruit helheims army since he was technically dead. I thought it was an interesting detail
In my opinion Ragnarok left so many things unanswered and unfulfiled like the horn and LITERALLY EVERYTHING OF HEL, and how are we gonna get those answers if were not even in the norse realm anymore like BRUH!
There is a theory that Odin is is still alive It's him actually Mimir and Durlin in disguise because Mimir also has an accent in the name Just like Tyr with a fake name and I saw both in the 1st game and in that second in the giants' murals and also even inside Tyr's temple there is an art of someone trapped in a tree Along with 2 crows being watched so it could be Mimir still trapped Besides, when we meet Odin and he's together with Thor and Mimir maybe it's fake he kind of closes his mouth but keeps talking and the head also talks together when Odin kind of talks with his mouth closed like This could be a clue/hint And every time we meet Durlin he's really weird and when we meet him in Svartalhaim with Odin he seems like he doesn't even know us Pretty weird isn't it? Imagine if in the next game it is revealed that Odin is still alive and managed to escape Besides that there is Huggin the crow managed to escape and is still alive that his translation for their names and by Munnin is the body and Munnin It's Odin's memories of Odin So.. maybe Odin can go back but without memory And he manipulated and knew everything from the beginning And he was always on our side because he was the Mímir He sent Atreus/Loki to free the Garm because the wolf would be his freedom to escape death and the real Mimir is still in a tree still stuck out there somewhere Maybe in Asgard or Valhalla If this theory is true it will be crazy make a video about this theory and we also have The comeback Thor,Baldur,Magni and Modi back to life And they might still be alive 🤔🤯 like and Bye!
imagine mimir as hel tho. having all those souls to learn events from. and so much to tell. if you ever needed to know a past event involving lost lives. there would be no one better to ask.
Hey Kaptain Kuba, I have an idea for a next video. Why don’t you make a video about the fight between Faye and Thor? Or why don’t you talk about the lighting bolt found in Midgard and Svarthalfheim? Or the idea of Faye and Thor somehow being related? I mean, think about, both half god, half giant. Both of them have the same red hair for some reason, maybe they could be half siblings somehow?
Interestingly the troll gatekeeper of Helheim in god of war 2018 has the surname Helson. so the gatekeeper must be the son of either Hræsvelgr or one of her predicessors.
My theory is that Atreus / Loki and Angraboda would have a daughter one day, and she would become Hel somehow. Not sure how she'd end up looking like Havey Dent but It would match the mythology
If you think about it could be mimir bc mimir is the smartest man alive which means he knows how to handle power his wise which means he won’t do anything stupid and his alr held great power once and learned that juh bc u have power doesn’t mean ur invincible and plus since being the ruler of hel grants a lot of power he could possibly grow his body back w bifrost or sum type ancient magic or dark magic or spell you never kno idk to me it makes more sense if mimir would b the one to b hel ruler buh then we lose him as side character which I don’t want to happen so idk kinda 50/50 btw mimir and hildisvine if I had to chose btw to 2 I chose hildisvine so he can learn to better smarter wiser like mimir after all his is the counselor to the vanir. we saw wut the counselor of the asir could do now maybe now its time to see wut the vanir counselor is capable of
honestly, I think mimir or sindri would be pretty fun to see as the new Hel, mabey sindri fucks something up trying to track down broks soul and its ramifications are so extream that wherever kratos/atreus are also gets affected and so they have to go to the land of the dead in the new relm there in to fix the situation and help sindri then whoever the death god is for the next pantheon takes over for a while tell kratos and atreus find a replacement, be hilarious if kratos somehow found the boat captain he killed all those years ago and made him the new hel and he ran a tight ship as it where.
I don't think she will be the next. Se isn't even born yet and I doubt Bird would wait that long to retire. Besides, if that is the answer Mimir's dialoge would be meaningles. She will be a ruler of Hel just not the 10th
I think they might stick to the main lore. I believe it will be lokis daughter. They didn’t specifically say who is or WHEN this replacement is going to happen. I think there’s some kind of time loop happening where lokis kids are all born but lokis himself is back as a kid and his kids knowing their father but don’t recognize him because he’s younger. Since they already have done some kind of time loop explaining with Thor knocking the world serpent back in time.
@@KaptainKuba well it is sure convincing. Also I feel like if mimir was the next ruler then with how smart he is I feel like he would be like a very smart god of war villan and well he did trap a innocent whale in the water for hundreds of years.
I think Mimir being the new Hel would give him a chance to get his body back, but we are definitely not seeing it happening anytime soon if it is Mimir, which I don't think it will be. Mimir is hinted to be from a different land (like Kratos) than from The Norse lands originally, and I think this would actually prevent him from being a death god in Helheim. Another one that could be possible in way as we don't exactly know how death works for Norse gods is Baldur, who in Norse mythology is unable to leave helheim after he dies, so him being forced to stay in the land of the dead makes sense for him to rule the land in a way. I think it is also possible that a daughter of Atreus just ends up taking her place at some point but I doubt they'd wait say 40 yrs to replace the current Hel when there's options currently.
I remember watching all these theories about how Kratos is going die and then Kratos didn't die so it could literally be anybody to take the birds place
I think you interpreted the conversation wrong. They didn't want to elaborate about the negotiation they went through because they realized that they have to fulfill their end of the bargain. Who are the getting to replace her? We know from a mural in 2018 that Hel is/will be a daughter of Loki and Angrboda, so she might be the new ruler thanks to Atreus
What people forget is she said she wanted to retire in a bit and not that she did it's more likely that in a while Atreus has a kid with angraboda and she becomes the ruler because who better than a grandchild of a being as strong as kratos
I have a question for you captain Kuba. This could be a video idea but I'm just wondering if zeus was in helheim and was able to control himself as a dark spirit cloud then why was he not part of the story in ragnarok later on or even the end of 2018. The fight atreus saw in helheim was zeus vs kratos but... it wasn't the dark cloud version of zeus. So I'm just wondering like what else could they do for the next god of war with zeus or something?
Well what about jormungandr his destiny after ragnarok is unknown also you can notice that he left the lake of the nine at the end of the game so maybe he well be the ruler of helheim
It'd be pretty cool if the giants that fled the 9 realms were actually Eric the Red and Lief Erikson, and Atreus needed to follow in their footsteps by going to Iceland, Greenland, and eventually Canada.
@@vincentcriscenzo1709 would be oretty cool yeah and if the story would be written well kratos and atreus meet on the same path they are on but of diffrent reasons
Imagine if this was a trilogy and the climax of this game was shutting down Valhalla with the bird so Odin wouldn’t be able to bring back his army as fast as kratos could kill them. Have some awesome aerial battles with kratos riding the bird and the Valkaries flying around him as support.
what if the bird asked them to find someone capable, and maybe it can be surtur’s wife as now that her loved one is gone, she will take the throne as a tribute to surtur
I have a very nice theory Atreus is Loki and he is with Angroboda now So maybe in future games they get a daughter with a fake name (like they did it with Atreus)and then she becomes Hela
Ι think the next ruler hasn't been figured out by the characters inside the universe themselves, but if i have to place my bets it is going to be the daughter of Atreus and Angrboða
@@dawipeach8948 not that part, for “the guest” it was said by one of the spirits in the crater area saying that they “seen thor with a creature”… and for the mask, the cutscene where everyone was asking if anyone seen the mask before, and judging by how sindri reacted to seeing it raised an eyebrow..

My guess Atreus would have a kid with Angraboda who will be Hella, (Loki’s daughter in the myths who’s the goddess of death) who’ll take Hel’s throne
Love a ad before the video even starts
I bet it’ll be Sindri cause I figure he would think that taking place as the new ruler of Hel would make him able to bring Brok back at any costs
I believe:
A) Hildisvini as well, came here to see if you agree. Otherwise;
B) My personal favourite: No ruler and the realm will be in chaos acting as a plot point for the next game
Please make a video on when Zues's face appears on the far clouds of Helhiem and Keaton asks what is that place and mimir reply you will never go there I am so curious to know about that maybe that's the higher plane of existence?
Mimir's description of what it's like to be Hel can be almost used to describe what it's like to be the God of War
I don't think the throne has been passed on yet. Mimir says she'd like to retire, not that she already did. The replacement being a future child of Loki and Angrboda seems painfully obvious to me.
"Hel. Not taxes." choked on my toast lol
The next one is gonna be like the berserker grave stones were gonna have to fight 9 hel rulers
I thought it was implied that mimir would become ruler of hel until this video. And after the video I still think he will be
Samesies, I don't know how he got Hildisvini out of this
@@baldbull6808because hildisvini took him there and held him up while they talked highly likely
Imagine they release a DLC focusing on the 9 Past Rulers and turn them into Valkyrie style boss fights on steroids
What about the actual Norse Deity… “Hel”… she’s actually the ruler & Deity of the underworld of (Hel)heim
hey kaptain kuba I was wondering if you noticed that brok and sindri still have the cups you sold to them in the 2018 game in the "bottoms up" artifact set. you can see the group using the cups at the dinner scenes :)
I thought of that earlier, because I got to the part where they went to get Surtr. They had to bring mimir to help recruit helheims army since he was technically dead. I thought it was an interesting detail
Video starts at 2:19
Maybe Fenrir will be the next ruler of Helheim?
The best promotional talk lol 😂💯
In my opinion Ragnarok left so many things unanswered and unfulfiled like the horn and LITERALLY EVERYTHING OF HEL, and how are we gonna get those answers if were not even in the norse realm anymore like BRUH!
That's the downside of having a "creative director." Endless ambiguity to look a genius storyteller. Lol
It's honestly kinda cute that a giant bird who lived for thousands of years and ruled for a long time. And the bird just wants to give up her job.
Imagine if in the next game it is revealed that Odin is still alive and managed to escape Besides that there is Huggin the crow managed to escape and is still alive that his translation for their names and by Munnin is the body and Munnin It's Odin's memories of Odin
So.. maybe Odin can go back but without memory And he manipulated and knew everything from the beginning And he was always on our side because he was the Mímir He sent Atreus/Loki to free the Garm because the wolf would be his freedom to escape death and the real Mimir is still in a tree still stuck out there somewhere Maybe in Asgard or Valhalla If this theory is true it will be crazy
make a video about this theory and we also have The comeback Thor,Baldur,Magni and Modi back to life And they might still be alive 🤔🤯 like and Bye!
Soooo.... Next time Kratos visit Helheim, he'll see a giant pig staring at him instead of the giant eagle?
imagine mimir as hel tho. having all those souls to learn events from. and so much to tell. if you ever needed to know a past event involving lost lives. there would be no one better to ask.
"No, not taxes" was the best joke ever said in the history of jokes
If you think about it could be mimir bc mimir is the smartest man alive which means he knows how to handle power his wise which means he won’t do anything stupid and his alr held great power once and learned that juh bc u have power doesn’t mean ur invincible and plus since being the ruler of hel grants a lot of power he could possibly grow his body back w bifrost or sum type ancient magic or dark magic or spell you never kno idk to me it makes more sense if mimir would b the one to b hel ruler buh then we lose him as side character which I don’t want to happen so idk kinda 50/50 btw mimir and hildisvine if I had to chose btw to 2 I chose hildisvine so he can learn to better smarter wiser like mimir after all his is the counselor to the vanir. we saw wut the counselor of the asir could do now maybe now its time to see wut the vanir counselor is capable of
Damn that’s a long ass ad to open the video..
honestly, I think mimir or sindri would be pretty fun to see as the new Hel, mabey sindri fucks something up trying to track down broks soul and its ramifications are so extream that wherever kratos/atreus are also gets affected and so they have to go to the land of the dead in the new relm there in to fix the situation and help sindri then whoever the death god is for the next pantheon takes over for a while tell kratos and atreus find a replacement, be hilarious if kratos somehow found the boat captain he killed all those years ago and made him the new hel and he ran a tight ship as it where.
I always assumed mimir was the one to take over the spot, hence why he's reluctant to talk in great detail about the deal
I can see this but I kinda hope Baldur rises from Hel to take the throne
@@ItsButterBean1020 Baldur was a Aesier God and he died in combat so apparently he goes to the warriors afterlife Valhalla not Hel
enjoyable and interesting theory as usual!
Hræsvelgr: "Im the biggest bird, im the biggest bird"
Loki's daughter will in my opinion
Who is his daughter what’s her name
@@greenbeans8359 hel
But we’re not going back to Norse
Captain Kuba is the best at convincing people to download or use the website youtubers sponsor.
Hahaha I'm glad you like my ad
"no not taxis" cracked me up bro 😂
That's why you come to this channel, they comedy 😂
I remember watching all these theories about how Kratos is going die and then Kratos didn't die so it could literally be anybody to take the birds place
I think you interpreted the conversation wrong. They didn't want to elaborate about the negotiation they went through because they realized that they have to fulfill their end of the bargain. Who are the getting to replace her? We know from a mural in 2018 that Hel is/will be a daughter of Loki and Angrboda, so she might be the new ruler thanks to Atreus
What about Freyas brother? He is already dead but it's like he knew he was going to die. Any evidence of that?
12:39 that's crazy 🤣
What people forget is she said she wanted to retire in a bit and not that she did it's more likely that in a while Atreus has a kid with angraboda and she becomes the ruler because who better than a grandchild of a being as strong as kratos
Leave it to Kuba to get me rolling from his advertisment banter.
Close, but I thought it was obvious it'll be Mimir. He's already used to being stagnant watching over everything
The one person that nobody has thought about is Freyr. He dies at the end.
Love the video, random question what kind of mic, interface, and software do you use?
Maybe its thor he died while ragnarok happened and odin wouldn't have let him into Valhalla so maybe the bird took him in
Lol this ad was 🔥🔥😂
Might be Loki and Angrboda child Hel, might happen in the future GOW games
Well what about jormungandr his destiny after ragnarok is unknown also you can notice that he left the lake of the nine at the end of the game so maybe he well be the ruler of helheim
Wait, I thought it was pretty obvious for all of us that this was hint to the "real" Hel, the future daughter of Loki and Angrboda
Hello Kaptain Kuba,
I have an idea/ question for a future video. Who actually cuts the hair of Atreus?
I can imagine Kratos giving him a haircut with his axe lol
@@wiswc my head-canon tells me he uses the blades lol
When I run out of content I'll make sure to tackle that question 😉
I do have a question who are the 9 rulers over the 9 realms I know that Hræsvelgr and Jormungandr are two but who are the other 7?
If there is gonna be a solo game of atreus what do you think its gonna be about?
It'd be pretty cool if the giants that fled the 9 realms were actually Eric the Red and Lief Erikson, and Atreus needed to follow in their footsteps by going to Iceland, Greenland, and eventually Canada.
@@vincentcriscenzo1709 would be oretty cool yeah and if the story would be written well kratos and atreus meet on the same path they are on but of diffrent reasons
Finding the giants as he says in the game, but Im not sure why he needs to find them
@@KaptainKuba do you think this is the way santa monica is going to introduce us to egypt or?
Imagine if this was a trilogy and the climax of this game was shutting down Valhalla with the bird so Odin wouldn’t be able to bring back his army as fast as kratos could kill them.
Have some awesome aerial battles with kratos riding the bird and the Valkaries flying around him as support.
How can I become a member of Discord? Any suggestions?
If the bird of helheim would be lose in the realms.....that would be horrifying just seeing her fly around.
Btw kuba who was really stronger between kratos and odin, if they had a 1v1 who would really win? If kratos is not holding back
what if the bird asked them to find someone capable, and maybe it can be surtur’s wife as now that her loved one is gone, she will take the throne as a tribute to surtur
See Sif hairs and the number 34 suddenly come up my mind....
I think it will be Atreus and Angrboda's daughter, Hel herself AKA Hela.
Great video kuba
I have a very nice theory Atreus is Loki and he is with Angroboda now
So maybe in future games they get a daughter with a fake name (like they did it with Atreus)and then she becomes Hela
Ι think the next ruler hasn't been figured out by the characters inside the universe themselves, but if i have to place my bets it is going to be the daughter of Atreus and Angrboða
What about Jormungadr? I'm sure our serpent friend would make and amazing candidate for the throne of Hel!
He died and probably went to Valhalla.
He retired.
@@bengsynthmusic why would he go to Valhalla, he's a giant?
@@LegendRonk
But he died a warrior's death so he should probably end up in a nicer place than Hel.
Btw in Norse mythology ‘Helheim’ isn’t the realms name. It’s called Hel just like Loki’s daughter who rules it
Yeah I think it’s just to differentiate it from the Christian one
Heres another idea or theory… Or two.. Sindri’s reaction to seeing “The Mask”… and Who was the guest that was with Thor before his battle with Faye..
Do you mean Hrimthur, the Stone Giant?
@@dawipeach8948 not that part, for “the guest” it was said by one of the spirits in the crater area saying that they “seen thor with a creature”… and for the mask, the cutscene where everyone was asking if anyone seen the mask before, and judging by how sindri reacted to seeing it raised an eyebrow..
@@ThePALoLo808 Maybe it was a Troll or an Animal Giant? It could also be an Ogre or that Giant that could transform into Animals who was the Father of Skadi
i thought the retirement was ment as a hint that lokis daughter will be the next ruler of hel
aint nun better than some kaptainkuba
The only theory I have is that Mabey someone in the Greek world could take hel birds place 3 example nyx,Aphrodite, or artimis but I also think that angrboda could make a hel just like in the actual mythology
Mimir should be the leader of Helheim in the next game, but shortly after the game starts Kratos goes there for knowledge on whatever challenge faces him and picks him up before he leaves.
Kaptain Kuba: Mimir might be the next ruler of helheim!
Fans: Not my head!
😂😂😂 pretty much
@@KaptainKuba but dude thanks for another great video and helping keep the god of war community flowing and can’t wait for your next vid whenever that’ll be… hopefully in a week, please 🙏
And also Ragnarok was definitely a legendary game BUT a massive lore filled world in only 2 games did make it fall of a bit
