I can get with that.... I also think with the meta changing makes the game fun in different ways, good for the community to have their favorite weapon OP at some point in the games lifes cycle is an awesome thing as well. But of course you always bring the game back in balance with lore. But changes are important I think is good for longevity.
@@MoProduktions i agree wth both of you. but at some point you will run into the issue of power creep, as you said, new difficulties and etc. but i dont think this is a solution forever. just look at warframe. there is so much power creep difficulty is a joke. there needs to be a different solution other than just bumping up numbers and changing perks, and upping difficulty
I would say just to nerf the grenade launcher. Just make the emperors vengeance perk do what it does for all the other guns. Instead of getting everything back you just get a percentage of the total for things that only have a single magazine. They already did that to the plasma, they need to do that to grenade launcher so that it's uniform across all the weapons. I know they buffed the charge attack for some melee weapons but i feel like they could also use a contested health buff for a charged attack too. Currently, using a charged attack just puts you in more danger to spend time charging up to attack. Either make it have 100% more contested health when you perform and land a charged attack OR give a defensive buff when you're charging your weapon. Then there might be more use cases for trying to land charged attacks. The only time i can even use the charged chainsword attack is when the neurothrope is stunned after it lands
Interesting take, I know you somewhat adressed Power Creep by saying new difficulties and modes would come out over time but I do think that the 5th buff pass on whatever weapon could start to get kind of absurd and outpace the new difficulties and modes. I think you could maybe do that once in a while but you cant just buff every weapon in a circular pattern forever. I do think that nerfs are not good and piss off players so I agree with you there. I think maybe they could do a good buff pass focusing on the weapons that really need it like the power fist, Auto Bolt Rifle, Heavy Bolt Rifle, Instigator Carbine, and probably some others im not thinking of and then the Devs could maybe put more focus on new weapons, enemy changes, new/altered mechanics, and finally new weapons, levels, and classes although I know those last 3 take a significant amount more time and effort
Definitely agree. For sure the 3 you named should be hit first and soon. And the others I would say patch by patch slowly so your in theory your not hitting cycle 1 for at minimum 6 mons from now.

#1. IMHO most of the guns in this game are very weak., for the limited ammo they give us, they should be stronger. #2 most studios are more worried about us playing the game their way rather than people just having fun playing their game.
I always was a huge hater of the very word "meta". Usually it just liquidize people's brains to the point when they can't think for themselves. "Some random dude on youtube said so, so it's 1000000% truth" - always something like that. I just want all guns to be if not good then at least usable, so every player can choose between, not just auto-pick the most OP thing in the world nuking everything on the path. Either let everything nuke or make some balance. My personal wishlist for weapons: 1) Rework block weapons to deal much more damage then fencing to justify lack of defense and almost complete absence of gunstrikes. 2) Buff bolt weapons even further (excluding heavy bolter and carbine). Most of them still are pretty bad against majors and beyond. 3) Personal buff for instigator - it has the most atrotious ammo economy in the game, getting out of ammo after one big fight is just stupid. 4) Remove the frendly stagger from tactical's GL. It's just irritating to be constantly stunned by tacticals in my team that spam grenades 24/7 with their unlimited ammo. With such allies I don't even need enemies. Because even enemies don't stunlock me so hard.
I'd argue there doesn't need to be a meta. Every weapon should have its place. Different tools for different jobs.

Melta will out-damage on stats every time, but I am more effective in a lethal clear with the Occulus - the stats dont tell the whole story
