Expending whole halo has practical uses. For example, I have 10% damage when it's active and 15% while it recharges. Basically free damage all the time. Plus faster ability regen for the team. Plus if it fully expended you recharge 1 armor plate to everyone which combined with the very first perk allows to recharge armor consistently even without standart mechanics.
Ain’t the perfect parry window is in the swing? Won’t this trick just limit that? It seems to reset the parry animation real quick. Iron halo is meant to activate and deactivate after use, i thought everyone know this (in one of the trials, it urge you so). Expend it all is not good, BUT there’s a perk that gives you 15% weapon damage when iron halo is cooling down. Combine that with the one that give you 15% damage when using iron halo and your damage bonus is up almost 100% of the time, Good for mowing down anything in firing lane.
How do people keep playing the operations? Isn't it kinda stale after a few weeks of maxing out? Legit question
The dodge parry doesn't work for me. It only comes out halfway and doesnt complete the parry swing
Are you holding down dodge the whole time? Basically you have to hold down dodge and then just spam the parry button. It was working for me this morning.
Returning after a while off from the game. That parry trick is great. Seems like it is an unintended movement bug? If so, i hope they consider making it a mechanic by balancing it a bit instead of just patching it.

Pressing 2 button in sequence, and you masteres the class. To think i tought that you need to land headshots and eliminate important targets to be a good sniper. How silly of me.
I play almost the exact same build but I have 2 questions. On the hammer perk tree, why do you take the raw 5% damage instead of the 10% against Majoris ? It's not needed against the minoris, and in the latest difficulties you encounter a lot of Majoris. Is it to deal more easily with the Extremis ? On the Assault perk tree, I'm not a big fan of the 20% damages on Terminus. It will be used only once or maximum twice if you do the Hive Tyrant operation. And if you face a Neurothrop it's even more limited has you won't be able to use it during all the fight. Do you find that it makes your game much easier ?
I use to always take the majors one as well.. Recently started testing the 5%, its nice cause you really only lose 5% against majors but gain 5% on extremis and terminus. Still testing it both are good.
@@MoProduktions Thanks for the answer, at the moment my main concern in lethal difficulty are the extremis, so maybe with the buff on the blocking hammer I can afford to have a bit less damages on the Majoris. I'll try it that way and see if that suit my gameplay.
The stalker did get a small buff. I think they increased damage by 10%. It was back when they buffed all the bolter guns like you mentioned. I also agree plasma incinerator is probably the second best gun in the tactical arsenal after the grenade launcher. The rate of fire one is really good. It has 3 charged shots before it over heats but if you hit all 3 shots it will put a majoris in execute. Also, because it's 3 shots till overheat, it allows you to mix in some melee combos as well. So it makes for some fun gameplay. My favorite combo is parrying a majoris and then gunstrike and then hipfire a plasma shot right into their chest while they are stunned from the gunstrike. With the fast rate of fire version with some of the charging speed perks you can get a charge shot off while they are stunned.
How do you do the double slam with the charged attack?? I have the +1 and still can’t do it.
It's automatic, so if it's not working it's either you have hit a bug or that you don't have the right perk on the Hammer perk tree (first perk in relic on the bottom line).
Assault is 10.0 when skill cap reached.
Every class is 10 when you reach skill cap bro. Game isn't that hard

Hammer is the only weapon I like block on because it's strong enough to get away with giving up several mechanics.
Chainsword is really good too. I got great success with Block version with Tactical, Vanguard and Bulwark. I prefer block hammer for the Assault though.
Chainsword and hammer are great for block but id recommend balance for the powerfist and sword.
@@Cmaximus7 Sadly I have too agree. Powerfist and Powersword feels underwhelming in damage department.
Was waiting for someone to do this. Can you go into the block timing and the block mechanics to show how the block itself along with timing differs to the parry, along with the AOE dmg buff breakdown?

It does. Even works on Heavy.
Block weapons in general just arent worth it. TTK on parry - gunstrike is much quicker
You shouldn't use this. It will take you a long time to get out of the habit when the developers fix it. This is exploitation of a mechanics bug.
And that what makes the game fun. Being able to cancel animations has always been a part of this game, the devs are pretty trigger happy to nerf things but seem to succumb to pressure whenever they do something actively stifling fun.

Ohh thanks, I'll try this, for some reason I have huge issues getting blocking to work well on anything other then Vanguard and Bulwark.
Sounds like Vanguards Block and Parry window increase by 50% perk, but with extra steps. Neat.
Im thinking buying the game because it looks really awesome, can anyone recommend me The Best classes to play/start now after this update?
I suppose it's gamepad only tech because on keyboard I just don't have this much fingers on my left hand to pull it off. So I'll stick with just good block timings)

The GL just looks good because the rest is so underwhelming. Oh you want to play with a bolter? Sure it takes 2 magazines to kill something... I do use other weapons because i like the challenge, but i end up just making gunstrikes anyway and forget i had a primary in the first place.
Love GL and Melta but Stalker is the connoisseur’s choice for damage and difficulty.
The heavy bolt seems better after last patch
I prefer the heavy bolt or auto bolt to nade launcher anyways. I like getting melee and hipfiring while I parry shit 😂
yes. both seems better choices now, better than the carbine. Only the Stalker rivals them
If you like that playstyle, you should try the plasma incinerator with the faster rate of fire. Since it overheats after 3 charged shots it basically requires you to mix in some melee while you wait for it to cooldown. A good combo when its overheated is melee > parry > gunstrike > hipfire charged plasma. It feels great!

@feircy yea it can be a bit fickle. But you can also aim and charged shot alternatively. The hipfire just feel good for some reason 😁

My only gripe with plasma is that you need to select a perk for it which hampers your other 2 loadouts so you must only commit to it to get maximum damage output. If only perks were tied to loadout too.
Yea i agree i hope they implement perk swaps with loadout changes so you can set the relevant perk for the loadout. This is particularly noticable on sniper since each type of gun requires a different perk setup.

I dont think the gl is op at all either. They could make it so you only get a half mag every 30 seconds but at lethal you are fucked and you cant use it anymore if they nerf the damage. If you are only gonna get nerfing the gl then the only weapon yiu can use is melta and plasma incinerator. Which is atlest as powerful as the grenades. You do have to predict enemy movements and be able to hit your targets with the grenade. So I dont ser the problem. They can remove the bug that makes the damage stack after executing an enemy majoris giving +25%dmg and other things that makes it one-shot bosses of course. But outside of that? You are fucked if you dont have any grenades if a massive wave hits you and there are snipers, grenade launcher guards and 2 heads. The whole point with tactical only having auspec that increases damage is so you dont need to run up in the face of the enemy but hold them at a somewhat safe distance just like the heavy class with heavy bolter
So no 1 will be using this gun soon after the nurf it and it was one of the only good bolter guns shame
All Plasma Rifles are charged shot versions!? I recommend the fast fire rate, it charges much faster and is by far the best option unless you need sustained fire vs a boss or something. Once I got used to the fast fire Plasma I can't stand the other options anymore.
I don't honestly think the GL is OP at all. Especially after the 5.1 ammo nerf. It's hard to get off grenades when you're being mobbed by minoris, definitely better against chaos though.

The GL is way OP. I did notice that it only gets back half the grenades instead of all of them, which is a good nerf, but even still, it still out performs everything else the way it is. It's just not as OP as it used to be. It made me pick it back up again because now it requires a little bit of skill to manage your grenades properly and when you're out you can auspex scan and 1 shot headshot kill a majoris to get more. But still having 6-7 grenades every 30 seconds is pretty crazy especially since it not only stuns everything that it hits it also kills majoris with 3 grenades and you can spam them where as other guns you will either overheat and force you to stop shooting or it takes a while to charge the shot and you can't regenerate the ammo as easily. Without the emperors vengeance perk it would be the worst weapon for sure but because of that perk its just way too powerful.
I don't use this thing anyway, so I don't care. Only better if there would be less stunlocking grenade spammers, assaults will breath freely.

Heavy Bolt Rifle, FTW!
Man I would frickin love a Heavy Bolt Rifle buff. I it deserves it. I don't even use the grenade launcher, but outside of that and the melta, the plasm incinerator is the only really solid pick. Playing HBR now is very fun, but also feels like challenge mode. It just isn't as good as the others. This would give tactical some real options to play around with.
used it to get my lethal clears for the helmet. don't really use it anymore since it is a bit too OP even with only 1/2 nades refilled now. 7 nades every 30 secs is still a bit much =
Wasn't that planned for patch 7.0? Judging by current pace it will take half a year and another 2-3 months of bug fixing.
Likely two months. Remember, it takes them an entire month to update the game for minimal bug fixes and introducing a cut content map. Right now we're at 5.1, so assuming they keep up the monthly pace then in two months.
In patch 5.1 they kinda nerfed the GL. Emperor’s vengeance perk only refills a max of 7 grenades instead of a entire “magazine”. So a weak nerf but in their announcement it seemed like they were gonna do the nerfs in baby steps.
i don't always use the granade laucher but they already nerfed the ammo refil perk to get half
