    Voice Teacher, Eric Bruner, takes you through a quick 15 minute vocal warm-up for the male voice. This voice warm-up for the men's voices includes the 3 elements of a complete, effective vocal warm-up to prepare you for a rehearsal, performance or just singing for fun in your house or car!
    A good warm-up enables singers to sing more comfortably throughout their vocal ranges, prevents strain, and allows their voices to remain free for a longer singing session.

    Eric teaches a technique that shows you how to sing the high notes, allowing vocal access to the upper range without strain, without cracking, and with great control.

    As a transman on HRT, this has been really helping me get my range back after my voice deepened. I was scared my singing voice would be ruined forever but this is giving me hope that I can develop a good male singing voice.

      The range will won't be affected a lot for most on HRT. I'm glad the exercises have been helpful!

    I have done these exercise before but one thing a lot of vocal teachers lack is the order in the way to do the exercises or the placement or strength or how to properly punch the notes and you good sir are a great vocal teacher I can tell. Thank you for the video!

    • @singwithpower
      @singwithpower  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, Valentin. Thanks for your comment. Just singing through some exercise notes don't improve the voice, doing them in a very specific way WILL improve the voice. Some don't like all of my talking, but I think it is crucial. Thanks again, and Happy Singing!

    • @singwithpower
      @singwithpower  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great comment. This warm-up works just as well for basses and baritones as much as tenors. Just wait until the highest patterns go by and jump back in when they start coming down. This is a general warm-up for all males, but if you don't push for the highs, you'll be fine. There's no need to go as high as the piano! Happy Singing!

    What is a good recommended time to do vocal warmups each day? How long should a man sing songs each day? I find myself getting a little sore after 1-2 hours of singing..obviously I have to get past this to sing gigs as they are usually about 4 hours.

    • @singwithpower
      @singwithpower  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anytime is fine. Your voice might respond differently at different time of the day, so I would do warm-up at different times so that you get used to how your voice warms up at any time.

    When I do nays my voice tends to screech, so I can't really reach these notes. Going up I notice that my voice sounds unstable and squeezed. What can I do to fix this, cause I reach these notes but they don't sound nice

    • @singwithpower
      @singwithpower  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the question, Bernard! There is no need to follow the notes all the way to the top. Only go as high as is fairly comfortable. I cover all the range because it is a general warm-up for all male voices, so there are guys with very high and very low voices. There's no need to push it! Thanks for sharing your concern. Happy Singing!

    I cant trill or roll the tongue at alll, or do lip bubble, all I can do is blow air like the vee thing.. why is that? And how is the correct exercises done? In the 2 year college, we just did the yawn/sigh thing, and up and down some scales..

    • @singwithpower
      @singwithpower  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is ok if you can't do the trill or bubble. Stick with the V if that's easier. Many teachers do warm-ups without any real idea of what they should be doing with the voice. They just go through the notes. Doing the warm-up correctly is crucial. Here is a video on the 3 essential elements of a good warm-up: th-cam.com/video/lqWQi5jg3o8/w-d-xo.html

    Great great exercises frist time I do blowfish and soon I am light headed.

    • @singwithpower
      @singwithpower  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you get light-headed on the blowfish, you are probably letting out too much air. Be sure that you have back-pressure against the cheeks to keep a tiny stream of compressed air releasing. That should also help free up the throat as well.
