This week with my students we discussed the importance of warming up, not just to avoid injury but to extend your range. We did your 6 minute warmup and then we did this one the next day. They were so surprised at how much easier it was to hit the high/lows and how much better they sounded. NOW they understand the importance!
What a wonderful warmup. I've done this every day for the last week and my voice feels better than ever! My two year old likes to sing along to key parts, especially the "moooo"!
EXCELLENT! The range is so useful to work with. At one point I just wanted to sing off the page, and then around 14, you took the range higher, which was just wonderful. Even though I can comfortably work between D6 and F6, I know lower notes are very important too and I fully agree with you about extending beyond lower and higher ranges, if you can, of course. A super warm up. THANK YOU SO MUCH KATHLEEN.
As a guy with a large range, I found it helpful doing each exercise in your range then over again an octave lower. This was a tremendous warmup video. Best that I've seen and I've clicked through a Lot of these every day
I’m SO GLAD I found your channel. Thank you for putting your knowledge on TH-cam. It’s really helping me come back after a 4 month long break from singing. I’m feeling more confident to return to gigging, as our tourist season starts soon. Much appreciation, from Palm Springs, CA.
Thank you so much for this wonderful warm-up. I sing in church and barbershop so I need this warm-up! I am "bringing" you with me to our competition this weekend so I can sing my best!
Hi Kathleen! I love all of your warmups, found you a few a weeks agos! Have you any videos or tips on how to breathe silently. I love how you can barely hear your breath. I have a bad habit of huffing at the start of every line
