    Wow, I just got 5 percent all around on my vehicle. I was wanting to tint the windshield, but didn't want all the attention that gets from law enforcement. The 70 percent ceramic is definitely the way to go for that! I can't believe that the 5 percent did so poorly in that test, I feel like it's much cooler with the 5 percent versus nothing, but it almost seems like that does little to nothing with that test you did! Thanks for the great video!

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it really depends on the line of film. A Ceramic will block out more heat than just a dark film. Just helping people understand why Ceramic costs more.
      70% is a nice film that works and like you said might help keep the law from tripping to much.

    Just had my car done-- 70 windshield and front, 5 rears. Outside looking in on the 70, you can see a slight tint. Will it cops care especially here in California? I doubt it. Inside looking out? Amazing! It's like viewing HDR in your car. You would probably need to go darker than 70 on the windshield if you are sensitive to bright lights coming at you. Doesn't do a whole lot to dim HID and bright LED headlights but cut the glare at bit.

    Thats a good selling pitch " when we are young we want Darker tint" in reality 3m tint has different % of shade but all have the same quality of protection. I have 3m tint on all my windows. I have 70% on wield shield 50% on side doors ( driver and passenger) then 20% for my 4 back windows. Its literally light and day in the summer keeping out heat and keeping warm in winter. The front window for 3m for front wield shield is $300 to $500 just for that window fyi. But its worth it because that's where most sun hits. His a good sales person tho. I would said it differently as a sales person myself, I would have said "being younger we just want tinted windows for show but not for quality but the 3m isn't just tint but a item that will improve your vehicle in the summer from the heat staying cool and staying warm in winter". Then break it down further. Because regular tint is useless in my opinion it only provides shade but no heat reduction but 3m provides all around protection with all shades.

    70 percent ceramic tint over factory 20 is equal to about 14 percent tint. So basically, you could add a 15% tint on the front side Windows to make them look like they match!

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes but I'm using this to show how 70% can benefit everyone being applied to a full windshield.
      Also 70% Ceramic over the rear on SUVs and Minivans because a lot of older people don't want to go dark but this will help keep the interior cooler.
      I do install a lot of 15% Fronts for another shop, but I myself use 20% and most of my customers are happy with it.

    I have formula one ceramic tints on all of my cars (including 50 on the windshield). I wanted to get ceramic on my moonroof/sunroof but I was told that it is not advisable as ceramic absorbs heat. Hello. I recently got 3M ceramic IR 50% windshield tint. Last year, however, I got 3M Color Stable on the side and rear windows. As far as heat rejection goes, is it worth removing the color stable (nano carbon) film on the side and rear windows and installing ceramic film on the rest of the car? I have 35% on the front side and 5% on the rear windows. Will I feel a noticeable difference or should I save the money and keep the nano carbon film on the other windows or upgrade them to ceramic like I have on my windshield?

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a good question. In the past I had Ceramic on the Full Windshield and Carbon on the sides.
      If you feel like the sides or rear still feels hotter compared to the Windshield I'd say yes change the sides. If you don't seem to notice I'd leave it.
      Driving into the sun with a Dyed Film on my windshield back in the day my hand would be hot. I switched to Ceramic and I could tell my hand on the steering wheel stayed cool.

    Do you install carbon ceramic tint or dyed ceramic tint?

      I install Carbon and Ceramic. Some of the Gen 4 Dyed stuff is a good product. I just found what works best for my Market and pricing. Some of the Dyed colors I don't care for as much either. I like a dark black looking film.

      @@FadeToBlackLLC will 50% attract attention from the police? I have 35% on all other windows.

      @@ItsCreates well you will have tint where your not supposed to. So I can't say either way? Some have good luck and some people don't. No way to know if you'll attract more attention?

    I think I need something like this as I suffer from severe ight sensitivity, that means UV lights, the new Ledheadight, and even Florescent lights are quite bothersome to my eyes. Can I still get a dark tinted visor strip along with the clear 70° ceramic?

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I put Visor strips over Full windshields all the time.

    I just got a 40 percent ceramic tint done on my windshield today. I have 20 percent all around my car. Is there any chance it will get darker?

    • @Reedith
      @Reedith 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You mean like over time will your current tent that get darker ?
      No
      If you want darker you have to get darker installed

    • @FadeToBlackLLC
      @FadeToBlackLLC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No it won't get any darker like Reedith said. If it's not dark enough for you then add another shade to make it darker. Thanks for watching.

      This video was uploaded over a year ago. Some including myself like to plan out things on my vehicles for the upcoming year. There have been advancements in the Technology of window films that people can consider doing in the future.
      Thats why I said 2020 when it was upload last time if that makes sense?
