I can't believe he was willing to kill an entire plane. And he DID. There were innocent people, children...he didn't care. That's what's so disturbing to me, I think. (Also Mort did fantastic!!)
Worse (in a weird way,) he did it for the woman he ``loved?'' Yet, when police were closing in, he told her to kill herself and leave a note exonerating him?! Why didn't HE kill HIMself and leave a note exonerating HER, if he loved her so much?! Edited to add: yet another messed-up, ``fatherless'' man. (You say his dad died when he was five?)
@@quickchris10comcast Yeah, THAT! "Here's what we'll do..you kill yourself and leave a note saying YOU blew up the plane!" "Yeah, how about 'no'." What dumbass thought THAT would be a good idea???
One of the things I find most disturbing about this case actually isn't related to the killer, but it's the fact that if the airline wasn't so concerned about having to pay the families of the victims then the deaths of 19 innocent people would've probably been dismissed as you said, as "one of those things". Makes me wonder how many cases in the world where innocent people lose their lives are ignored because there isn't a financial aspect to it.
Welcome to the world, little dove! Insurance always runs it! You know police pursue bank robbers harder and longer than smash-n-grabs, even if the smash-n-grabbers killed someone and the bank robbers did not, don't you? It depends on how much liability respective insurance companies incur. The Fed's insurance does not want to reimburse bank customers for their stolen cash. Probably a bigger amount than the convenience-store cashier's life was insured for.
That would be because the amount of Sociopaths and Psychopaths that are in the top positions of companies and government. Basically anything that has a ounce of power attracts and infact looks for the qualities these types have as heads of the companies.
I also wonder how many disasters have an extra set of remains they can't amount for, but having it be dismissed because of the assumption that it was a bystander or something to that affect. I've also seen stories of exhumations where towns are moved to make way for a Dam or road & they find an extra corpse in the grave. People will use any excuse to hide their crimes. It's sad.
I'm fairly new to this channel, but I've noticed the occasional derogatory comment complaining that it's "a documentary for the blind", presumably because it isn't chock-full of filmed moving pictures. While I definitely respect their viewpoint - YT is, after all, a combined audio & visual platform - personally I find it rather refreshing not to be continually bombarded with flashy (though hopefully pertinent!) imagery, so I can just concentrate on these fascinating stories instead. Like many people, I often "watch" YT videos before trying to sleep. However, as a longterm chronic insomniac, this is an absolute no-no! The blue light emitted by an iPad screen is terrible for circadian rhythm disorder, as it interferes with the natural production of sleep hormone, melatonin. Having a wife and a mistress in British society was far too common in this time period and the wife was generally the neglected one. How does a patient in the hospital get hold of a bottle of sleeping pills ?? In the US all meds are kept under lock and key in the hospitals.

Oh, I wonder about that. Being made to choose between general population or solitary confinement, you're either forced to play with the real animals that shouldn't be out in normal society, or be made to stare at a wall for 23 hours a day. By the time they're let out, the best decades of their lives have been stripped away, and they have no way to bury their misdeeds the way they could before the Information Age. In some ways, sure, it's seen as a slap on the wrist. But for the people that truly see the writing on the wall, they're more or less forced to just end themselves, as they're stuck in a society that actively repels them at every turn, with no hope for redemption. Plenty of people would basically see it as a permanent checkmate scenario, with no end in sight. Criminals like Dahlia Dipolito, whose only real strengths were her youth and charm, will be thrust back into the world as hideous aging spinsters that no one could ever feel even a twinge of love for ever again. Is it adequate punishment? Maybe not for all the criminals involved. But living with mistakes of such magnitude isn't necessarily a mercy, either.

I loved when the narrator said "Brief case is unfortunately not feeling well today". Pretty much like a horror movie. Did you kill Brief Case with a butcher's knife? LOL
The way he said that intro made it feel like he murdered his friend, if there was a brief pause between “unfortunately feeling” and “unwell” would’ve added a bit of an unnerving/uneasy feel to it, but none the less sent delicious shivers down my spine. I really like mortis’s voice

I live in Montreal myself. Several years ago while driving for Fedex, I got a call to do a pickup at the old Bordeaux jail. Although it hadn't been used in such a long time, the old gallows where Guay and 84 others were executed was still there. Being an old crime buff, I was in my glory while standing 20 feet from where so many good murder stories ended.
The fear those poor people must have felt. Horrible people. I’m new to the channel, but I’m obsessed and it relaxes me when I go to bed. Both BC ant Mortis voices are calming. Also love the vintage stories!
That was quite an elaborate plan just to kill his wife, and part of his plan was to take the lives of all those innocent people to get that done. That man had no heart.
It's Sunday evening and I'm waiting for Silent Sunday to come on TCM. So I'm bingeing once again on Brief Case. I like to rewatch, in case I missed something the first time. Cheers Mortis Media, you did just fine, just fine.
Good narration, Mort. Fascinating that this guy would go that far, involve as many people as he did, and thought he'd get away with it. Tragedy all around.
Thank you for posting these stories, I love nostalgic 'true crime' stories on a psychologist aspect I never understood why ppl do what they do, find it interesting.
What a story! This is the most interesting one yet. How could he just have been charged for killing his wife. He killed all the passengers. Nonetheless, for him to get out of a marriage is absolutely mad!
What?? He was charged only for killing his wife? And all the other people on the plane that died instantly in the explosion? Did the judge think they suddenly decided to die? They didn't explode themselves. Nobody was held responsible? No mention on who was charged for this enormous loss of life... investigators, courtroom, not even the narrator... Maybe this information was not available while researching in the archives, but in this case it should have been explained, as a matter of respect for the men, women and children who perished in a senseless murder...
I can't believe he was willing to kill an entire plane. And he DID. There were innocent people, children...he didn't care. That's what's so disturbing to me, I think. (Also Mort did fantastic!!)

This guy. "I have a great idea how to get us out of this - *you* commit suicide, and I go on living!". I mean, what?? Unbelievable, the whole thing. And so tragic.
Nice of you to step up to help, Mort :) Glad BC is well again :)
Hello BC I followed Mort over. And have been looking over your videos. I am looking forward to watching them all! Get well soon.
TY I hope you like them :)
I always love listening to Brief Case! They’re interesting stories from history. Thanks!
The bit about the propellers bending is really interesting
Really enjoyed listening to your channel.. Such interesting stories.. Thanks ♥
I love listening to your cases…. Thank you for filling in on the delivery, your pronunciation skills astound me!
I'm from Quebec and I've never heard of this case before! It's always fascinating for me to hear about cases from my part of the world. Thank you.
Excellent job by this narrator filling in. I enjoy these briefcase stories because I like to listen to them in my car while I’m driving and I like not having all of the video to be distracted by when I can just plug this into the audio jack and listen to my hearts content.
fascinating story well told. Are you sure that no one has been slipping arsenic in Mr Brief Cases's tea. Everyone seems to be at it these days. We don't want to lose him!!!!
Thanks Mort and BC. Hope you feel better sir! So glad our friend Mort was there to help. Is it a double shot of you finite mate? Or taking a break from your channel? I am so far behind haha.😛 Boy these people who are so arrogant that they disregard completely innocent strangers to kill ONE person who is a "problem" to them....ugh!😕😢💔
Great job Mort! Feel better Brief! Love both of your channels!
Another wonderful job! Thanks a bunch!
Thank you so much for your stories cases, and I love your British voice.
Mort this is so awesome for you to be a substitute narrator. I'm looking forward to listening to the video. 😀
Another really interesting story. Thank you💚
Great job, Mort! I hope our narrator has recovered by now. 〰💙 Time bombs in planes...why do we never hear about these cases? I mean, I know it was a while ago, but that's still crazy scandalous.
Nice job. Thank you for sharing this story.
Thankyou for watching
Thanks to Brief Case for researching this story and to Mortis for narrating it. Get well soon please and much love to you and yours
Gosh! People r cruel.
Good job. U did well helping your friend. Great voice. Great commentary. Great documentary
You are such a fabulous story teller. Thanks so much. 😚
I love the sound of your voice, and I have always been interested in true crime stories. Thank you for this awesome channel!
These videos remind me of some popular magazines my grandparents would buy in the 70s. I think I improved my reading skills by reading them myself. I only remember the name of one, True Detective. I guess I'm still interested in stories of murder because I find your videos fascinating.
Well done Mort... I was totally drawn in. Thank you 👍 💚🦊
Thanks Mort! Great story as always. Hey brief case I just want to say I hope you feel better soon!
Excellent narration mortis!! Thumbs up 👍👍
Not only was the killer absolutely ruthless - but I can't believe that his friend and her brother just went along and helped him like that. I mean - wtf?!
Sick sick sick!! Well done☺ keep up the hard work😁
There are some seriously sick chickens among us... Thank you for your clear narration! I am hearing impaired and sometimes have trouble following a story, especially when there are no sub-titles available.
Feel better Brief Case ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ I was confused for a moment when Mortis Media voice came on thanks for having his back Mort and giving us our BC fix! ;) love ya guys but I hope you are feeling better BC sooner not later hun sending positive vibes & healing thoughts to you. Blessed be
TY so much :)
Excellent thank you. So glad I’ve found this channel
"Guay" is pronounced "Gay"
Otherwise - well done !!
I live in the province and this is part of history to us
I live in Montreal myself.
An interesting and unusual case. I've heard of this before, but it was good to be reminded of it. Thanks to both of you!
Thanks for listening
The fear those poor people must have felt. Horrible people.
I’m new to the channel, but I’m obsessed and it relaxes me when I go to bed. Both BC ant Mortis voices are calming. Also love the vintage stories!
Great job on narrating. Sorry you were sick but nice your friend took over. He did a nice job.
Thanks for listening
Hope you feel better soon, Mr. Brief Case! Hiya Mortie! 🙋
Who buys a crucifix and makes payments for three years?
Hello, I think maybe it was just the jewellery on instalment plans :)
Back in the day.......
Misfit from toy island.: Anyone who charges that much for a crucifix must be pretty *rood.*
@@timothymccaskey4362 Lol! I see what you did there 👍 ✌
Who? Someone you probably you wouldn't want to _cross_
lol
That was quite an elaborate plan just to kill his wife, and part of his plan was to take the lives of all those innocent people to get that done. That man had no heart.
It's Sunday evening and I'm waiting for Silent Sunday to come on TCM. So I'm bingeing once again on Brief Case. I like to rewatch, in case I missed something the first time. Cheers Mortis Media, you did just fine, just fine.
Hi , heard of you from mr Mortis so I decided to check it out.
Found your channel from Mortis Media, and you have yourself a new subscriber
Thanks
Good narration, Mort. Fascinating that this guy would go that far, involve as many people as he did, and thought he'd get away with it. Tragedy all around.
Aaah!!! Hey Morty!! Barely found this channel. Thanks for fillin in!!
Thank you for posting these stories, I love nostalgic 'true crime' stories on a psychologist aspect I never understood why ppl do what they do, find it interesting.
Well done Mort. Hope BC is back with us soon and in fine fettle.
What a story! This is the most interesting one yet. How could he just have been charged for killing his wife. He killed all the passengers. Nonetheless, for him to get out of a marriage is absolutely mad!
You did a great job, love you both! ❤️
Thanks
Outstanding work !
I love these I go to bed listening to em every nite they relax and calm me for some reason 😩💯🤷♀️
This is the best channel named after a pun ever.
Pumped I found this channel, so macabre, love you stuff!
Thanks, This video was narrated by the brilliant Mortis Media
Hi thankyou for your excellent narration enjoyable story again! Best wishes brief case x
Thank you Mortis Media and Brief Case! Such People killing for the fun of it? Helping him get rid of his wife....?
WOW what a story ! Good job👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Awesome video! I’m 🇨🇦 and hadn’t heard of this!
Thank you Mort for making my nightshift fun.
Thank you. Well read.
TY Mortis Media, great read!! Get well soon BC!!!!!
