Just did this today! Lovely walk in weather not unlike what you had there.. 2 hours 5 mins. Your dog is 100% full send the whole time, don't know how she has the energy!
Hello Linda, after watching your video last week, it planted the seed for me to attempt and climb Ben Rinnes the next day ( I live about 25 miles away ). In lovely weather, I managed to get to the summit ( out of condition and not a hill walker you understand! ) After an hour resting and taking in the spectacular views I started making my way back down. On the way on one of the plateau stages I met this lady ascending with her dog, she was wearing a big sun hat, I was convinced it was you from afar, her dog was the exact same as Brora, even with same colour harness. Well of course it turned out it wasn`t you, in our conversation the lady said she was heading for the summit also and was going to check out your channel. Anyway, thought I`d report in, my calves are still sore after their punishment! I have now watched several other of your videos and have enjoyed them all very much, keep the videos coming, thank you very much!
I’m so glad you got to the summit and enjoyed the views. Maybe that’s the start of many hills for you. Some of the best views are not from Munros but lower summits. The more you climb, the easier it gets. Glad you’re enjoying some of the other videos. I have some good ones coming soon. Take care & thanks for watching. 👍
Hi Linda, I really like your videos. It will remember me on lovely times in Scotland. I hiked on Ben Rinnes at the end of april this year. I started in Dufftown which is about 7 kilometers away from the car park. The whole round Dufftown - Ben Rinnes - Dufftown was about 22 kilometers. It was still some snow on top of Ben Rinnes, but the sun was shinning and the views were amazing from the top of Ben Rinnes. Looking foreword to your next video(s). Greetings from Germany...
Have done Ben Rinnes many times when staying at Sandend between Portsoy and Cullen. More recently seen from when in the Cairngorms, so happy memories. If you want a nice place to stay Sandend has a brilliant beach.
I’ve stayed in an old cottage for a week at Sandend about 25 years ago when my son & daughter were small. We saw dolphins & had a great time on that same beach. Great memories for me there. Thanks for watching. 👍
Thanks Paul, it’s easy one. Just watch if you do it with Paddy, Brora chased after a hare. I didn’t see it but she apparently kept up with it for a while! 🐶
Im always afraid I loose him through chasing something! the only thing about paddy is his small stature! he is lucky to be able to see anything over the Heather!😀. Brora looks much more energetic too! @@LindaOutdoors
Loved the vlog I have climbed this when it was so windy but great views. You are pretty close to me there. I’m about 35 mins away. Would you ever climb Bennachie there are a few peaks and such a special hill. Thanks for sharing. xx
Think you’d love it, you can do all the peaks and make it about a 4 hour walk or just up and down, mither tap is quite a steep one, craigshannock is my favourite, met my partner walking up there 5 years ago on 31st August ❤. Have a lovely week. xx
We were up their recently and Ben Rinnes was one we were looking at but it was in a cloud for the 3 days we were there so we just got oot n aboot and did other things 😊 good tae see Brora zig zag her way tae the top 😂
Brilliant video as usual Linda😍..Myself and the Stripey Hat Guy were meant to be going up there today unfortunately decided not to go as the wind speed was too high…Watching your video I was wondering if an E-bike could get to the summit quite easily as it looks a gradual ascent and the path looks pretty good?..Excellent video. Cheers Robert
Hi Linda, lovely video, nice to see you and Brora out on the bigger slopes again. It’s looking lovely out at the moment with the heather in full bloom isn’t it? 😀⛰🥾

Great wee walk Linda 🥾 looks very like Tinto 🏔️ Brora certainly enjoyed it 🐶 atb Brian 👍
Thanks Brian, think it’s the rounded shape & heather that makes it look like Tinto. Interesting wee summit with the tors. 👍

Thanks Robert, not sure about the E bike, maybe ok for the majority of it but the last section is stepped & steep. It’s a great hill. Enjoy. 👍
