I worked on that footpath back in ‘97-98. For the northerly part we camped at Red Point in august and the midgies were foul. For the southern leg we stayed at Diabaig in February and walked daily to the main site near the Bothy. Great to see the path in fair condition.
Such a spectacular place walked that track back in 2000 when it was a youth hostel camped on the beach at the front of the building and had a wee dram with the warden at the time
Ahh, that must have been fab Robert. I’ve not been down to the beach there. Glad to see the building is in a much better state than my previous visit. 👍
I bet you can't wait to get wee Brora on the big hills. I remember training our boy as a puppy on lowland walks, we are off to our holiday cottage at the top of glen Torridon in a few weeks, can't wait 😀 Great video as always, hope you are enjoying puppy time 👍
I always wondered what the building at Craig was like. There are so many remote buildings in the Scottish Highlands that would make great Bothys. The scenery around the coastline of Loch Torridon is amazing. We were at Shieldaig earlier this year where the coastline is very similar with great views over to Beinn Alligin. Thanks for sharing.
Love watching your videos Linda and watching the bond grow between you and Brora. That wee kiss she gave you at the end of the video.... melts yer heart ♥️
Walks to bothies are one of my favourite adventures. Recently wandered from Overphawhope to Dryfe but needed to be dropped off and picked up. It was a fantastic traverse in the Southern Uplands, around 14 miles.
Meant to head over to Lower Diabeg when we were up at Shieldaig but just never got about to it, great vlog makes me want to do the walk now 😊. Dunk fae Oot n aboot wi us 🏴
Lovely video Linda, thank you. I have had the good fortune of visiting Diabeg and Lower Diabeg, and what a beautiful part of Scotland it is, what with Liathach and Beinn Alligin overlooking you. Now you have compleated your Munros, are we to see you on the Corbetts or Grahams? The videos would be wonderful.
Great views on the walk in to Craig. A work in progress when I visited, 5 yrs ago. The area is notorious for ticks, Lyme disease can be serious, hope you checked the hound Linda and yourself.
@@LindaOutdoors Yes Craig is special. As with a lot of MBA bothies easier to bring in materials by boat. The white building at the start of the path used to be a post office.
@@steveworthington930 interesting, Diabaig has special memories for me. My parents used to park up in their 🚐 in the 1970s just above the village to get views & sunsets. It was years before they realised the road went down to the village. 👍

It’s a lovely path, been along it twice. Many walkers including myself are very grateful for all the hard work that goes into maintaining it. 👍
another lovely video off you and brona awesum views Thank you Linda.
Thanks Andrew. 👍
Great video which brought back fantastic memories going and staying in Craig Bothy. What a beautiful dog you have.

"Exploded the bothy" - sounds like an adventure and a half!😂
Thanks. 👍

Thanks Jennifer, might be using one of those when I finish the Southern Upland Way. 👍
@@LindaOutdoors only 8 miles between them, in fact. Pick up point from Drfye adds a lot on. SUW much under rated. Some brilliant stretches.

Thanks. I may do a few Johnathan but will wait until Brora’s a bit older. Shorter walks for now. 👍

No ticks found. The last time I was there in 2016, the bothy was closed with ‘danger signs’. Great to see it renovated. 👍

Lovely video Linda. You thought you were walking to Craig Bothy........Brora looked liked she wanted to get there a little faster! Haha
Ha, ha! We’re working on the lead pulling! 😂
