    in Buddhism the first realisation is called stream entry, and lists three of ten fetters which are shed with that revelatory realisation. Thereafter, the stages of progress described by Rupert also develop, as we see further and develop the causes of further realisations, and awakening. yes there are stages of awakening, because the causes have to be assembled, for the last 'penny to drop'. An apple tree may have five red apples all looking ripe on the tree, but we cannot predict which apple will fall before the other, nor when it will fall. IN the same way, we cannot predict when the causes of awakening will have accumulated, but hard work, self honesty, and deep introspection onto the influence of the senses, our views, the conditioned nature of our views and reactions, emotions, their influence, and so on, to see how all of those processes are not self, and that only emptiness, luminous awareness is present constantly, the rest, is all coming and going.

    Absolutely true. Fortunately I have found this out 30 yrs into a marriage that is now dissolved. I thought I had lost my whole world when I called time on this ill fitting marriage, to still be living together 2 yrs later on exactly these new "terms" and I have never felt such relief, happiness and joy as when I chose to release another of what I believed only he was meant to bring me. We are not sexually intimate but this feeling has me feeling more intimacy than the day I married him strangely. I thought I'd lost love..but found a truer deeper version of it 🙏

    The first implication of realising your true nature is that you dont pay taxes anymore. But its not that point which matters, the important point is you begin to talk with that kind of voice, deep voice vibrating in the X plan of "reality". That is very important. Whatever you say, say it with a deep deep voice, and every body would be happy. Namaste.

    I'm pretty sure if you completely realize your true nature, not just intellectually but absolutely realize it 100%, then you exit at sahasrara and leave your body. Vivekananda's Guru predicted this about him. I'm convinced many many many spiritual people reach a level they haven't tasted before then think they are fully realized. Nothing wrong just I feel we should never believe we reached somewhere or attained something but rather keep seeking until we find the absolute real truth, not just words pointing to concepts that make logical sense and satisfy our intellectual curiosity but the absolute real truth which dissolves the longing to know something higher

  • @luccasfaun6686
    @luccasfaun6686 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Nicely said. True Altruism does not exist everything we do is to satisfy our own desires. Even if we are helping others and even if we are doing it "non profit" we still are doing it to satisfy Ourselves. People who do not realize this live the most unhappy lives because they constantly strive to "do good" to everybody else constantly forgetting their own needs.

    • @taf1981
      @taf1981 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Luccas Faun true ! I just would not type "satisfy Ourselves" with that capital O (haha) ; Ourself or "our Self" does not need to be satisfied, the plan in your example being only to satisfy the ego, which is not the Self, so we try to satisfy "ourselves" (as separate egoic entities). :D

    • @ernestweber5207
      @ernestweber5207 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Luccas Faun Lets simply say that we are selfish and we can probably come up with a host of reasons why we are and why it is practical. We can approach it as a normal way to function, or look at the limitations of that way of thinking and behaving as well as the illusory aspects of assuming that we actually could be or function without other people. In other words, no matter how self-centered we may be, existing as monad that is truly independent as self-sustaining is revealed to be a delusion, at the best.
      Well, that recognition and the acknowledgement of the pros and cons of a self centered approach to life can actually allow for insights into the problem and help us to find real benefits in not being constrained by a limited idea of being an encapsulated, separated "self" inside. We could say that our mind is not in our head, but our head is in our mind as an example.
      One way to deal with the dilemma of self cherishing, (which includes the problem of wanting to be seen as good or wanting to get something out of the process) is to simply expand the scope and dimension to include others within the definition. That is not difficult and it can easily yield an actual sensation or experience of opening up, which is more akin to our true nature in relative terms.

    • @d1427
      @d1427 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Ernest Weber i guess self cherishing won't be an issue any longer for the one who succeeds living/making real the theory of non-duality, i.e. that 'the head is in our mind', to use your example and that the mind is just a thought known by awareness and such cherishing the little self is just a misleading illusion that leads to suffering in the end.

      They are not forgetting their own needs, Lucas, as their prime drive to help others is their need and that's what they fulfil. Therefore they feel happy, till the time when this thing which made them happy, turns out to be the very thing that causes their pain later on. There's no such thing as the most unhappy life, for a comparison is your own lie.

    • @slavomirakrasna2111
      @slavomirakrasna2111 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Non-duality is just like you said a theory, concept. The fact is, that while people teach, try to understand, talk and seek non-duality, duality they live.

    All is one, there is not two.
    You know it already, you know it’s true.
    You can look and look but there’s nothing to find
    The truth’s just been hidden by the chatter of your mind.
    Oneness is here, now - not somewhere above
    Oneness is All, oneness is LOVE.
    See it and a smile on your face will appear
    Your life filled with JOY and nothing to fear.

    If we stop considering ourselves as separate entities, why would we seek to enter into intimate relationships with another (an other)? There would still have to be a me and a you for it to be considered a 'relationship' in the traditional sense. And why the need to express intimacy in this way at all if we are already one? Surely life itself would be the intimacy.

    Happiness comes from the ego being pampered, whereas sadness comes from these conditionings ( Superego ) but its the Spirit that gives us the JOY! Joy is a Singular! ego and Superego are the flipside of the same coin, " I like to drink but tomorrow I dont like the headache! " We like through the ego and dislike through the Superego! But joy is different Joy comes from the Spirit!

      +Vizvamurti emotions are just 'wishes'...unfulfilled wishes! But Love is different, love is dynamic, it is not an emotion, it acts!

    • @turyaboy
      @turyaboy 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Vizvamurti The only way to overcome the ego and super ego, is to achieve our Self Realisation, to BECOME the Self, our true Self, the Spirit, which we are, but also which we must BECOME! Becoming is the point! All the Scriptures have said this samething! Self Realisation, Where our Attention becomes enlightened by the Spirit, the Spirit comes into the attention, then we become the witness, the witness of this ego and these conditionings! We are no longer 'In it' like when we are in the sea, we are in it, but once we enter into the boat, then we become a witness of the sea and the sea then becomes an illusion! When we say "I like this" "I am happy" I,I,I ....who IS this 'I' , which is happy, or sad? ....it is the ego! We are ALL seeking something, but what we are truly seeking, is our Spirit! Because it's the Only thing that can give us 'Complete' peace and Satisfaction, because it's absolute! We become Innocent! Happiness and unhappiness is a duality, but JOY comes from the Spirit!

    • @slavomirakrasna2111

      One would easily be mislead, they are attending the church while reading this thread:/ The only way to save yourselves! The self! The spirit! The realisation! The almighty empty words:/ Joy doesn't come from spirit. Joy is the life itself. You yourself. What you perceive as you. Not your made up version of yourself, which you named graciously The spirit. And no sir, not everyone seeks.

      It is,perhaps, the sudden clarity one experiences while listening to Rupert Spira that brings out the expression ' amazing'. What he is saying may have already been said by many wise men before. But, when I listen to Rupert Spira , I feel I am explaining the thing to myself and then there is a sudden clarity and a sense of happiness.
