Subaru Forester’s career has been going on since the late 1990s, making it one of the longest-produced SUVs in the European (including Polish) market. To date, Subaru has already presented 5 incarnations of the Forester (the latest, the fifth, in 2019). The car has never faced an equal fight with rivals (more or less successful), at least when we take into account the sales results. The Forester, however, is a very thought-out and in its way unique car and the demand for it could have been slowed down by the highly calculated price. What is the strength of this model? In perfect, permanent 4-wheel drive (but only in conjunction with manual gearboxes), long-refined boxer engines (with a push-pull cylinder arrangement) and a functional, generously glazed body. The Forester is one of the few SUVs that are not afraid to drive off the asphalt. It can even be said that in worse conditions it feels better than on highways, where the scant isolation from external noises is revealed. Even though the body is up to 22 cm from the ground, the chassis and Subaru suspension (multi-link at the rear) keep it in check while quickly negotiating road bends, the car also remains very direct to drive. On the other hand, travelers will record each passing through a larger hole. pmlauto.com/en/subaru-forester-iv-2012-2019-reviews-used-cars-typical-faults/
I have fallen completely under her charm! :) A real natural beauty that I can see myself with around a camp fire, going to picnics, enjoying hot cocoa after a day of ski. She's dreamy, yet has a down-to-earth vibe! ...And I did buy a new Forester within the last month, but the steering wheel was on the other side! :)
Actually, it's an internet channel. It just happens to be based in the UK. I think many if not most of their viewers (including me) are not from UK, but since they do such a good job reviewing cars I subscribe to them. Maybe as a good gesture they should at least consider using both - MPG and l/100 km ... and all would be well in the world.
If you look at the official specs on the Forester regarding fuel consumption, the figures mentioned isn't quite fair ... the 28 mpg is for the petrol powered model with manual transmission in urban conditions - where the 49 mpg mentioned is for the diesel powered model with manual transmission in EX-urban conditions... you're comparing the wrong figures, miss!!
+jOE Mee And I've always wondered; why a banana why not an orange or an apple, considering that bananas are kind of phallic in nature... then she goes on to wear a short summer dress OMG
Did you really expect us to watch the car itself? I don't think I can think of one little detail about it after watching your video. I was too mesmerized! Oh Lord!
I have an 08 impreza wrx and I can say that almost every item in the interior of this car is identical to my wrx. That alone shows just how much subaru spends on r&d
Sorry, Rebecca, a CX-5 or a Ford Kuga are no match for the Forester. While the Forester may have a slightly higher fuel consumption, it does offer a way better and superior off road and all weather, all road conditions performance, that no other model, not even the CX-5 or Kuga, can offers. Actually, the Forester Symmetrical AWD, is a system that no other car maker can match, beside Audi Quattro or BMW X-Drive, and with that so efficient AWD, it is the best in class, even in fuel consumption.
my friend might get one. problem is that they most likely will get blue and there aunt has the same one. so if they get the wrong one home the have to drive 500 miles to get the own one.
I agree the Queens's English is long gone. I met some beautiful girl from Belfast and I could not understand a word she spoke. I had to ask her several times if she was speaking English. She understood me fully but frick I had no idea what she was saying.
i like the part where rebecca says estant as a cross between estate and avant. i also like the part where mat is constantly bleeping to the mercs satnav and when he is pretending to be ran over by the tiguan.
We don't buy gas, we buy petrol. US gallon aren't the same as UK gallons, so we don't even have the same numbers. Get a calculator if you don't understand mpg. We have to with 1/100km.
For my eyes forester looks better. And is more reliable, I believe. I know, that probably it isn't yours, but still I have to ask - is that bentley in your avatar your or not?
It just makes it into nice easy to understand numbers. 30mpg is kind of average for petrol. 40mpg is quite good. 60mpg for diesel... You get the picture. Just nice numbers easy to understand.
They need to test real world fuel consumption...in the real world the Forester is one of the best in fuel vs other models in it's class and almost noone haver permanent AWD like subaru and that stuff add weight and add to fuelconsumption.
I tried kuga ( not owned). as u said it doesn't feel like like an SUV but just a bigger hatchback. Grand vitara I owned one and have some issues with that. ( no reach for steering wheel , small boot space, poor fuel efficiency ) but nice offroader compared with Forester . sorry i forget to add. really costly to service
Maybe she's talking about the 'unpredictable' British winter, where you can go and visit friends in the country overnight and find the whole place under a foot of water the next day, like happened this last winter..I'd call that rough!
MPG is the standard measure of fuel economy. lb/ft is the standard measure of torque there are some measurements that are universally used because the Americans got there first.
Is it just possible that for once people can comment on the cars or the driving, rather than the predictable "I don't have a girlfriend so this is how I get off" type of remarks. Sad buggers.
Yeah, it looks beautiful. I really like how british cars look. If I had enough money, I probably would go for an Aston Martin :D O jaguar. Bentley, even looking really good, isn't for me, it is heavy and somehow "too serious", if you know what I mean.
The off-road test was one of the toughest I've seen.
1:24 She caught me red-handed!
Sam dude that is a golden comment hahaha
"Perfect for the rough British winter"
Me: *laughing in Swedish*
Me: laughs in Alaskan

Gotta love that sunroof view.
I have fallen completely under her charm! :) A real natural beauty that I can see myself with around a camp fire, going to picnics, enjoying hot cocoa after a day of ski. I love the way she expresses herself!
She had me at, "Enough of that and let's get driving." Yes ma'am, lets go!
😢
Its better My bro Matt does the reviews from now, Im having tough time concentrating on car.

That banana is always with her in every review. hmmm
+jOE Mee
And I've always wondered; why a banana why not an orange or an apple, considering that bananas are kind of phallic in nature... then she goes on to wear a short summer dress OMG
In this review with this dress code Becca looks like really good teenager helping old people cross the street ... and look cute and adorable :)
@0:21 Oh the irony when she's commenting the "boot" being a decent size. lol I love that boot!
I said “why yes it is!”
And we can confirm that Rake loves it!
Two people in 7 years have 'got' this comment.
Why she is so beautiful?
Gosh i almost gotcrazy with British ladies...auch!
Did you really expect us to watch the car itself? I don't think I can think of one little detail about it after watching your video. I was too mesmerized! Oh Lord!
0:22 "The boot is a decent size." Why, yes, the boot is a decent size. Let me look at the boot some more. More boot please.
So you're reviewing the one with a CVT. Just to let people know here they have standard automatic transmissions as well.
The unforgetable part of the all the review is BANANA...!!!!!
"... perfect for the rough British winter" - what rough British winter? :P
That aside - love the car! Subaru has always been one of my favorite cars.
winter 2017/2018 :))
Subaru isn’t just a car!
It’s a lifestyle 😎
I have an 08 impreza wrx and I can say that almost every item in the interior of this car is identical to my wrx. That alone shows just how much subaru spends on r&d
Car? What car?
It doesn't actually matter what units consumption is calculated in. They are just used as a comparison between different cars
Sorry, Rebecca, a CX-5 or a Ford Kuga are no match for the Forester. 0:57 pulls out a banana as an every day item. Maybe i have a dirty mind.
why can't you convert mpg into lkm? This review is designed primarily for the UK car market.
What car was it again?
Rebecca, Dont forget the Forester is the safer car in its segment, out of the premium brands.
Does she come with the vehicle?
+submissions72 Ohh you, hahahah
...what did you touch it ???
Does this Subaru come with the reviewer?? Can pay any amount.....
01:23 = the perfect angle good Lord!!!
why it look higher? isnt in the wagon division?
It now a international channel, a lot of people around the world like the videos of CarBuyer :)
If anything it should be miles per litre. I do agree the UK should switch fully to metric but it's a bit expensive to change everything.
I love lady's with British accent ... She is really adorable
Yea but mine didn't come with a "standard sunroof"😢
why turned on fog light when the weather was not foggy at all. Could be a habit for London people.
Kuga is not in the same class is it
can't link to the video for some reason, just use the search function on the channel, sorry
Good review. Looks very spacious. Thanks Rebecca.
How do you get "cvt whine" on a manual gearbox? :/
my friend might get one. problem is that they most likely will get blue and there aunt has the same one. so if they get the wrong one home the have to drive 500 miles to get the own one.
Dam it, I had to watch this twice, first time, I realised I'd been distracted and not looked at the car!!! ;o)
Rough british winters?
She must have a led foot. My wife is averaging over 30 MPG in mixed city/highway in the UDS version of the n/a 2.5.
I agree the Queens's English is long gone. I met some beautiful girl from Belfast and I could not understand a word she spoke. I had to ask her several times if she was speaking English. She understood me fully but frick I had no idea what she was saying.
as you can see, the boot is a decent size....
i like the part where rebecca says estant as a cross between estate and avant. i also like the part where mat is constantly bleeping to the mercs satnav and when he is pretending to be ran over by the tiguan.
OMG I fell in love, I want a Subaru Forester!
We don't buy gas, we buy petrol.
US gallon aren't the same as UK gallons, so we don't even have the same numbers.
Get a calculator if you don't understand mpg. We have to with 1/100km.
I want a subaru forester and of course...rebecca jackson too!
how old is she?
For my eyes forester looks better. And is more reliable, I believe. I know, that probably it isn't yours, but still I have to ask - is that bentley in your avatar your or not?
It just makes it into nice easy to understand numbers. 30mpg is kind of average for petrol. 40mpg is quite good. 60mpg for diesel... You get the picture. Just nice numbers easy to understand.
What's the fuss about using mpg? Just convert it with a simple google search.
Nothing colder than -5C but a surprising amount of snow nonetheless!
Subaru forester fourth generation launched in 2013 for 2014 but it was face.ifted in 2016 for 2017
oh i love her already :)
can you pls use liter per kilometer?
And mpgs in US and GB are different, so it's understandable only by UK viewers.
The boot is decent sized indeed/ I'd say more than decent.
Yes. Very admirable
Love her ascent
They need to test real world fuel consumption...in the real world the Forester is one of the best in fuel vs other models in it's class and almost noone haver permanent AWD like subaru and that stuff add weight and add to fuelconsumption.
Subaru are notorious for being awful on fuel, I've driven a few and they've all chugged it like it was water.
and yes, even the diesels.
The Forester gets better MPG than the Ford Escape or the Mazda CX5 in the US when equiped with all wheel drive.
yes, thats a briliant observation!
No up skirt?
Perfect for off road, as she drives down a driveway
Rough British winter ?????
Maybe she's talking about the 'unpredictable' British winter, where you can go and visit friends in the country overnight and find the whole place under a foot of water the next day, like happened this last winter..I'd call that rough!
She should have told us a lot more about the sunroof 😃
I'm not saying us using MPG isn't stupid, but we understand MPG, not Litres per 100km.
The Kuga AWD combined fuel is 47.9mpg which isn't as good as the Forester. The AWD system on the Kuga or CX5 are no where near as good either.
Very safety car, its passed small overlap crash test
yeah it is bentley , i love the looks . i can't afford to biuy one even i got the money i wont go for it. but i really love the looks.
All I'm going to say is symmetrical AWD... Nothing else has it... That's why the mpg is down a bit... And the petrol is a turbo...
Rebeca is so compact that she fits in the glove compartment :)
Define "ruff British winter" please!
I hope you have made a test to the new Honda Crv 1.6 diesel. Hope to see it soon.
MPG is the standard measure of fuel economy.
lb/ft is the standard measure of torque
there are some measurements that are universally used because the Americans got there first.
No wonder the fuel consumption is higher than the Kuga or CX-5, the Subaru has 4-wheel drive as standard.
1:24 - 1:26...Rebecca, you kill me!
wow 49 miles per gallon is a bad thing. If UK fuel prices hit NA soon we are screwed. Love the summer dress BTW..
I don't understand, Britain and the commonwealth nations use the metric system, so why is it not in km/litre but the mpg?
Exactly my thoughts.
For me, the new Forester is the best looking SUV of the ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!!!!!!
beautiful. please always wear shorts when doing reviews.
She is beautiful
Gosh, lovely REBECCA. First time saw you in summer clothing. You are just very beautiful with a very beautiful accent.
you can do the "offroading" in this video with any car...
Is it just possible that for once people can comment on the cars or the driving, rather than the predictable "I don't have a girlfriend so this is how I get off" type of remarks. Sad buggers.
👆
..."...rough British winter..." :-)
Its full option forester
Thumbs up for the gorgeous presenter
damn i always got to watch it twice to even see a car...
Its just not going to work between us Rebecca until you get yourself a banana bunker first....
Watching in 2017 because Rebecca
Yeah, it looks beautiful. I really like how british cars look. If I had enough money, I probably would go for an Aston Martin :D O jaguar. Bentley, even looking really good, isn't for me, it is heavy and somehow "too serious", if you know what I mean.
