    How do you check to see if the Title is clean? Can you please send a link or contact information to someone I can work with in checking Title?

    If I win a bid let's say at 200k do I need to pay it all up front or can I get a loan?

      With most tax deeds you will need to pay upfront. Everywhere is different, but most will require payment within 24 hours. Hope this helps and thanks for watching...

    But what if the loan of the property is not paid off or there are other mechanic type liens on it? Does all that get written off and you now own it free and clear? Can't imagine the banks taking a hit like that?

      Yes, in most cases things like bank loans, judgements and mechanic liens are no longer enforceable. If the banks don't take action or don't update their info they will loose it. You still need to check for other government liens like a city nuisance lien before buying though. Thanks for watching! Stephen

    So in California if you win the auction the property is yours right away or can the owner pay the taxes and get it back

      Yes, after the auction you will be the new property owner. California is considered a Tax Deed State, which means that after the sale you will be mailed the deed to the property. Thanks for the question and for checking out our training videos.

      when i check the state site, it says ""There is a one-year statute of limitations to bring an action to overturn a tax sale. Title companies will generally not issue title insurance until after the statute of limitations has expired.""
      is that true?

      Hello Roger, it is possible that some counties in CA will still include the 1-year period. But its not the case in every county. And most Title Companies will require you to also get quiet title as well. Thanks, Stephen
