Like your effort. Lot of people on here commenting that it’s a waste of time; it might be if you’ve years of grouting experience… and getting someone in to do the job will work out a lot more expensive than this gun. If the nozzle can be made to the right width then it will deliver grout at high pressure right where you need it with minimum overspill, ready to be wiped smooth with sponge. I’m up for trying it anyway!

I use a grout gun and love it. I put the grout on a little thicker then use a float to push it in. That way you only have to clean around the grout lines and not keep wiping with a sponge over and over til the tiles are lean. Saves clean up time by a lot. Especially when you use a epoxy grout it dries fast and hard.

Ouch! Use a float, you’re going to scratch up all the tiles with that metal knife.

Grout is meant to be compacted into the grout joints. I believe this is more for stone outside rather than a tile floor

Used one with fine tip on my kitchen wall tiles. Used sandwich bags as gun liners to save on cleaning. Worked great and fast.

This is really good idea... when we use Acrylic grout pre-mix which very expensive! Use small squeeze... you will have pressure and clean up better. I will go with 12 x 24 tile and up.

One could boil/heat the nozzle attachment to make it more oval than round for precision.

I actually think that this is a good idea in theory, maybe not the metal knife though 😱. Especially for around the edges, trying to get grout in tiles against a wall side with a float is very messy!

What's the point of the gun if you have to scrape it in

Hmm not 100% sure on these. With grouting I think I'd get a better finish with a grout sponge as you can really work it into the joint where as this could leave air bubbles and fill the top of the tile only. I think for re pointing this would be ok I guess.

+Zed Man my bad I missed that step from the video you have to use a sponge to finish it. Just use the grout gun to help get more into the gap. It was an ok method.

Ooooh, that metal putty knife in the grout will be leaving permanent scratches. Noooo! Not for me, mate.

You making more qork for yourself and wasting money on something you dident need get a grout float and a grout sponge it need to be compacted as water will get in and then crack all the grout, could work well with them horrible beveled edge tiles

Heat the plastic nozzle up and flatten it a bit so it goes more into the joint.
