    really really love that boat...I like the simplicity....we have a 14.5 ft lowe that is 54 inches wide...bought around 1988 and love it..we put some flooring and carpet down, seats, foot control trolling mtr, fish finder and a little B&S 5 hp outboard....we rebuild about every 5 years and its been a good boat....no leaks either....but would love to have an outfit like yours....very nice.

    This is a great video with a lot of information regarding catching bridge pylon crappie. one thing to keep in mind is that the wind will also create a current and the fish will hide in behind the column. it forms an eddy that gives them a strategic spot to ambush bait fish. Wind is your friend (even though you may not like it). Great Video!!!!!!

    Really enjoy and profit from your videos. Retired (semi) about three and one-half years ago, my wife bought me a boat (to get me out of the house, probably) and I started fishing. Had fish Lake Martin in south central Alabama when I was young and had always wanted to learn how to fish for striped bass--I remember seeing people fishing below the dam in Tallassee when I was a kid using huge red and white corks. Anyway, I have had some success, but my wife didn't like striped bass. So, earlier this year, I decided this year I would concentrate on crappie. Had some success in the spring, but it has been difficult since then. Your TH-cam videos have been very helpful.If you ever would like to fish Martin, I'd love to go with you. The clear, deep water, especially in the summer, makes crappie fishing hard. Thanks again.

    great video as always! how do you choose the color of the lure for the summer? is it trial and error every day or are there certain colors you start with and move on from there?

    • @RichardGeneTheFishingMachine
      @RichardGeneTheFishingMachine  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I choose my colors based on the clarity of the water and the weather. In my opinion in clear water natural colors such as shad colors or bluegill colors seem to be more effective. In dingy water caused by excessive rain fall, I use colors that are more visible to the fish like chartruse and jigs that have red or pink in them. Thanks for watching Jase!!
