For some reason I stopped getting notifications when the best to ever wet a line releases a new video, Richard Gene is the best fisherman I’ve ever seen, in my opinion
Thanks Richard for sharing your expertise ❤. What part of TENNESSEE are you in??Will you ever teach a class on catching crappie and bluegill?? I would love to learn. I love crappie just can't catch them. More.of a hands on learn not setting my line up correctly. Sad😢.
good job Richard ,I met you last spring as you were coming out of Bass Pro shop in Leeds , I have been a big fan of yours for a long time , may God bless you and your family in the days ahead and merry Christmas.
Good day Richard: I'm here in northeast N,C. in the back waters of the sound. I start crappie fishing in mid January from my dock. The flyers are the first to show up and they are little fighters and good... table fare. They spawn about 2 weeks or so then the crappie move in small at first then bigger I'm talking 11 thru 13 in.and thats big for our area. I'll keep 3 or 4 to eat and let the rest go and people they will bite again more than a couple times. I caught 1 particular female 4 times. I didn't keep her cause she was full of eggs and thats my future meals.I marked her dorsal fin with a V that's how I new it was her. I'm in tannic acid color water so line makes no difference but I have seen that lighter line lets the lure reacted to get more strikes. 6 # or even 4# is all I use and 1/32 no.6 hook to start with and by march I'm tying on a 1/16 no. 4 hook. Well you got me fired up now Richard so I need to check my telescoping 10 ft pole all 4 of them and put new line if needed and jigs with sharp hooks and or touch up the hooks on the poles as is. You have a great season Richard and I.ll keep my eye open for your next video. Tight lines have a blessed day...
Great video, Richard. Really appreciate you taking us along with you. Really appreciate all the tips and knowledge you share with us. God bless y'all and stay safe on your trips on the water.
Man TH-cam is going overboard with the ads. CEO must need a new yacht. How ya doing Richard Gene? Getting ready to go after some crappie myself. Have a blessed day y'all.
Happy Holidays to You and Yours Mr. Richard Gene the One and Only Fishing Machine!! Thanks for the Great Catching Tutorials and Knowledge-Sharing in your Unique Signature Joyous Fashion! Ya know, they say You Trained Santa Claus how to be the Greatest and the Jolliest Elf of All Time…and when you two used to do two-man Fishing-tournaments, y’all had to use that big red magic bag to contain all the over-abundance of fish you put y’all on…LOL! “Hip-Hip-HooTHEYYY” 🙌🏼😆 May the Good Lord continue to Bless You as you have blessed all of us! 🙏🏾🫵🏾✊🏾🎣🎄🎁🤶🏼🎅🏼
Richard my names Brian and I'm from California and I love watching your videos I learn a lot from them I hope to hear from you it would mean so much to me god bless you
The paint on the spinner baits, you can get paint thinner and let them soak for two days an get a wire brush it comes right off the jigs and then put them in some crappie scent and it will take the paint thinner smell away
Great video. First time I commented but I wondered if u sold ur other boat. Have not seen it in a while. God bless you and your family. Merry Christmas to yall. 🙏🙏
Richard, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the classic Beetle Spin. Always fishes and spins beautifully. I feel it’s a deadly midwest finesse bait with bass. What about crappie though?
Hey Richard, what is the Brand of braid you use when referring to the “Frost” color? I am having trouble finding it! Thank you sir! LOVE the channel and I also have my entire family screaming WOOO when things go right!! Haha
I bought a bunch of eagle claw jig head's, the eyelet isn't closed. The line falls out of the eyelet when I tie it. Aggravating it is. If I crimp it, it breaks. Maybe I'll use super glue.
I want you to start saying crapy like some do like saying poo poo like crappie, I say crappie like you do but those other fellows say it like poop crap-py 💩 lol it's just funny I think those northern folk are sicknen sometimes haha but we love them

At that size, those black Crappie have a thicker filet and thats a big deal at dinner time. Enjoyed your show today. Thanks. DS

Richard, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the classic Beetle Spin.
Always fishes and spins beautifully. I feel it’s a deadly midwest finesse bait with bass. What about crappie though?
When you get back late do you leave the fish in your cooler and clean them the next day?
I do! Ice em down good

Another good video Richard but the next time you was Rocky you might want to give him some pointers that boy went home hungry last week😂
Because it's good for you .
Nope, it's good FER YA !
RG, do you offer any Guide Fishing for Crappie? If so, I’m interested.
Thanks for video
Almost all fish feed up. Striper, catfish smallies largemouth bluegill sunfish, you name it. 😊
Great video 🎣🎣
Fantastic video
Love you more..God Bless you and yours
For the underspins that have paint on the swivel, could you soak that part in acetone or paint thinner?
I bought some them spins recently I wonder if your bait keeper hack will work for them
Thanks enjoy the video God Bless
Richard, what would it take for you to take an aspiring angler fishing? I’m stationed at fort Campbell and could drive down whenever!
Checked Bass Pro catalog & Bass Pro Shop Nashville & cannot find that underspin anywhere. Is it still made?
Nice bro...
Yessir richard
Bingo
Are you not cold? I live a hundred miles north of mobile and I feel like a popsicle right now 😅
Richard I notice your underspin choice does not include crappie magnet thin spin any more is there a reason for this
The fin spins have changed some, unfortunately, they were my favorite
Is this the river or the lake?
best vidya
Ad DJs 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
God bless

Aggravating isn't it, and they're not the only ones
What's your dogs name
you havent used your other boat in a while
There's a lot more meat on a 9" yellow or red perch than there is on any crappie the same length.
You know how to catch some slabs.
💜🎣
first
I'm Jeremiah how can I fish with u one day..
Just my opinion, but if you keep crappie to eat to me, 12" crappie is best. 😊
🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣👍👍👍👍👍
Wooooo
I don’t go fishing when I can’t, which is baaaad fer me
Quit giving away all my secrets! Lol
I want you to start saying crapy like some do like saying poo poo like crappie, I say crappie like you do but those other fellows say it like poop crap-py 💩 lol it's just funny I think those northern folk are sicknen sometimes haha but we love them
