My coworker told me to get a roadrunner, bobby garland baby shad and some 4lb test when I got into fishing and he wasn't wrong. Between that and your videos I've been able to catch fish when no one else is getting a bite. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the world -- not everyone had a fishing mentor growing up.
Richard your a jewel......I can't thank you enough for your fishing tips, but I am absolutely impressed with your "singing".....I went down to the dam at Guntersville yesterday and caught some nice catfish on a minnow tipped 1/16 oz jig. Beat all I've ever seen.
If you are just finding this channel..... Congratulations you found the best source of freshwater fishing you will ever need. Rgtfm is 2nd to none. Wooooooooooooo
Thanks for the instructions on the electric chicken and the lock tite super glue, especially making 1/16 into a 1/32 Road Runner chartreuse. Your the best!!!
Mr. Gene..1st of thanks for the fishing lessons..I've been fishing most of my life in every water in Oklahoma..don't hold it against me, ill do the same 😂😂😂 Caught my fair share but always learning. Anyway i went out yesterday using the lessons you taught on fishing the roadrunners. I found me sone brush about 10 feet down..let it sink for 8 and slow retrieval..man what a great day of fishing 11 big ole slabs..went home like a hero. Best to you and yours my friend. Appreciate ya..thanks.
Every time I watch your videos, I can't wait to get in my boat and go fishing. I really like the roadrunner...and now I have a few new things to try with them. Thanks, RG! Woooo!
Richard Gene I have thoroughly enjoyed your channel. Been a fan from the beginning. I'm 3 yrs shy of retirement from being a high voltage lineman. When that day comes, I will be hunting you and Rocky Drake for some guided trips. Much love from middle Tennessee
Man, I hit the lottery tonight. I missed the video earlier this week and just got to watch it, and now this one. WOOO I love those underpins jigs, with plastic or marabou feathers. Killer jigs. Thanks, Richard, for all your tips and tricks. God bless you and your family, my friend.
God Bless you my brother! ❤ Love you for all that you do for the sport of fishing! There is only one Richard Gene Woo! That's what I'm talking about! God Bless you really!
Thanks again for the great lesson on the modification of the legendary roadrunner bait. Not many fishermen give aways there top shelf secrets. And then to watch them huge slabs be pulled in just outstanding. Another great show appreciate you.
Richard last week I was just pondering what to throw and invent something new to me. I combined a Beetle Spin and a Road Runner. I just found some small Crappie plastic and put it on the hook. Crappie Small Bass & Pumpkinseed’s we’re hitting it . Had great fishing for 3 hours before sunset. Fun, Fun, Fun. Now I will pay attention to what I did and refine it. I love your videos because they make me think.
I can’t tell you the enjoyment I get from watching your videos. The only thing better is going with mgrandsons and watching them catch crappie. I only have a canoe so can only take one at a time with me but it’s a blast. Thanks for all you do and God bless you and your family.
I've been fishing for awhile (bass and catfish) and only have caught a few crappie here and there and recently decided I wanted to learn how to catch crappie. I've been trying a naked roadrunner with Zman, crappie magnet, and mule fishing swim baits and catching more than I've ever caught before. My first trip out after the weather change I caught 20 crappie, I couldn't believe it. Thanks for all the tips Mr. Gene!
La presentación del señuelo y el tip de como usarlo para la pesca de las crappies es excelente. Buenas tomas del vídeo del uso del señuelo, siempre de buen humor, gracias por el tip.
GOD BLESS YOU Richard ❤️❤️ Been Following You For Over 6 years And Love Every Single Video! Super Happy For You On How Big Your Channel Has Grown… Huge Congratulations👊🏻
The paddle tail will create drag therefore slowing down the bait further. HOWEVER, too slow will render the tail useless. I would suggest the new 2" size of the Keitech Easy Shiner. It's PERFECT for something like this! I'm a fan of the Roadrunner and have tied a custom one on my channel.
I really love these how to videos... even though there are several. But what I loved most was the use of the 2 different camera angles towards the end of the video. 👍 Gods blessings to you and Mama Sue keep up the great content! ❤
Brother i have been watching your channel for two months every day, that's also the same amount of time that i have been fishing. i have learned soooooo much just from watching and listening to your instruction. continue doing what you do man and don't ever change! Roll Tide!!
Richard, your videos have inspired me to fish again. If you think about it one day, can you cover why you use leaders and why you sometimes you different test line than the main line? Keep up the great work!!
Hello Richard I really like watching your vedios and the way you fish using knowledge instead of all these electronics there using now to me it’s actually making me not even want to watch pro fishing and them saying oh I just couldn’t of won without my Garmin livescope that’s just like saying they didn’t win the Garmin did keep it real Richard and you will just keep growing in popularity
Wow thanks for the tips sir! I have quite a few of road runners jigs over years old pre rigged that I didn't like, never occurred to me to just re rig them. Thanks and God bless.
Richard, you said that when you are letting a jig fall, you count, "one-one hundred, two-one hundred...." That puzzled me somewhat because when I was a kid, I was taught to count, "one-one thousand, two-one thousand...." I think I figured it out though. I was using a bigger jig and you were using that itty-bitty 1/32 ounce jig. You were using a smaller lure, so you had to use smaller numbers. Thanks for all of your videos, they are very entertaining and doggoned informative. That's a win-win.
On that floss tie, if you start at the hook side and work towards the head, you can leave some tag and it will be hid under the plastic. Will act like a keeper just a bit, too, giving the plastic a little extra to hold on to.
Awesome, Richard. I tell you what you make fishermen out of people who barely know what they're doing. Now they're out catching frying-size crappie. I simply cannot miss a RGtFM video and I've seen all of them.
I started off with roadrunners its hard to come by especially the size you're looking for I'll try this out for sure who else but R.G with the good tips and tricks 😎
Richard...I just love you man! If I had a bucket list, fishing with you would definitely be on it. Thanks for all the awesome and super informative videos!
I like fishing a lot of small jiggs lately I just purchased a bfs rod and reel. I never liked spinning rod ultralights, so I’m trying out the baitcaster ultralights. Most of the water I fish is high pressured fishing. Rarely do I bump into really big bass . So I’m looking forward to getting out fishing Tuesday for the first time to try it out. I’ll definitely be trying some small jiggs . Thanks for your tips man .
I’m a new bait maker and I make a similar jig heads and I also make soft plastic baits similar to the Bobby Garland baits and was wondering if I could send you a few baits and see if you could do a video or at least a review of my baits
Love your videos you are so full of knowledge and I use a lot of your techniques and belive me I flat catch my share of fish and I have told and show you techniques to all I fish with thanks for sharing your knowledge on fishing have not tried your techniques on catching worms but looks great thank you again wish I lived next door to you you the best man I have seen on you tube I use a techniques on chicken liver in June for catfish and we absolutely wear thim out I fish below dams when the river is low and use 20lb test line with no sinker and we absolutely smoke thim
Thank you always Brother Rich for all the great pointers you share with us. And may our LORD Richly Bless You and Your Family, and Your Followers on this channel.🙏🙏🙏
Tò keep the tail on the jig I use regular thread, wind it uneven on the hook, like Gene did the dental floss only uneven, and then coat it with clear fingernail polish. The thread is rough and holds the bait. I'll try the dental floss trick - may work better. Nice video Gene
Gene Thank you so very much for giving out the info you did about the lures you customize to help you be more productive. Love it brother. Again thank you!!
I have been using roadrunner lures forever using light tackle. Absolutely awesome lure. Never altered the lure. Have caught so many fish, pisses me off bass pro shop quit selling them for their own profit, ain't been there since 😢
Hey Richard I take # 4 extra long shank cricket hooks and bend the eyelet up about a 1/4 inch and use a small bb weight above the bait about 3inches up the line try it
Too much fish learning has made you a mad man...sound effects...love it...fish on brother..I use this same rig..minus the head cutting...will try it...😂😂😂😂 Come on back to Weiss please and do a video.. can't wait to see ya...woooooooo!
You wouldn’t be able to count the money you would make in tips alone if you would be a fishing guide! Thanks for the videos as always, my boys and I love to watch together
Watched this & ordered some roadrunners, some Bobby Garland's and some Z-Man's... Went fishing over the weekend and caught several small crappie, maybe this will work for some bigger ones 🤞
I see you use bobby garland jigs my brother and I use them also we also use them just like a bettlespin thank you For your help James from a small town in NC God Bless
I very much appreciate your love for creation. I have learned to value the fish I catch more...because you do. You marvel at each one.. And we should they are God's creation just as we are. You are by far the finest teacher our there. I watch at least 3 of your videos each day. Richard, how can we show we appreciate the Creator.....more than by words I mean?
I’m addicted to Crappie fishin, thanks Richard Gene the fishin machine for the roadrunner tips, locktite super glue,👍🏼
Somewhat true. Your Bobby Garlands won't last though compared to Z-Man
Yeah, this bait is awesome! I tie a custom one on my channel...freaking love this bait. It's the first lure I caught a fish on as a kid.
@@brythegeek Man, that's a fact, but I've still got a pile of baby shad to go through before I buy any more plastics, lol
@@alecbh13 I have a big pile myself lol!
Always good stuff and fun to watch.

Thank you Richard for another informative video. Your channel is growing because of you Richard.
I just did what you said, fished where I haven't before. Found a honey hole and caught a crappie nearly every cast. God bless you Richard.
You're one of the best educators I've found on fishing. Thanks!
thank you richard. i must say that in oklahoma it is very rare to see such a nice calm lake without a lot of boats and other folks. be thankful.
Thanks for the instructions on the electric chicken and the lock tite super glue, especially making 1/16 into a 1/32 Road Runner chartreuse. Your the best!!!

More info than Rowland or Bill and without all the infomercial jargon. Richard Gene is the best. Wish my Papa was still around.

Thanks for all your Croppie Tips 🦅
You have helped me so much thank you. I WILL SEE YOU in Heaven some day. May GOD bless you all.
When I started with your channel you were at 225k subs. Now you’ve grown to 321k! Happy for you! Great fishing channel.

Thank you, I learned your trick a year ago and use it everyday I fish!!
Tried your mod on the roadrunner this week with my grandson. We caught lots of crappy! Thank you for your time and videos!!
