Full Body Standing Pilates Workout- Build Strong Legs, Core and Arms | 30 Minutes

  • Join me for a 30 Minute Full Body Standing Pilates workout you can do anywhere. This workout will build stronger core and arms through fun balance challenges, static holds and exercises to really work the Leg, Hip and Core Muscles. Prepare for shaky legs during and post class! It will be based on my Pilates and Dance background and I decided to put this one together as we've all spent a lot more time sitting during the Covid lockdown so this is to get us all up and moving! It can be used as warm up to a longer workout or standalone as daily workout or active recovery session.

    Thank you Rachel. I'll be 80 next year. I have been doing your exercises started with Standing Pilates for Senior, Relief Knee & Back Pain, Standing Pilates for Stronger Legs, Better Balance and Coordination and now Build Strong legs, Core and Arms. Every morning from 7.30 am I do 2 of the exercises depends on my need and always follows up with full body standing Pilates Work out.
    I started in March last year without fail. Sometimes my neighbour joined in the garden according to Gov. guidance. It has helped me physically and mentally. I also walk to Brockwell Park for an hour or more depends on the weather. Highly recommended. Many thanks Rachel.

    Thank you so much for your wonderful workouts. When the pandemic restricted my gym habit of 35 years, I found you online to continue my daily exercise. The standing workouts for seniors are so helpful, though I like your floor work as well. I have improved my balance, flexibility, and lessened trouble in problem areas. You are an excellent instructor.

    Did this today, 11/28/20 and I loved it! I'm 65 years old. I'm from New Jersey. I had laser Cataract surgeries last month so I was cautious and I just got back to your exercises after a month since my second eye surgery. Thank you so much for these TH-cam Pilates exercises. You are so kind to share them.❤️

    Rachel, thank you for being a life saver. I “met” you at the beginning of the pandemic and have been doing your routines for seniors several times a week. I am 72 years old and have walked with a friend three times a week for 27 years. You got me through lockdown and I am still using your videos. I am a two time cancer survivor and had a heart attack two years ago. You have helped me to stay strong and I am very grateful. I love when I conquer a new exercise.

    Fourth time doing this session. My legs used to shake a lot the first time! And sore muscles too! Not as much soreness or shaking, but still challenging for this old lady! Lol! Thank you very much!

    Thank you so much for giving such a great class for addressing strength, core, stretching, and spine exercises. I have to deal with a right foot double ankle fusion, left knee replacement, and now low back pain making it difficult to exercise properly. I find your exercise sessions are really helpful in pain reduction, body posture, and healing. I’ve always loved Pilates and am so happy to be able to participate again. For Me your pace is perfect!

    I discovered your channel during lockdown, and have been doing a lot,of your very varied and effective workouts on a regular basis since.
    At 71 I feel it,is more important than ever to keep the stretches and core workouts going.
    I also love your use of ballet-inspired exercises.
    I often do your workouts in the morning, in my pyjamas, but don’t tell anyone, haha.

    I loved this workout. I do mainly the standing ones because I am still trying to get my left wrist back to being pain free. It has been a problem for over a year. I had 3 cortisone shots in 2019. Much better but not 100%. I am 69 years old & have done yoga for years & I can't wait to get back to be able to put my body weight on this left wrist without pain & making it worse.     I did Pilates with you 2x this week. I plan on 3x next week with 5, days of Cardio for 30 minutes, and 2 days of weights. Is that a reasonable goal? I am feeling such relief in my lower back and hips that I believe there is something amazing to this Pilates stuff. And you are a good teacher with great breathing prompts 😂❤. The breathing is so important! 💕 Thank you again. By the way I'm on southern California. And class goes so quickly 😅

    Thank you so much for these Pilates workout from Helena Montana! I've been doing your workouts for a couple months and it has really helped me during the pandemic, and will continue for the winter most likely, as I can't walk outside in the ice and snow and do not feel safe going to the gym as of yet, as I've recently had a stent for hydrocephalus, so this is excellent for my balance! I'm in so much better shape than when I started, which was at the start of lockdown! I can't find where to donate, but will keep looking! Thanks again!

    I love this work out! I can’t tell you how much this has helped me. Five months ago I had my right hip replaced. I had been limping for four years before this. After the op I thought I’d get more abilities back but remained very stiff (but not limping). So my mobility has still really suffered and have been worried that I will not be able to get my flexibility and strength back. This is the second time I have completed this session although I started with your classes for seniors to break myself in gently and gain confidence. I can already feel huge changes in my body. I’m so happy, I feel soooo much better. 🥰🥰

    Rotating through 1 yr later, the sequences and oral directions bring heat to the movements. The work follows through the sessions to build on experience, strength and stamina. NAMASTE

    Love the workouts ! I’m normally a senior class participant but tried this today and wow! Only think is I have a very dodgy right knee and appreciate when you say be mindful on knees etc in your classes. Knee feels a bit sore today as I was obviously trying to hard for the first time. It would be great if you could expand your excellent knee workouts with a be aware when doing type vlog! Thanks

    Enjoyed this workout but found some of the exercises very challenging. I have problems with both hips and lazy glutes and find it particularly difficult to do side leg raises. Will keep on practising. Many thanks.

    Dear Rachel, I appreciate the way you introduced me to Pilates. I hurt my knee at the beginning of the year (walking 3 miles a day to start the 2023 new year). I used your Painful Knee sessions (both sitting and on the mat) several times a week during January. Then during February I continued with your Standing Pilates for People over 60 years old. I'm not 60 but have been too sedentary for a while. Today I completed this video and you continue to challenge me. My muscles are getting stronger and my balance is improving too! I'm in Chicago and rave about your channel and videos. I especially like the "Y, W, T, L" movements. Gratefully! Laura
