2012 GMC 2500 4x4 6" Lift & 35s Duck Dynasty Hunting Truck - Moby Duck - Stacey David's Gearz S7 E12

Stacey sets out to build a nice hunting rig out of a 2012 GMC 4x4 truck. But it isn’t just any hunting rig or truck, because it belongs to John Godwin of Duck Commander. Which means the truck will be spending some serious time on the road…..and off…..hunting for ducks. To facilitate this, on goes a 6” lift, 35” tall tires, and massive bumpers and winch to help pull this big white beast out of any mud holes it may end up in. And since it IS such a big white beast, it is only fitting that Stacey name this project “Moby Duck”!

Versimold looks promising. May try some for gun grips, was using Sugru but it doesn't fee as spongy as I like for soft grips.

Hey Stacy, I always wondered about the speedo gear ratio after to change the tire sizes! You never seem to mention that in your videos. How do you deal with the speedo being inaccurate after the diameter changes. any time I've done something of that nature I always had to recalibrate the ratio on the speedo. I would like to hear your solution and learn from a master craftsman!

To all you vehicle modifiers out there, ALWAYS USE SELF LOCKING NUTS in all and any applications that do not use either a castellated nut and split pin or R clip to secure the nut

I'm not sure you would want to live with that everyday. Besides the fact you are going to get absolutely miserable gas mileage those big tires will destroy ball joints, tie rods, and God knows what else in the front end in short order.
