Hello everyone and welcome to Splatoon 2! Because none has done a video detailing all of the Splatfest Announcements and Results, I have put them all together into this video! So this video will contain all Splatfest Themes Announcements and Results for all Splatfests in Splatoon 2! I have not done Splatoon 2 in months due to all of the new games coming out and I apologize for the lack of Splatoon uploads. I am not sure if I will continue Splatoon 2 but with the new 6.0 update coming, I might check back into Splatoon 2!

In the Japanese version they never argue. It’s a localization change to make them closer to Callie and Marie. Their defining trait is caring for each other.

Maybe it’s just me but I’ve noticed a pattern throughout the splatfests, marina’s team usually gets popular vote but pearl’s team ends up winning by playing better. Something to think about.
That's how Splatfests have always been ever since 1. Ketchup and Mayo was the first example of major popularity for Marina, which resulted in many Ketchups facing each other in mirror matches or being outplayed by Mayos

Counting all regional splatfests, and mayo vs ketchup results (Where, even if global, it was counted separatedly per region and yet Pearl won all 3), it was 27 vs 27 pre Finalfest, with that same splatfest giving the divisive victory to Pearl. Just as close it seems!
But who won the Mario Splatfest? The Super Star vs Super Mushroom? that's right, Pearl did (aka Mushroom), so I guess its a full on tie!

It felt weird for Pearl to choose heroes, and Marina villains, instead of the other way around. Especially since Pearl chose Chaos, and wanted the world to change. Who agrees?
Die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become to villain. Jokes aside, villains do want sterile, never changing things, thus order. Heroes, fighting against them are upsetting they're plans and thus are chaotic in nature, fighting for a future that might not even be seen

@@MrSOAP999 There are villains who want chaos as well, and heroes who want peace and order. It depends on the villain/hero. There are some heroes who can mean well and have a set order system but be seen as a villain, and there are rebels who seem like the villain but are heroes who rebel against order. Depends on how you look at it.
I know this comment was made one year ago, but here’s my take on it: I actually thought it was kind of fitting for Marina to choose villains considering how Octarians are the villains of Splatoon. Up until the DLC, of course. But that’s literally the only reason why it could fit.

-Wolf is a mercenary, he does what he does for money
-King Dedede steals food cuz he wants to eat, but kirby always stop him, not counting the other times he was possesed/captured/brainwashed
-Dark Pit was born from a Mirror that creates clones of everything it stands in front of him, he never chose to exist
-Ganondorf Had to live as a man in a women only village, he also is tecnically inmortal because he revives every 100 years, explaining why he wants to create chaos and pain, to compensate for the already huge pain he is going through

I absolutely love these two goobers.
I love what I've seen of the Splatoon 3 splatfests. The plaza and the music feels so much more alive and like a festival than in Splatoon 1 and 2, But one thing Off The Hook has over it is the opening to the splatfest. it was so hype to see them already on stage announcing the current maps. it's like the party's already started and you just showed up. In 3 Deep Cut are in the studio then you chase them around the plaza to try and get a good look at them. Feels a little more weird because it's like they just teleported there or something

I honestly think the atmosphere is splat2 is way cooler than 3. Like how they actually are up on the top of the tower announcing everything
It would be cool if we got special effects based on the team we choose for splatfest in Splatoon 3, like how marina rigged her tenta misses to shoot candy corn. Perhaps it wouldn't always be that subtle, for example the time travel VS teleportation would have boosts, so like your speed would be increased for time travel and you can actually teleport around the map for teleportation.
We might get those special effects come Splatoon 3!

Seeing these back to back I think the concept of splatfests overriding scientific fact might be a bit overblown. In the first splatfest Marina shut Pearl down when she tried to argue it was all a matter of taste, so in the chicken and egg splatfest Pearl did the same thing when Marina pointed out the scientific consensus states the egg came first.

Wait, im grappling with the fact that whatever wins a splatfest legally becomes superior to whatever loses and what that means in inkling society. Like did the first splatfest of splatoon 3 ruin rock, paper, scissors by declaring rock superior. And are we going to ignore the fact that the squid v. Octopus splatfest is just a more mild repeat of the race war that originally divided inkling society. I have questions about inkling democracy to say nothing of the fact that you cant even buy food or clothing if you're under level 4 meaning levels 1-3 are literally second class citizens. I'm probably reading to much into this but it just seems like a problematic way of running a society

1) retro vs modern (in the hare vs tortoise splatfest, pearl talks about rewriting history while marina fights to preserve it, and that splatfest i think is perfectly branded to their characters)

3) family vs friends
4) knights vs wizards (i feel like pearl would be all into magic and marina would be like “no, knights exist and are cooler”, just like the unicorn vs narwhal splatfest)

Y'know... What if the Flight vs Invisibility Splatfest had each team with their own respective power??? Obviously, it would have limitations. Maybe any time you're in squid form, you'd either get flight or invisibility, depending on your team! And you can't shoot immediately after you stop using either power; you have to wait, like, a full second. And flight can only fly... about the as high an Inkjet, but slightly faster.
Or even if it was just "Team invisibility automatically gets Ninja Squid and Stealth Jump. Team flight automatically gets Quick Superjump and Quick Respawn"

About Chicken vs Egg: Anyone who believes in evolution should go with Egg. The chicken's biological ancestor, apparently a "red junglefowl subspecies," laid an egg that was very slightly mutated in ways that make it a chicken (obviously evolution doesn't really work in a single generation like that but whatever). So, the junglefowl laid a chicken egg. Then that egg hatched into a chicken!
On the other hand, if you're a creationist, Chicken would work better for your worldview. I'm assuming creationists would think that God just created an chicken, so the chicken would come first, if you believed in that.
