- In the Grass VS Water VS Fire Splatoon 3 Splatfest, I decided to give myself a challenge where if I lose a game of turf war, I have to switch to the other team. Little did I realize, this would be the most difficult, frustrating, and exhausting challenge I've ever attempted...

If I had a nickle for every time I lost a 10x battle to Team Grass (I'm on Fire) because someone on my team got disconnected at the beginning and the game forced us to continue, I'd have two nickles. Which isn't a lot, but it's infuriating that it happened twice within 15 minutes. And the most painful part is that we actually almost won the first match.

1:50 Oh thank god, thought I was crazy finding it hard to track water players in their own ink.
I feel like the ink is way too dark against the dark background, I've found myself loose more often against team water than team grass simply because I just can't see them.
As dualies they'll attack me from the side and as a squiffer I cannot snipe them and die due to my short range.
So yeah, I'm not surprised they got first place during half time.
I had that issue in regular battles already

I was on team grass. I absolutely hated this splatfest. I lost too many times in a row. Team fire was so fiery..and team water just left me drowning in my own tears.

As a member of Team Water, I'm so happy that we won.
After suffering against team gear last time, that's admittedly one of the key reasons I chose team water. I was already leaning towards it anyway from actual preference and because Big Man, but also I'd rather be on the team with the darkest ink color than fighting it.
As someone who was on team water, not only did it blind our opponents but it blinded me.

You've saved yourself a headache; there's so many random and ridiculous disconnections, IMO, Tricolour is unplayable, and Nintendo need to focus on sorting out whatever the heck is wrong with their Netcode.

I don't think it was; I've never had any issues during any of the previous Splatfests, and my Internet download and upload speeds are very good (I also use a wired connection).
A player on the opposing team DC'd prior to the end of a match, and then I DC'd on the Victory screen.
I am wondering whether everyone was linked to my connection somehow, and that player DC'ing was put down to me maybe?
I don't really know how it works, but I had typical download speeds on the Oled of 64 'Mbps' with a ping of 6? And upload speeds of at least 15Mbps.
Are the ping speeds the issue?
The connection speeds on the Switch, are a lot lower then all other devices in my property

This is so strange to see since I was on team grass and the entire time the first day we were absolutely kicking ass I got to ruler within 1 hour 😂. The duality of splatfest experiences
I couldn’t win any games on team grass, half of my games we had two people sitting inking spawn for the first minute and a half 😭😭😭
I launched an open match to warm up as it was the first game of the day for me, then i see 100x on the screen. I have never been the same since.
