I explored the Honeysuckle Space Station in the ACT in 1987, four years after it was decommisioned.
A little of what we came across was 3 cars in good nic, cash, highly detailed star-charts, weird electronic gadgetry, personal items like watches rings wallets.
    Cartons of cigarettes.
It was like the site was deserted over night. Amazing stuff back then…
    Wished I Kodaked it all.

Theres the urbex rule of leaving the place as tou found it, but as someone who drives for a living, and has onserved, admired, and kept tabs on abandoned places all over Sydney, then seen them demolished with nothing in the grounds or on the structure being salvaged- even historic fittings, stained glass windows ect....In cases where everything will be destroyed, Id urge people to rescue whatever they can from those properties.

Those Miele appliances would have been expensive in their day.

By judging the style, someone lived there in the 80s'.
Left no trace and all is clean behind.

The yellow-coloured plasterwork on the wall about the size and dimensions of a small window is a decorative font. The basin in the bottom would have held water and in front of it would have been a little table with statues or paintings of Jesus and Mary. Highly likely an Italian household and a Catholic one at that. Just my observation.

Those curtains take the Oscar’s for bad taste like everything else in that ghastly house can’t imagine that sort of 📌 tack allowed in say a place like Lake Como for example and we know money doesn’t always come with tasteful abodes
