1 DAY IN BATTAMBANG - The Culture, The History and THE BAT CAVE

Battambang ក្រុងបាត់ដំបង is a relaxed city, despite being one of Cambodia's most populated.
Besides incredible pagodas bursting with Khmer architecture, there are beautiful views of the surrounding green rice fields which stretch for miles.
We only spent a day in Battambang but this riverside city has so much more to offer, from beautiful French colonial architecture to ancient temples. Battambang is definitely an underrated tourist destination and should be on your list of places to visit next time you're in Cambodia.
We end this epic day by watching millions of bats fly out of Phnom Sampov's cave for nearly an hour at sunset, a wonderful natural sight to behold.
