    bacon filament would be great for making fishing lures

    • @3DPrintingNerd
      @3DPrintingNerd  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ooh, think so? Would enough “stink” be left in order to attract the fish?

      3D Printing Nerd maybe not but I'd take the chance, it wouldn't hurt and it'd be a nice marketing point

    Hmmmm, well here is an idea. Maybe you can make a series of Filaments with Incense or Incense oils in them. Would be a good way to make the room smell nice while you are printing.

    • @smokeycheddar8842
      @smokeycheddar8842 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Proto-pasta I thought oils and incense had a certain flashpoint that keep it from being extruded? I was tempted to try on my filastruder.

    • @ProtopastaMakers
      @ProtopastaMakers 7 ปีที่แล้ว +34

      We tried oils and the smell seemed to burn off just like you said. Also, makes the pellets slip. Stick to solids...

      Yeah, gotta work on making the smell stick around when the plastic is no longer warm :-)

      are you here in Washington ProtoPasta?

    • @greenaum
      @greenaum 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Probably easiest at the moment just to spray the scent on the finished product. Essential oils don't often get on well with plastic, or with being heated up to hundreds of degrees.
