We have a sleep number with adjustable base and we needed a bedskirt like yours. My hubby used thumb tacks to attach to our bed. I love that your hubby says your bedroom feels like a hotel room 🥰 it’s nice when hubby’s realize and appreciate how hard we wives work to make our homes beautiful and comfortable for our families. The bedroom came out beautifully!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the transformation. Just an idea for your bed skirt, what if you used an inexpensive flat sheet and sewed the ruffle to it, laid it across the bed frame under your mattress. I’ve done this before and it works beautifully and no hassling with the pins to them over and launder. ❤️

Your bedroom turned out real nice!...Even your animals match!...we replaced our pine bedroom set we bought new in 1978 with a frame just like yours last year only it is in white. Jaxon could be a photographer, those pictures he took look professional!...

It looks so nice and calming. Love everything. We are like you, we have never purchased bedroom furniture for ourselves. We have purchased mattresses and box springs with the frame but never a headboard or new dressers. I painted some dressers given to us literally 37 yrs ago. They are nicer than what you can buy now. I just want a headboard, lol. This is the year.

Love the whole room!!! Love the lamps!! I have my moms lamps she used in her LR and I want to paint them but they are ceramic and not sure how to yet (they have Chinese design on them on front so I keep them turned to just the plain side lol) My LR lamps are at least 52 yrs old and the color matches my LR accent color. I bought them at a yard sale when our neighbor passed. They told us she got them in 1970. Love the design, style and color. The simple things!!! Thanks for sharing the makeover!!

Your room looks beautiful! Love the wall color and the bed. We need a new frame, so we can get rid of the box spring. We buy quilts because duvets are like comforters and in North Carolina we have more warm evenings than cool. So duvets and comforters would be too hot to sleep underneath here. We don’t allow the 2 largish dogs on the bed. Too smelly and one of them snores worse than my husband does. Hubby doesn’t bathe the dogs often enough because he works away from home some days for extra income above retirement income and he procrastinates too. I cannot bathe the dogs because of health issues. We have a chandelier ceiling fan combo. It was pricey, but affordable. So worth it and we need the cool air circulating in the room. Hot flashes at night are NO fun! 😓 I’m waiting for hubby to hang it! Other projects need to be done first though. Haha.

Yes! That chandelier!!! Oh my! This room showed me that I am not the only one who likes to mix French country cottage, Farmhouse, and even some prim. I LOVE all those styles and I can’t decide on just one! 😅 I have all three in my home and I always wonder if I’m doing this decorating thing, correctly!

So pretty! The color is beautiful. Your vision is complete. One suggestion: We can't see that beautiful bedspread with the blanket covering it. Maybe drape the blanket over one corner of the bed. Just a thought. The furniture turned out so nice.
I keep it there because my dogs sometimes get mud on the bed after coming inside. It’s easier to throw that in the wash than the whole duvet. I also like the layered look.😀I’ve thought about draping it but I feel the bed stays cleaner this way.
