You and Marion did a fabulous job on Jaxon's room🤩. I was holding my breath when you were painting the wall, trim, and doors.....you are good!!!!! I would have had paint all over the floor, ha ha. I really like the way the chalk paint turned out on the wood pieces too. Jaxon is a lucky kid to have such a nice room, I bet he's really happy!

Amazing transformation! Painting tip: Liquid Sandpaper (Lowes) Rolling it on is fast, but a brush works too. You don't have to be perfect (haphazard works!) It doesn't strip all the layers of paint off but helps new paint grip the new surface. I never sand! It is a huge time saver. I love the bedspread/quilt. I purchase the next size up - full for a twin bed. It really isn't that much bigger but gives you added inches so that you can't see under the bed. We do that for all of our bed sizes - queen for full and King for Queen.
Wanted to make a suggestion or two. I bought a couple of coasters at Tractor Supply that would look great in his room and protect the paint finish on his night stand & desk. When my son was a teenager I had a piece of smoked glass cut and edge sanded to the exact size of his night stand to protect the finish because he was always carrying drink cans & glasses to his room. The smoked glass was $18 and we still have it, looks great. (Smoked glass is dark)

It's good to revisit projects I love the wat you redid his existing furniture sometimes you can't afford new items but with paint anything unmatched can look like they belong together 😊
Love it, the quilt, the flooring & those closet doors, so cleverly upscaled. We are in the process of bringing a whole wooden wall in the mobile home we are remodeling. We originally took it out of an old wooden barn. It was an inside wall for the grainery portion. We had it in our photograpy studio, we used it to take the old time shots on. But we moved it to the neighbors barn, when we moved. It's been power washed & hopefully will get it put in thus week. It's the real deal & it's heavy. It took 4 of us to move it. So this will be fun up rickety steps. We are going to use it for a wall we took out.
I love it, the black is a great choice. My favourite is the floors, they are gorgeous. Im sure Jaxon is enjoying his new room. Marion and yourself did a fantastic job! Tfs & take care 🌺🙏💞

I’ve never painted any furniture or any of the walls in my condo since I’ve lived there (21 yrs); same carpet as well from when I moved in (it was high-quality so shampoos up great!) I live vicariously thru all your home renos and luv what you do and your visions for your spaces! 💕

You can get magnetic "hinges" for garage doors for about $7 or $8 that you could add to the barn doors to make it look more realistic! You did such a great job decorating for a boy ! It can be so hard sometimes!

Jaxon's room looks so good. I remember when my boys were still living at home, they didn't care one bit about room decor but they did have preferences on some things, like bed placement and their gaming stuff. I did the same as you and put things how they chose, even if it was not the best decor-wise. Love Jaxon's new floor, new bedding, all of it!

Make spray painting soooo much easier by getting a Rustoleum spray adapter..just a few dollars...that fits over the top of the can. It makes the paint spray on more smoothly and cover faster, the paint also seems to go further. You'll love it! Oh and it keeps your fingers clean too. Cheaper versions do not work as well.
