I’m a Designer and I’m already subscribed to your channel. I have a great trick that you and your subscribers can use on a tight budget sounds a little crazy but it works great. Add food coloring to your paint to make it the color you like so easy. Love your channel.

Over the weekend I redid my bedroom like you. Even have sewn curtains out of sheets. I found a California King size headboard for free that a lady was throwing out....repainted and it looks amazing..... Wish we lived closer....because two minds think alike. Have a great day.
You could just glue some black felt or fabric on back of shutters. That would make it a bit more "lightproof". You could also paint dresser knobs black.

Once again a great makeover on a very tight budget ...re-enforcing that there's no excuse for not having a nice home that you can be proud of with time and effort and some creative thinking...everyone can have their own palace to suit there taste !
Another good makeover. As for the curtains, you could always make a valance using one buffalo print panel. It would make the windows more cohesive. Just a thought. Have a good day!

I really liked the color of your bedroom before you painted. The color gave your room a summer morning feel. I, also like the color of your bedroom after you painted. While the paint was wet it looked too dark, after it dried it was still dark but, much better. The ship lap looks amazing! Nice work!

I painted my walls going downstairs shiplap look & they came out fantasic, easy. My hubby really liked it. This project is better than nailing or gluing wood on the walls. TFS

This turned out great! I would paint your star and the knobs on your dresser & chest black. Get the buffalo check curtain too! That message that you were thinking of writing on the chalkboard was a good one....I wanna chalkboard to use that in my house now!
I think you should get more black white fabric that you used for the pillows and fold it over ..hot glue a thin fold over and put a small rod threw it and hang it up on two side holders for each side of rod. Wahla! You hav a cute topper/valance for each window and would not be blocked by your adorable headboard. Ps..I love your headboard too (Just a suggestion) And love your decorating ideas too💕 Thank you

You said that you don't like how the light comes through between the sections. Could you spray paint some cardboard strips black and staple or tape those on the back side?

Nice! ( I read that you did get those checked curtain panels which is great.) Have you ever considered framing your mirror out with the same black paint? It would carry some of the black to that side of the room. ( Found Pinterest ideas for cheap lumber/fencing -painted and glued onto a bathroom mirror, lol. Who thinks of these things?! So creative.) LOVE the shiplap accent wall here, too. You amaze me... painting and rolling along without anything under the paint tray to protect the carpet! Bravo.

Love what you’ve done in the bedroom. I love that your home is real, not a model home and cookie cutter. How about finding a tall fence panel, doors, etc, paint black and completely cover the window behind your bed. Covering the whole window eliminates that awkward space and no curtain bunching. Your dog is precious, saying hello in the beginning. My house is old too, so I totally understand “wonkier walls.” Blessings. 🐶🐾🐾

You can buy thin strips of wood black them black and attach to your head board to cover the grabs very cheap. The room looks very pretty.
