Something about this home that is so utterly appealing. Also, Michele, it is a real talent knowing how to use vintage and thrifted pieces. I could probably buy all the same thing and never make them look so wonderful as you do. Presentation is everything .

I am a subscriber of her Vintage Home Designs and just love her home and style aesthetic. Because of her I started collecting the thread and yarn balls and have them in a basket next to a rattan rocker . Just love the simple , textural element. Also filled my patio fireplace with terra cotta pots like her. Such unique ways of displaying items. I too, adore tablescapes and thrifting. Two of my favorite pastimes. The stool is such a study in the beauty of decay. Love it! The carriage doors make the space a one of a kind room. I will stop. as I could go on and on . There is nothing I do not love about this home.

At first, I thought I was not going to enjoy this home tour. I thought, "Aren't we done with farmhouse?", but Michele's home transcends trends and is absolutely beautiful! What a great presentation of her first floor. This home had a welcome element that I adored. I don't dwell on negative and look for the ideas that suit me best. Beautiful home. Every space is casual and welcoming. This home is so inspiring. The homeowner explained her vision so well. She is so real and authentic. Loved that she remembered some of the prices she’s paid for her treasures. As she said her home is farmhouse, shabby chic, vintage, French and English country. It’s layered, it’s not like everyone else’s home. I’ll be rewatching this episode.

That style is called “Shabby Chic”. We have lots of shops here in Texas that use this style.
At first glance I thought "Oh here we go again with Texas." However, the host is easy to listen to and explains her choices well. I really enjoyed her eye for thrifting and vintage finds Nothing is precious about her home. It has a lovely inviting floor plan and is very livable, which is ideal. Kudos! 🐞🌼

Enjoyed your tour and home. The clean neutral expansiveness of your style of decorating is lovely. How you reuse found objects is creative and interesting. I live in a cabin in the mountains that’s over 100 years old so my palate is primitive- quite opposite however, it’s a reminder of the value of consistency. Your home is beautiful! As one of the viewers has already common in it I’m kind of particular about videos too, and I won’t watch more if I don’t like the first one. But home worthy and this particular home tour and Rockwall is stunning! So you never say how old your mother is, but the fact that she is still living is wonderful! And the fact that you have some of her older, what the kids nowadays would call vintage pieces in your home is even more stunning! I love that you have your grandparents pieces of furniture, again our generation today wants to sell and get rid of that and doesn’t realize how good of a treasure and quality built furniture that they might have. Unlike what!!! She said she paid how much for that roundtable? Absolutely 1000% a steel! And absolutely gorgeous. I love the round table.❤ I love all your pops are blue and I’m glad to hear. I didn’t even look to see how old this video was that you can still buy a lot of the vintage or antique stuff fairly cheap without costing you an arm and leg because it’s gotten so popular! And people have gotten greedy because, they have a demand for it. Again, your home is absolutely stunning love love this home. You did an amazing job on it and it feels very much like home. Unlike a lot of that I watch that are so minimalistic that I’m like that’s not even real life. Thanks for sharing.

I ran across this and found that I do have or love everything about your love of collections seems like we have the same taste.but I have moved several times and a lot of my things are know longer in my position.I went through a basket thing years ago and had some great ones but then went to a different look and got rid of them now years later seeing this I wish I kept some.I just might be collecting some more now after seeing your beautiful home.thanks now I'am inspired again.

Michele, I really enjoy your home tour, it’s so simple yet elegant. As a young girl, used to clean houses for multiple clients in the neighborhood of Bedford hill NY, Darien CT, Stamford CT, and I always admire the simplicity of certain homes. Well now I own my own little home in Alexandria VA, and I had taken so many ideas the I learned from those homes. I love my home.
I have seen many home tours before but I have to say this has been the very best video ever. It is beautiful and my favorite part was the love that has gone into making this a home. ❤

Nice for those that have lots of money. Mine was built in 1977 and have updated but so thankful for a home after growing up in a 1100 sq ft home with 5 sharing a bathroom. I never realized we were kinda poor.❤ So many homeless😢

This home is beautiful, highly functional, warm, welcoming, everything good. All-in farmhouse is not usually for me, but I love this home. And I like the homeowner a lot. There is something special about her and I’d love to sit at a table at one of her gatherings. Lastly, the open staircase! Gorgeous.
