- In this video I take you on a tour of our home. When we purchased this home it needed a lot of TLC and many of the areas in our home were not finished so we went to work on a complete remodel. We show how we have made over most of the spaces in our home to fit our needs and make our home more efficient. We show the before and after's of our kitchen, family gathering areas, laundry and bedrooms. It's a small house so we show the many ways you can utilize the space you have and make it more efficient and functional. We do not have a microwave, dishwasher or dining table so we could use these spaces in other ways that worked the best for us. We show how we remodeled our kitchen on a budget and did most of the work in our home ourselves to save money. We show ways you can transform a house into a comfortable and affordable home. I also show how you can decorate on a budget and the many ways you can achieve that French country, shabby chic farmhouse style. Many of the pieces in our home are DIY projects or thrifted so you can decorate your home and not break the bank! Thank you so much! I got those big candle holders from a yard sale a few years ago. They were black so I chalk painted them. I got all 3 for $5. I'm so glad I found them :)

Your home is so beautiful, warm & snuggley. What a wonderful way to redo that kitchen. It was awful b4 & absolutely purrfect now. I love where you put the Frig. I can’t imagine it in the then dining room. That area is so much better as a sitting room with that great wood burning stove. I have one in my home & just love it. Great job you two. Your home is just adorable. I see lots of the DIY projects through out the rooms. I have the same armoire you have in your bedroom in my den. I also have the side shelving units that go at either end. I got this second hand nine years ago. I have been thinking about chalk painting it white. Just haven’t got the nerve to start a project of that magnitude by myself. Your home looks like it should be a magazine layout. You guys have done a beautiful job.

Thank you so much! Yes, and if we could've spared a few more inches of cabinet space we could've save a bunch of money but we just couldn't lose anymore storage. What's even sadder, the smaller stove doesn't have any bells or whistles, not even a clock or timer :( Oh well, it cooks my food so I'm happy!!
You can always do cute TV trays. ...or small bistro or gateleg table.......if u wanted.......theres those cute cats. Looking. !!! Omg.... I'm in LOVEEEEE with it! Ya know, watching this was something I've needed to see for a few years now. The house we live in is prolly 100 years old and it ORIGINALLY {we think} was kinda like a duplex except for it was upstairs and downstairs rather than side by side. Well at some point, someone made it into one big house. But whoever the "Einstein" was who did it {I can PROMISE YOU there was NO WOMAN'S INPUT LOL}. It's a 2 story 4 br 1 bath house, which sounds big.... And it IS if you just add up the sq footage, but the floorplan is sooo terribly awkward that it feels so cramped. I mean, like yall, "it works for us" because all our kids, grandkids, my momma and siblings all live 4 hours away so we never have company. {which is perfect fine with me lol} ANYHOO, right now we are only renting, but we MAY HAVE the chance to purchase it, owner finance, with the payment being the same as what we already pay in rent and it would be paid for in like 5 years. We've done ALMOST all we are willing to do to it as RENTERS but as soon as they decide to sell, IT'S ON!!!!!! Lol. Our kitchen is UPSTAIRS! What on earth? Lol. It's pretty big but the layout is sooo awkward that we can't have a table and chairs either. ANYHOO, I won't clog up your comments section any more than I already always do lol but there's so much more I'd like to tell you and get your opinion on, MOSTLY once we are actually BUYING IT! 😘 Thanx for sharing! You've given me a LOT to think about! And gurllll that water heater situation...... Don't think I didn't SCREENSHOT that and I'm gonna show Jeff when he gets home because THAT'S something we can do and take with us if we don't end up buying it! 😘 Hope you have a super sparkly day sweetie! Awe, first Lisa, thank you for always being so sweet and being so supportive. Sounds like you have challenges with some of your spaces like us :) Buying this house and making it work efficiently for us was a challenge but we knew it would be. I’m like you and walk through our house thinking who would have ever built a kitchen this small and then put the largest appliances in it to take up even more space :) we only have a closet and a half, no dishwasher or microwave, my frig is in my laundry room and no table! It’s not for everyone but like you, we don’t have a lot of company and when we do we just make it work. You get real creative and the most important thing is you have to purge big time and learn to keep the things you really use. Baskets make great storage and you continually keep purging so everything stays organized. I hope you get to buy your home and it sounds nice and affordable. That was another perk to this one, no mortgage. So it does have perks. I will always be happy to help you and you help me! Much love, Teresa❤️

I really enjoyed seeing your house. There are so many nice little vignettes and things to look at. I am inspired to try to improve my laundry area. It shares space with the furnace and the water heater, but like that you disguised your water heater. Like you, I try to re-use as much as I can....thanks again

I actually got those on eBay they are Roman Shades, but I think they are sold out or at least they were the last time I checked.

💘 what u did to kitchen..i too THOUGH want 2save my 1935 porcelain sink...so this gave me hope ! On a budget...i like how y used repurposed cabinets in other rooms!!...im going for a slightly rustic but more feminine old Hollywood/ sheer curtain ..french chic look ..all lite & white .neutral s too to brighten old dark house...i TOO have a lime green wall a ole roommate painted w/ o my permission!😠😠could of killed him.lol. not as bright as yours..hah..y'all did great job.. Mine is on my list.....
