I love the painting, it adds some needed color. If you put a few blue items (like a vase, etc) here and there in the room and maybe one blue pillow on the bed, that will help tie in the painting. The room is so much lighter and fresher now. Great job!

First I gotta say I love my daylight bulbs. I will never again use the yellow looking ones. When my daughter got her first apartment she found lamps at Goodwill exactly like the ones you have for close to the same price. And that was a long time ago. Everything you did looks great.
Kerri, I find when I stain wood, it goes better if Use a conditioner on it first (you can use a moist cloth first if the stain is water based. I also make sure to wipe with the grain. If I want a heavier coverage, a very tiny circular motion working down the grain works well. See two buttons one on each upper corner of the duvet. Turnt the duvet cover inside out and attach a biased tape loop to each upper corner that the button can go through, button and turn right side out. Some covers have ties already attached on the inside.
This video probably has the BEST MUSIC to it! But, on top of that is the amazing and beautiful transformation of the entire room! As always, your choices are impeccable!

The minimalist colors really helps out the room cause there is so much going on with the boards of the accent wall, the accent molding on the bed frame, along with the really thick curved trim of the bed frame, then the ribs of the lamp and the texture of the lamps, with those extremely textured nightstands. All those textures and molding styles on one wall is very very loud and busy. So the muted colors really help.

MaCenna (Ma-Ken-a)is one of my favorite DIYers including you. I have watched her for over a year since before she started her cottage. The bedroom turned out so good I like how it all turned out with the new paint and nightstand tops. I do miss the old lamps but I can appreciate wanting to change up your room. With the duvet cover if you flip it inside out and lay it over the top slowly fold it back over all of it it helps get it on.

I love the wall behind the bed painted a lighter color. It looks so good. And moving the tv, you have much more light. I’m going to redo our bedroom. I have a new comforter. I want some new nightstands, we just have tables. And we need storage. Why I want nightstands. I guess I should tell my husband about that. And I bought a curtain rod and curtains. I’m not sure they match. But that’s okay I can use them in another room.

The entire house was pretty much gutted and she to redo all the windows I mean everything. I love this color I hope you like it once you get it out together. I like the lighter colors, a nice refresh for summer. It does make the room look larger. Art above the bed works, looks good, a pop of blue.
I'm still using a bean pot lamp that I have had for 40 years. Still love it. I also spray painted it a taupe color.
